Basically what the title says. Being able to subscribe and unsubscribe to a feed so we can be notified of comments on somebody else's feed (or stop seeing them).

Other user's ideas for this suggestion
Queen_Pumpkaboo:
-Adding a filter to see subscribed feeds.
-Option to show that a feed was deleted.

Do you mean being notified when someone comments on it, as though you made it?
If so, I support! ^^

I'm not sure if this is the same idea as this but if so it has been suggested.

Ah, I didn't see that thread, but the implication there isn't specified and I think it's a different idea, anyway.

I think Diana means you can get notified if you subscribe to a feed of somebody elses and a comment is made on it - No support

Thanks for your input, but may I know why you don't support this?

It'd be useful instead of going back to that person's profile to see replies, especially when you have bad memory and often times forget who posted what xD

I don't support because the person might not want you to see what the feed is about, or what comments it might have. Also, it's not that hard to visit the profile of the user who made the feed

The person publicly posted the feed, and all comments are public. Also, as Diana said, people may have bad memories, and this would be really helpful to them.

Um, if they don't want you to see that feed well, it's not like they can stop somebody from doing so (besides deleting the feed). If a person wants to see a feed, they're going to, one way or another. This just helps to make it easier.

Even so, you already get feeds if the user is your friend, so it's not that hard. What about the feeds that disappear? Some users make more then one feed everyday, so i think it would be quite useless to subscribe to a feed if it just disappears and nobody can comment anymore

It's has no negative effect if the feed is deleted - it's just neutral and useless - and it DOES have a positive effect while the feed remains, so... I fail to see your point. That's like saying that feeds themselves shouldn't exist because people delete them sometimes.

Some of us don't want to add those people, though, for multiple reasons, or maybe the person just has a lot of friends and gets a lot of Feeds each day. About the second part: I don't see why that's a reason to not have this. By saying that, it's like one saying that it's useless to have a Subscribe button in the Forums when threads can get deleted and it becomes useless.

I don't mean the feeds that are deleted, i mean the feeds that are still there, but are unviewable. Those are the feeds that really make no sense to subscribe to in the first place... At least not to me, anyways

What feeds are you talking about? o.o That doesn't happen anywhere, as far as I know.

Then a person doesn't have to subscribe to them. It won't make a difference, either way. Also, what if a person deletes a lot of their feeds? Then the old ones will pop up and still possibly get a reply.

Carpet: Only a certain amount of feeds show up, the rest are hidden.

Disabled, as in preventing people from subscribing? I wouldn't mind that.

OH. I get what you're saying now. XD
Still, I don't see how that has any negative effect... Why are you so against something that has no negative effect ever, no positive effect sometimes, and a positive effect most of the time?

What does disabling it even do? You... disable yourself from optionally subscribing to feeds?

Ninja'd so many times...
Why would you disable people from subscribing to your feeds? It makes no sense.

I wasn't suggesting having the option of disabling other people from subscribing... I was suggesting the option of not being able to subscribe to a feed if you don't want to
