Copper had just arrived at his shack when the egg started to hatch. He found the gardevoir who was extremely greatful for him finding her egg. "Gallade! (The egg is hatching!)" He yelled to the gardevoir who had coming running to collect her baby in her arms. "Gardevoir! (My baby is safe!)" The gardevoir said when the egg hatched and a sleeping ralts was in the mother's arms.

If life isn't fair, how do we laugh? If life isn't fair, how do we win? How do we smile? Just admit it. Life is fair, and you just want an excuse to be pessimistic. >:) -Xerneas

Shade looked at the egg in front of her. it was pulsing. "oh! its about to hatch!" shade exclaimed. "looks a lot like one of sage's pokeggs." scooping up the egg in her arms, she rushed to the forest determined to find her sister.

Copper and the gardevoir smiled at the new baby. "Gal gallade (you take good care of it!)" Copper said to the gardevoir as he began to walk toward his house. The gardevoir yelled for him to stop and he did so. She put the baby in his arms. "Garde (I can't take care of it. Cnn you?)" it asked, before seemingly disappearing into thin air. "Wow, what was that?" Copper asked himself, holding the baby in his arms as a fog rolled in.

"Sage? Sage!" shade yelled. looking frantically for her sister, the egg pulsing more strongly lighting the way in front of the fog. finally, shade heard the cries of newborn pokemon and followed the sound hoping it was sage and her pokemon.

Copper held the baby pokemon silently. "What happened? Was that gardevoir a ghost?" He asked himself as he put the baby pokemon in a bed and gave it a blanket. "I wonder what'll happen when it wakes up. Will it realize that I am not its parent?" He asked himself as he got some cool water to drink.

Sage put 4 of her pokemon in pokeballs and put them in her backpack. She let the zorua out of its pokeball.

Shadow brought out his Riolu, knowing it wanted some air, the Riolu went, "Ri! Riolu!" Which meant, "Where am I? Why have you taken me here?" So Shadow replied in Lucario without trying, "This is our new home, I hope you like it." After shadow replied he gave Riolu his favorite berry, an Oran Berry, and Riolu slowly chewed on it.

Copper turned his lights on once he felt safe. He looked and saw the baby ralts had started to open its eyes for the first time. It looked at him and stretched its arm out for a hug. "Gallade (Hey, how are you?)" Copper said to the baby ralts. It looked at him still wanting and hug. It got one. Copper now realized the restless spirit of a mother pokemon was looking for someone to raise its baby ralts. Copper smiled when he realized this and held the baby in front of him.

Shadow waited for the Riolu to finish eating the berry, and then Shadow pulled out a little wooden figure he crafted on his way to the den, a little Riolu figure, and put it in a small bag w/ string and tied the bag loosely around Riolu's neck.

The ralts seemed to have thought Copper was its parent. Copper realized this so he grabbed a sitrus berry and let it eat it. "It is cute. Raising this baby might be fun." Copper said, sitting the baby on the floor. Then he realized it was too young to walk. "Okay, how am I supposed to raise a baby?" He asked himself as if expecting an answer to come out of nowhere and smack him.

Riolu had tried to get up to hug Shadow, but Shadow grabbed the Riolu before he could stand up and hugged the riolu as gently as ever while starting to cry about having a new best friend, but what Shadow didn't know was that the Riolu had the special power to megavolve.

Copper gave the ralts some water to drink and walked into the next room to get it some more food. When he came back, the ralts had tried to follow him into the room by crawling. "Okay, I really need to know how to raise this baby so the ghost of that gardevoir can be at peace." Copper said, picking up the baby and smiling at it.

A few minutes had passed and Shadow stopped crying, and now said in a deeply sad Lucario voice, "Take care of it, if I die or get lost, it will help you remember me, and I made one for me, too in case I need to remember you, too..." Shadow's love for the riolu had grown into the little pokemon's systems, now.

Copper was on his couch watching some news. The baby now surely asleep in his lap he made no sound as it slept peacefully with a quiet snore. "Maybe I am the right guy for the job." Copper said to himself as he remembered the smile of the gardevoir when he took the baby and its overall gratifying feeling.

Shadow made it to the front of Copper's door, when he felt a new presence, apparently Shadow's Riolu detected it too, because it out up a defensive stance, as well as Shadow did.
