Toriel looked worriedly at the two children behind her, but all of her worry was surprised out of her with a Flying Mint Bunny flied up to her.

"Ah! Mint! Nice to see you." Mint grinned and flied in circles.

"Heya Toriel! I found some new things to do in the Ruins! And- Hey! Who are those two lil' guys behind you?"

Ginger saw the bunny and grinned creepily. Looks like free EXP. She thought. She had her stick ready.

"These are the children I found while I was doing my daily walk around the RUINS." Toriel replied. Mint narrowed her eyes as soon as she saw the dust on both of their hands.

"Uh.. Yeah.. Tori, be careful okay? I gotta find Vegetoid for um.. stuff. BYE!" and she flew off.

Ginger went forward, but Toriel stopped and turned to them in front of the spike puzzle.

"This is the puzzle...but... here, take my hand for a moment." Toriel said.

Toriel held out her two hands. Ginger glared at Toriel's hand. "No thanks." Ginger muttered.

Toriel frowned.

Liliana looked at the furry paw before shaking her head.

Toriel sighed.

"If you won't hold my hand, then please, at least hold my dress. It would not be good if you got pierced by these spikes."

"I'll walk behind you, and that's the closest you'll get." Ginger spat. Toriel sighed. "Very well, then." Toriel said. She began to walk through the puzzle. Ginger followed slowly.

Liliana also followed, but almost squeaked as one of the spikes nearly tore through her jacket that she tied around her waist. She quickly recovered and followed Ginger and Toriel as they moved around the spikes.

Ginger reached the end, where Toriel was standing in front of them.

"Puzzles seem a little too dangerous for now." Toriel said, and went to the next room.

Ginger followed slowly.

"Both of you have done excellently thus far, my children. However, I have a different request to ask of both of you." Toriel fiddled with her hands for a few seconds before looking up.

"I would like both of you to walk to the end of the room by yourselves," she looked down. "Forgive me for this." and she quickly walked off.

Ginger started to walk down the hallway slowly.

When they got to the end of the hallway, Toriel came out from behind a pillar.

"Greetings, my children. Do not worry, I did not leave you. I was merely behind this pillar the whole time." Toriel told them.

"Oh gee, I totally DIDN'T see that by MYSELF." Ginger muttered, her voice dripping with sarcasm.

"To test your independence." Her eyes shifted back down.

"Hah, yeah ri-" Ginger started.

"I have an idea! I will give you a CELL PHONE. Oh dear! It seems I only have one! Please decide who will get it." Toriel said.

Ginger muttered something under her breath, and snatched the cell phone.

"If any of you have a need for anything, just call." she smiled. "Be good, alright?" and she walked off.

Ginger already went into the next room.

Ginger walked forward some more, and saw another yellow diamond. She went towards it, but then she saw a Whimsun.

Whimsun approached meekly!

Ginger grinned. Her hand was already over the FIGHT button.

Liliana also went to walk up to to the yellow diamond, but saw a Froggit hopping towards her.

Froggit hops close!

Liliana's hand was already over the FIGHT button, like Ginger was.

Ginger and Liliana both pressed the FIGHT button at the same time. Ginger hit the Whimsun with her stick, and the Whimsun's dust spread over Ginger's hands and onto the tip of her stick.

Ginger noticed that her LV also increased, and she smiled. It was probably that Froggit I killed earlier. She thought.
