Gravelfur stopped at a small patch of flowers. "Brookpaw, come here! I found some tansy, not enough to pick, but you can at least see what it looks like so maybe you could keep an eye out!" he said. He broke into a fit of coughing, having strained his voice too much, and when he spoke again, it was even rougher than before. "I haven't seen yarrow yet, but I'm looking."

BrookPaw bounded over, sniffing it cautiously. Her ears perked up. "Got it!" She exclaimed happily, prancing around Gravelfur. "Are you okay?

"Yes, you are correct!" Gravelfur says as he comes closer. "Try to get as much as you can without picking all of it. I'm hoping leafbare doesn't kill these, so we can have more come greenleaf."

He picks up the tansy he's picked and began leading the way down to the lake, searching for yarrow. He stopped in front of a large clump. "Ohh, this patch looks nice. Help me get about half of it, then we can head back, okay?"

"Wow!" BrookPaw's eyes widened. "The lake is so pretty!" She smiled, reaching down with her paw and carefully pulling a clump of Yarrow up. "There's so much." She said in a muffled mew.

Gravelfur drops his herbs and sniffs at the air, then creeps forward to peer into the lake. "Well, that's because there are a lot more fish than usual," he says. "Bigger, too. Odd, seeing as it's getting colder out." He sits down, still staring at the water. "I'm sure IceClan will benefit from this abundance."

He shrugs. "You said it yourself, maybe StarClan has answers. The half-moon medicine cat meeting is coming up soon, maybe they'll tell me something then." He picks up his bundle. "Let's head back to camp and inform Bumblestar, then I'll sort these out."


((i vaguely remember a post with the FireClan leader being Bumblestar? I hope I got that right))
