"Oh, nothing, just the fact that you look like a nerd. Here, borrow my hat." Ellis said, and stuck her hat over his messy hair. She grabbed her messenger bag and put it over her shoulder. She opened the door before saying "See you soon!"

"Awww, but it looks cute on you!" Ellis pouted, crossing her arms at the boy and rolling her eyes. She looked him up and down, smiling a little. It looked quite cute on the boy, she noted.

Ellis lets out a 'humph' and called out to the other boy. "See ya later, love!" She said, before heading to the theater. She sits in the crowd and watches the girls and boys sing their hearts out, and thinks she could never be as good as them. Her name is called, and she leaves her items in her seat, before heading onto the stage. The four judges watch her, and one says "Sing whatever you like, dear." She nodded, and began to sing.

With a small bow, she stepped off the stage. Waiting till everyone was done, the judges talked. The lady who had told her to start stood and glanced at her papers. "The people to make it into the judging for main roles are: Joseph, Maria, Clarie, Carson, Jin, Alexis, Liam, and Ellis." Ellis heard her name, and joy lit up on her face. "The roles will be assigned by tomorrow!" Ellis stood ad went to her dorm room, and laid on her bed, joy on her face. She was gonna lay there till lunch, since she had no morning classes, only afternoon.

I heard the bell ring, signaling that it was lunch time. I got out of my chair and stood up. I left the classroom and made my way into the cafeteria, I opened the doors and walked inside and waited in the line. I got my lunch, which wasn't much at all. I wasn't that hungry. I looked around for an empty table, I found one in the bottom right corner of the lunch room, it didn't seem too popular, since no one was sitting there. I made my move and walked over to the table and sat down, and ate my food.

Ellis' watch buzzed, signaling that it was noon. She stood and stretched slightly. She grabbed her things, and headed to the lunch room. She was walking when someone tripped her, and she flew forward. The people behind her laughed as her face burned and she just continued walking. She entered the lunchroom, and the smell of food filled her senses. She sighed, and got some food. She saw Alain, and walked to him speedily, sitting across from him. "Guess what?" She asked, excitement in her voice.

I noticed Ellis walk towards me rather quickly and took a seat next to me, "Guess what?" I heard her say, she sounded excited "What is it?" I asked curiously. I felt like it had something to do with her Theater classes, but I didn't say anything.

"I might get one of the main roles in the fall musical!" Ellis said, tilting her head. A large grin had found its way onto her mouth, showing her shiny white teeth. Her legs were bouncing slightly, excitement in her every move.

I didn't know what to say, but I replied anyways "Really? That's cool." I didn't understand why it was so exciting but I just played along. Though I was happy for her to get one of the main roles in the play.

"Why'd you pat my head?" I asked, though I guess she figured out I was half-faking my excitement. I tried to focus on eating my lunch, what was the play even about? Oh well, I'll just ask later.

"I dunno... Reassurance?" Ellis gave a halfhearted shrug, picking up her fork. She stabbed it through her salad, eating some of the lettuce, ranch, and croutons that had gotten onto her fork by being pierced by the merciless blade of the fork.

"Oh, thanks, I guess." I said, as I continued to eat my lunch. It was a salad, with a side of fruit. I got the "Are you a vegetarian?" question a lot, but I did eat meat every now and then when it was available. I threw those thoughts aside as I picked up a slice of pineapple with my fork and popped it into my mouth.

Ellis put down her fork, and opened her tea bottle. Taking a swing of the sweet brown liquid, she used a thin finger to pick up the drip of the nectar, licking it off her index finger softly. She sighed, and looked at Alain, and realization flooded back to her. This wasn't her house. This was college. With lots of people. She looked around and noticed about 7 guys looking at her, and buried her face deep in her hoodie to hide her blush of embarrassment.

I turned towards Ellis, her face was buried inside her hoodie, face red with embarrassment. What was that all about? I turned around to see seven other guys looking at her,"Hey, what's wrong?" I asked, concerned for her. I didn't see what had happened, so I was quite worried, did those guys do something to her? Or maybe I was thinking too deep into it.

"Nothing. I did something stupid and embarrassing." Ellis said, her meek voice muffled by the fabric of her hoodie. The boys, noticing what they saw was true, wiggled their eyebrows ((Shoosh)) and made little cat calls. This only made the girl shiver and blush harder, shaking her head.

I rolled my eyes and called out to the boys "Leave her alone." then smirked at her "You can stand on stage and preform like it's no big deal, and this is enough to shake you up? Come on Ellis, you can do better then that." I pat her head encouragingly. Then added "I wouldn't worry about them, the guys are jerks here, but the girls can be even worse. And that's why I made myself invisible last year." I told her "You shouldn't let them get to you."

"I know but... they're complete pervs. They scare me. I'm glad I have you, Alain." Ellis picked her head up from her hoodie and looked down at the ground. She would glance up at Alain and the boys, but immediately looked away. She look at Alain longer, because the boys were doing pervy crap and smirking like there was no tomorrow... which their probably wouldn't be for them if her overprotective brother was there.

"Excuse me Ellis." I said before turning towards the boys and holding up my middle finger up to them. Then looked back towards Ellis "They need to get lives, not spend their time trying to get a girl. It makes them look desperate. Which by now I'm thinking they are." I grinned. I'm pretty sure my younger brother would call me Satan's spawn if I tried anything with these boys. I felt like doing it, not because of Ellis. But because they're jerks in general, and they need to learn. But I was pretty sure I'd get in a heap of trouble, which isn't good at all.
