Khaalida smiled and focused on her work, her hands moving in perfect unison as she completed the stitch work on a few bits at the bottom of the dress. "It's my pleasure to help you Melez," She took a deep breath and let it out with her word. "There, all done." She stood up and took a step back to momentarily admire her handiwork, before admiring the angel that was wearing it. "How does it look?" She asked softly. Melez grinned as she carefully pulled up the fabric to check the seam. "Oh it's perfect! Thank you!" She turned and hugged the pale woman tightly. "Now, where's your dress?" Khaalida scurried off to go get it, then rushed into the bathroom before anyone would see her put it on.
Nathana busied herself with making the final touches to the bouquets that Eona and Melez would carry.
Drayce huffed and sighed as he straightened this, flattened that, and combed his hair more times than he thought he had in his whole life. "I need to stop sweating! Geez, I need to calm down... And they say the girls are the ones who get pre-wedding jitters..." He mumbled to himself as he went about getting ready.

Hecate had finished dressing and went to find Nat. She could take over what Nat was doing so that the woman could go change. On her way, Azazeal, handsome in a midnight blue tuxedo, stopped her.
"Hecate? Can you find Khaalida and send her my way? I need to talk to her," Azazeal said, anxious but hiding it well. She nodded and went to find the pale woman.
Faolan came up behind Drayce and put a hand on his shoulder. "You'll be fine. Family all around? We've got your back," he said, straightening the dragon's collar. "You've got this. She's already said yes. Not to mention you've got hatchlings on the way," he chuckled.

Nathana watched the two of them after she had finished with the flowers, quite pleased with how they looked. She needed to go get dressed as well. Where was Hecate?
Drayce saw Faolan coming in the mirror, so he didn't jump, but he definitely was tense. "Y-you're right," He took a deep breath and let it out quickly. "Thanks," He smiled and adjusted a stray piece of hair that stuck up on the top of Faolan's head.

Hecate knocked on the door where Melez and Khaalida were preparing. Inhaling sharply, she smiled. "Oh...you both look stunning! But I must pull Khaalida away. Azazeal needs you for something. Something important. He can't see Melez. Not until the ceremony," she said, then went on to tell Khaalida where he was, adding, "I can take care of any finishing touches. Eona is ready. I think it's just Nat who needs to get dressed."
Faolan chuckled, grinning. "It's just gonna stick right back up. I've tried to get it to behave for like, three hours now. But no one will be looking at me. All eyes will be focused on the girls and their dresses, then the love between you couples," he said, giving him a brief hug.

Khaalida stepped back from Melez and looked to Hecate with a blush. "Your dress is so pretty too, and I wonder what he needs from me..." She added as she walked off to find him, which she did pretty easily. "You needed me Azazael?" Her quiet voice called once she was near.
Melez went over and hugged Hecate. "Oh you're simply stunning! Just dazzling! And you're not in your shiny form," She giggled and looked down at her own dress. "I waxed my wings last night after Azazael fell asleep, that way they're shinier today, and will hopefully match my dress a bit more." She turned to the door and gasped again as she watched Nathana come back with her own dress "Well? How is it?" She asked with a huge grin. "I was going for sort of an earthy color..."
Drayce laughed as he patted Faolan on the back. "Ever thought of cutting just that one?" He took a breath and nodded. "I just hope I don't flub the words..."

Eona wondered in a few moments later, a hand over her belly as she smiled at her friends. "I'm so excited. Hecate, you're sure I can't hug Drayce?" "You'll catch bad luck. Almost ready. They'll be heading towards the alter soon," Hecate said.
"It might be nothing but it might be real. I need to know there is someone here ready and able to keep an eye out without scaring the entire group. My father appeared in it. I know he talked right to me...kept threatening Melez and our family. I promised I wouldn't keep you in the dark. But I don't want anyone to panic if it's nothing. At least if we're on guard, we'll be okay," Azazeal said, explaining more about the dream.
"Nah. I have to keep it so you have something funny to look at if you need it," Faolan chuckled, grinning. "Don't worry, if you get confused, just look at her and speak from the heart. Or look at me and I'll mouth some romantic sonnet," he said with a shrug.

Melez chuckled. "You could have a hug from us Eona," She offered, arms spread. "You look lovely, you all look lovely." She said with a huge smile, her tattoo clearly visible on her back, along with a few stray scars that crisscrossed over her spine and shoulders.
Any semblance of a smile vanished from Khaalida's features as she nodded. "I'll be ready." She turned to go back to the girls, but stopped and looked back. "If your father does try something, let him focus his attentions on me. Let him do as he wishes with me. Unless he's one for breaking promises he can't kill me, but you and the others he could kill. Azazael, swear to me that you'll let me take his focus," She took a step towards him, her white dress shifting with her movement. "Please."
Drayce laughed and patted Faolan's shoulder again. "Thank you, I think I can do it, especially if you're there with me." He chuckled and glanced around. "Where's Azazael? I haven't seen him yet..."

"I definitely would like to take you guys up on that offer," the nervous dragon said, striding towards the group, her arms raised for a group hug. "I am so excited. Is it almost time?"
Azazeal let out a sigh and hugged her. "You guys...the whole lot of you really make me rethink things. I don't want to but...I will...you're plan is a solid one. I'll get the others out, get them to go somewhere safe. Then I am coming back and I am going to help. Take him down somehow. What if he takes you out? Knocks you out or sends you somewhere?" the god asked, releasing Khaalida. "What will we do then? Eona and Drayce can't be here. I don't know if I even want Nathana and Hecate to right with him. I know there will be no talking Faolan out of it. Nor Melez. Perhaps Zach can get her connections or talk her out of it..." he mused.
"Not sure. Should we go find him? It's almost time for us to start helping seat people, right?" Faolan asked.

Melez enveloped the dragoness in a hug. "Tonight will be wonderful, the sky was clear the last I checked, the temperature perfect, the moon not too bright, and all of us together."
Khaalida smiled as she patted Azazael's back. "Perhaps Melez could take Eona, Drayce, Nat and Hecate back to the cave? That way they'd all be out of the way, plus, Melez couldn't argue with your logic. Someone needs to be there to protect them, and who better than the bride of the son of Death." Khaalida shook her head and waved a hand. "If he does that then so what? He can't kill me, or be the cause of something that kills me. I'm the perfect opponent for him. Also," She grinned. "I could probably get some sort of herb that would wake me up if I was rendered unconscious. You know, like smelling salts."
"It is almost time, you're right..." Drayce took a deep breath. "We might want to go see if we can find him." He glanced around before his eyes settled on Faolan. "Can you smell him?"

Eona nodded, breathing easier. "It'll be wonderful. I just think I'm nervous because I think it'll be time for me to lock myself away soon. I'm getting antsy. Instincts kicking in and pulling me in certain directions," she told them, excited for all sorts of reasons.
"That sounds like a really good plan to me. Thank you, Khaalida. So very much. Whatever happens, I'm glad you're here. I will make sure you are never lonely again. I intend to be by your side, your friend through thick and thin. I'm a god of death. I'm pretty durable," Azazeal chuckled.
Faolan chuckled. "Can I sniff him out? Course I can," he said, nodding in the direction his nose told him the god was. "Let's go get him and his brother. Ready?"

Khaalida smiled and curtsied very gracefully. "And I am Khaalida, the deathless," She chuckled softly as she started walking back. "I've not died yet, and I've got no choice in keeping it that way." She headed back to where the girls were waiting.
Drayce nodded. "Let's go." He strode off in the direction Faolan indicated at a swift pace. Racing through his mind were so many different ways he could mess something up. Forget a line, forget this, mess up that. No. He had friends, he had help. He wasn't alone. He let a smile creep onto his features as he looked for Azazael.

Hecate gave Nat a kiss before going to find the boys. She passed Khaalida on the way and gave her a brief hug. "Just because," she murmured, smiling before continuing on. When she found the boys, Faolan had led Drayce to Azazeal. The three of them and a grinning Zorn who had wondered over to them, looked handsome in their suites. "You guys ready? I think it's about time for you to head to the alter," She told them, smiling as she gently herded the guys there. "You all look dashing and the brides are beautiful. We'll see you in a bit."
"Bossy," Azazeal chuckled, teasing her lightly. "No wonder my mother picked you out. We're going, promise," he told Hecate, putting his arms around Drayce and Zorn's shoulders. He put a hand on Faolan's shoulder so he could reach all of them. "Ready? Let's go." With that, he steered them to the large venue out beneath the stars.

Melez nodded and kissed her on the cheek. "Sooner than you'll know." She smiled and motioned for the dragoness to turn around for one final inspection of her hair. "Looks all good here Eona," She took a breath and let her wings out. Though she had lost feathers, her wings still looked full. She had just waxed them, so they were all shiny. "Any feathers out of place?" She asked as she turned around.
Khaalida waited patiently for the time to walk.
Drayce smirked at the exchange between Azazael and Hecate, before he walked with the other men to where everyone was waiting. He relaxed, and a smile spread on his lips. He was so anxious, but he was with friends, everything would be alright.

"You ladies ready?" Hecate asked, coming into the room. "The guys just set off for the alter. It's our turn now." The tall, graceful redhead took Nat's hand, eager to see the expressions on the couples faces as they met each other across the venue. "I'm so excited," she whispered to Nat, almost buzzing.
Azazeal took a breath, flashing their friends and family a smile. Zorn and Faolan stood behind the two grooms, looking to where the girls would appear. The dark haired god couldn't wait for the tell tale red of Melez's hair, horns and wings to appear. He knew she's catch his breath and he couldn't wait!

Nathana pulled up Hecate's hand and kissed it softly. "As am I Hecate, oh me too..." She whispered back as she walked beside her.
Drayce stared at the doors, then looked to Azazael, anticipation flaring in his eyes. He was almost shaking he was so on edge. He knew that once he saw Eona he'd feel better, but oh he couldn't wait!!

Hecate giggled, leaning in to steal a soft kiss from Nat before starting forward with her and Khaalida, leading the two brides out to the venue under the stars.
Azazeal's breath caught in his throat when he saw them. Of course his eyes were locked solely on Melez. Nothing in the world was more important a sight then her, walking down the rows of people towards him. His bride, his soon to be wife, his best friend and soulmate. His heart began pounding in his chest and he took a step forward, waiting for her.

Khaalida and Nathana stayed with Hecate, and once they had delivered the girls to the alter, they stepped to the side.
Drayce's world froze as he laid his eyes on Eona. He swore his heart stopped beating, and only noticed that he'd forgotten to breathe when he gasped. She moved so elegantly, every motion perfect. Everything about her made him feel that much more in love with her.

Faolan winked over at Khaalida, his heart skipping a beat. She was in white at a wedding and he was wearing this very handsome suit...maybe one day, they'd have a wedding of their own...looking to Drayce and Azazeal, Faolan's shoulders bounced in suppressed laughter. They looked beyond happy.
Hecate smiled, settling in between the girls, taking Nat's hand for the ceremony. She brushed her hand against Nathana's before knitting their fingers together.
Azazeal smiled, his hand held out to Melez when she was near enough. His heart swelled and he blinked back tears. They were here. They'd made it. Everything was going to be amazing! Leaning in, he brushed his lips against her forehead. "My beautiful star..." He knew it wasn't exactly form but he didn't care. It needed to be said and he was going to tell her.

Khaalida was watching Faolan, and restrained herself from giggling as she spotted his wink. When they started the vows she cast her eyes to the women, for perhaps that'd be her someday, with Faolan across from her.
Nathana smiled to herself as she felt Hecate's fingers, and she clasped her fingers between Hecate's, a calm smile on her lips as they started the vows.
Drayce took Eona's hands in his own, his bright blue eyes staring into hers. She completed him in so many ways that she didn't even know. He almost missed the cue to begin the vows.
"You cannot possess me for I belong to myself, but while we both wish it, I give you that which is mine to give. You cannot command me for I am a free person, but I shall serve you in those ways you require, and the honeycomb will taste sweeter coming from my hand. I pledge to you that yours will be the name I cry aloud in the night. And the eyes into which I will smile in the morning. I pledge to you the first bite of my meat, and the first drink from my cup. I pledge to you my living and dying, equally in your care. And tell no strangers our grievances. This is my wedding vow to you. This is a marriage of equals."

Eona grinned up at Drayce, her tattoo running up and down her arms, over her chest and dancing to the beat of her heart. She was never letting go. This was her one and only mate.
Faolan smiled, brushing at his eye as he watched the couples complete their vows. Looking over to Khaalida, he wondered what was going through her head.
"Beautiful," Hecate breathed, squeezing Nat's hand.
