She giggled, "Sure. But you're also a huge geek with a nice voice."
Allium flipped to her stomach, still on the surface of the water.
She dangled her feet in the air and still held her red face in her
hands, smiling.
"Hey, Allium, I meant to ask you if--" Rogue said, opening the
door. "Oh okay never mind then," he mumbled quickly, bursting out
of the room. Allium glanced back, falling under the surface in
surprise. She rose back, wrapping her arms around his waist and
giggling into his collarbone.
Matthew watched at Rogue went running off after he walked in and
blinked, then looked down at Allium and blushed furiously.
he laughed a little and hugged her.
''you alright?'' he asked.
"Yeah," she said, the last bits of laughter fading, "yeah. Just
found that funny, for some reason." Allium pressed her cheek to his
shoulder and clung onto him tightly as if she would drown if she
didn't. She could float just fine and probably support the both of
them if she really wanted to, but she didn't.
''well Rogue did just go running like a bat outta hell just now''
Matthew said, laughing a little bit.
he brushed some of her hair back out of her face again and
smiled.
''though he did just barge in without knocking..... i was enjoying
the alone time we were having...'' he mumbled, kissing her on the
forehead.
"Well, you can't blame him. It's really not that much of a private
place," she replied, kissing him lightly on the lips. She paused
before breaking free, swimming a little bit away from him. "He did
ruin the moment a bit, though." Allium sighed and looked towards
the top of the pool, floating back to the surface so that she stood
on the water.
"It's been a while. It's about time we get out, yeah? Plus we get
to see Crystal and Adriane's reactions," she said happily, smiling.
Allium drained herself of water and simply let it plop back into
the pool in a large bubble, bouncing a bit on her feet as she
walked across the surface to the edge.
he blushed faintly and pouted.
''aw... but i was enjoying our alone time...'' Matthew muttered,
crossing his arm's.
but he reluctantly went to the steps that he walked down when he
entered the water and walked out, stretching a bit while running a
hand through his hair.
The flush in her face returned mildly as she watched him walk out
of the pool, to which Allium only glanced at the door. "Maybe
another day," she suggested promisingly, combing her hair with her
fingers. She then paused before adding, "Although I am a bit busy
for the rest of the week."
''o-oh, okay, um... i guess thanks for the heads up....?'' he
muttered, looking over at her before he looked away again and
rubbed the back of his neck. for.. the rest of the week.....? what's going to be keeping her
so busy...? he thought, soon becoming lost in thought for the
moment.
"Well, I'll um... be going then," Allium blurted, mentally
facepalming. She was rambling again out of her own
awkwardness--Rogue's interruption had embarrassed her a bit more
than she wanted to admit. Allium slipped out of the room and closed
the door behind her, saying nothing more. She took a deep breath
before walking back to the living room.
he watched her leave and blinked, letting his arm fall to his
side.
Matthew sighed and looked down, lightly hitting himself in the
forehead muttering to himself, then went to go dry off ad channel
Allium rubbed her cheeks a bit as she sat on the couch next to
Rogue, who was politely acting as if nothing had happened. He had
probably let it slip out by accident, anyway.
Crystal had taken up residents in Matthew's recliner and was
jotting stuff down into a notebook that was different from the one
she had when they first got back to the cottage.
Adriane quickly wandered out to the living room, wearing more
casual clothing which consisted of a pair of denim shorts, a pair
of black leggings underneath the denim shorts, a shirt where the
color also went around the shoulder's, a sleeveless vest, and her
hair tied back in a messy loop ponytail while she was holding a
tote bag over her shoulder, mumbling to herself as she rechecked
that she had the right amount of the stuff for her order a few
times.
Adeline was humming as she washed the dishes. She hadn't taken
Crystal's comment to any level of seriousness--it was more of an
attempt to be a help around the cottage. Raven stood somewhat near
her, watching silently. He had tried to help, but Adeline pushed
him to the sidelines when he nearly dropped a plate within the
first five seconds. Raven glanced at Adriane as she entered the
living room, and then at the door. He was confused on whether or
not her client was coming to the actual cottage, although it made
little difference to him.
Adriane glanced over her shoulder and met Raven's gaze, holding it
for a moment before she smiled and went to the kitchen.
''hey, if you want Raven you could tag along, just you'll have to
stay hidden so you don't freak my customer out, i'd appreciate
someone coming with me'' she said, smiling a little as she stood in
the doorway that led to the kitchen.
"Okay," Raven said bluntly. He looked back at Adeline for approval,
to which she chortled and elbowed him lightly. Staying hidden was
his forte and he was more than happy to do so. He walked over to
Adriane. Raven paused before giving her a half-hearted, lopsided
smile (Adeline had told him more than once that his constant
straight face was a bit offputting).
she giggled and smiled brightly.
''you look better with a smile then a straight face.... you look
more human that way'' she said softly, blushing fairly faintly, yet
still somewhat visible, before she headed for the door, motioning
for him to follow.
