She shadowed off of the bed slowly so he wouldn't be moved with the change in weight on the bed. She got the brush and stood by the small desk in the room brushing out her hair. Red? You there? Zach? That you? Who else? She could tell in his tone that he was smirking. It's been so long! How are you? Oh, I've been just fine, but you on the other hand... I heard you're finally getting hitched to Azazael! Mhm! That's tomorrow night! Today and tonight are the parties that come just before the wedding, the bache- somethings... Bachelor and bachelorette parties? Yeah! Those. Oh, Zach, thank you again for helping me all those times, As before, it was my pleasure Red. You're an amazing young woman who deserves nothing but the best, and a long life to enjoy the best. If you were here I'd hug you! Melez had finished brushing her hair and set the brush down, a huge smile on her face. She wanted to invite Zach to the wedding, but wasn't sure if Azazael would be okay with that.
Nathana groaned quietly as she adjusted her grip on Hecate, who she had held onto for the night. She was having a not too pleasant dream... Fire, death, pain... Her breathing was deep as she fought her own nightmares.
Khaalida laid there in bed, her deep blue eyes studying Faolan's features as he slept. She was wondering about how their future would go.
Azazeal shifted in his sleep but didn't quite wake yet. Though, in recent days, he'd been wondering after Zach. He hadn't asked about him, but had been meaning to. The god hoped Zach was doing well and would come to the wedding.
Hecate stirred, a spirit disturbing her slumber to the point she woke. Groaning, she woke enough to tell it off. But Nathana caught her attention and Hecate focused on her. "Oh...Nat...Nathana, honey...wake up. It's just a dream...honey, it's okay! I'm here," she said, gently shaking Nat's shoulder.
Curling into her closer, Faolan mumbled something in his sleep. Something about her and flowers.
Melez stilled and looked over to Azazael and took a breath. Zach? Yes, Red? Would you, I mean, if you wanted to, and if Azazael thought it alright, w-would you... Come to the wedding? Yes, how did you know? I can see your thoughts and feel your emotions, or rather the memory of your emotions. Anyways, in answer to your question, I'd love to. Though do ask Azazael first, I definitely wouldn't want to intrude on your special evening. I will ask! Oh be sure I'll ask! Melez let out her breath in a soft sigh as she carefully shadowed herself back into bed to lay with her fiancé until he awoke.
Nathana's eyes shot open and she sat bolt upright, her skin thickened and her spine bristled with spikes. She quickly got control of her breathing and her hide returned to soft skin. "Oh Hecate," She pulled the other woman into a hug showering her neck in kisses. "Oh thank you, thank you," She breathed, her form shaking.
Khaalida smiled and just laid there enjoying his smell and just being beside him. She decided there'd be plenty of time for worry later on.
Azazeal woke soon after, smirking at Melez. "The next time I wake, we'll be married. Hecate is going to make sure we don't cause bad luck and see each other before the wedding tomorrow..." Azazeal sighed, then kissed her nose.
Hecate held her, gently rubbing her back. "Shhh....I've got you...what happened? You were having quite the nightmare..."
A smile graced Faolan's lips and he stretched, murmuring, "You're up already? So early...what are you thinking about?"
Melez smiled and kissed his nose back. "Oh, you won't see me," She giggled and sat up, her hands clasped in her lap. "Azazael," She began. "I, have a question and I want to make sure I don't upset you by asking..."
"Yes, quite the nightmare..." Nathana took a breath and still clung to Hecate tightly. "These people, they came to the cave and began burning the rocks... I couldn't move... I couldn't save you, any of you... You all burned, and I couldn't save you..." Nat's tears fell onto Hecate's back in large, warm drops.
"I'm sorry if I woke you," Khaalida sat up slowly. "I was just thinking about the future, okay I was worrying about the future and then decided to stop worrying." She chuckled softly.
Azazeal sat up, gently pulling her into his lap. "I'm okay. What's on your mind, love?" He was worried it was something very serious and potentially dangerous.
Hecate just kept holding her, rubbing her back in soothing circles. "Oh, honey...that's terrifying and horrible! I'm so sorry...I wish I'd woken soon so I could wake you from that! Should we make a plan for such an emergency? Would it help calm your nerves? I know it'd make us all better prepared."
Faolan chuckled, following her into a sitting position and kissing her gently. "You didn't wake me. I'm glad you don't want to worry. What is causing you such worry?"
Melez sighed slightly before asking. "Azazael, I'd like to invite Zach to the wedding, but I wanted to make sure it'd be okay with you, and neither of us wanted to upset you and, and," She rushed through, her cheeks getting a little red.
Nathana shook her head and pulled back enough to look into Hecate's eyes. "I doubt it'd ever happen, I mean, making the stone of the cave burn? That's ridiculous... Though I couldn't think of that at the time..." She shook her head once more and moved closer to hug Hecate again.
Khaalida smiled and kissed him back just as gently. "Oh, just stupid stuff, nothing that needs worrying over." She chuckled and lightly booped his nose with her finger before getting up.
"Oh! I'm really glad you remembered! I knew I was forgetting someone extremely important! I feel like a jerk not remembering him sooner. Yes please! I would be honored to have him come. He deserves to come, after everything he did to help us get here," Azazeal said, reaching out to cup Melez's cheek.
Hecate held her close, shaking her head. "I'm sorry, honey...it's had to be terrifying. You didn't have a chance to think if it was rational or not.
Faolan laughed, gently tugging her back down, kissing her deeply. "So long as I get to see you smile and here you laugh, I'll be good."
Melez smiled and closed her eyes as she leant her head into his hand. "Thank you, I'll let him know." She placed her hand over his on her cheek. I assume you heard that... Actually no. I was being polite and didn't intrude. Well, uh, he sorta, you know... O-oh, it's alrigh- Said that you should come and that he'd be honored if you did! Red! That was mean! She could hear his laughter and that made her smile widen. So, when should I arrive? I would think that sunset tomorrow would be a good time to show up, that way you can meet some of the other people there. Sounds wonderful! I'll make sure to dress to the nines. What? Just an expression, don't worry about it, see you tomorrow evening Melez. See you there Zach. Melez opened her amber eyes and turned to kiss his palm. "He'll come."
Nathana slowly got a hold of her shaking, but still held tightly to Hecate. "I don't want to think about it anymore," She took a deep breath. "Shall we go check on the others? I think I smell breakfast..." She didn't want Hecate to worry about her, and just wanted to forget the nightmare.
Khaalida chortled as he grabbed her and she kissed him back, a grin on her face. "And you'll get to see me smile, and hear me laugh for a long time."
"Glad to hear it! He'll have a place of honor. And I'll make sure my brother doesn't bother him," Azazeal chuckled.
Hecate nodded, hugging her still. "Sounds good to me. I'm guessing it's a hungry mama dragon and her mate," she giggled, still worried about Nat but willing to do normal things to try to help her get over the nightmare.
"Good! Because I love it and will never tire of hearing it," Faolan grinned.
His brother will be no issue. He'll likely end up like a sibling to me anyways, though I don't know how that'd work since we're not related... I do hope everyone likes you, I think they will. I hope they will too. "He says that your brother won't be an issue." Melez giggled and kissed him.
Nathana shifted and picked up Hecate, finding some sort of solace in holding her and carrying her. She lowered her head and nuzzled into Hecate's neck as she moved out of the nest and down to the floor.
Khaalida blushed slightly. "And I will never get bored of seeing you smile, or hearing you speak."
Azazeal chuckled. "Ahh, but you've never met a Zorn, Zach. I wish you the best of luck," he said, then kissed Melez again. "I love you," he murmured. "Shall we go see what the parents to be have cooked up this morning? I think it's adorable he follows her like that. And I'm happy too see them about to have hatchlings."
Hecate wrapped her arms around Nat, nuzzling back. "I used to hate being carried around. Manhandling is one of my pet peeves. But being carried by you? Oh, yes. I adore that."
Faolan chuckled. "Aren't sick of my voice yet? A good thing. As I enjoy talking with you," he told her, getting to his feet.
"I love you too," Melez murmured against his lips. "Perhaps we can help with the cooking too! And yes, I'm so excited for them. Even though they don't need any extra excitation since they're already both excited." She giggled quietly.
"You didn't like being carried?" Nathana hummed softly as she carried Hecate towards the kitchen. "Well, I'm glad you like it when I carry you," She whispered before kissing Hecate.
Khaalida chuckled and pulled him back down gently. "I don't think I'll ever tire of hearing your voice." She said with a smirk.
Azazeal laughed, kissing her back. "Right behind you with that. Yes, our friends are definitely excited," he said standing and leading her to the kitchen.
"Back before I got l free. Being carried was normally a bad thing," Hecate said, wrapping her arms around Nat.
Faolan laughed, wrapping his arms around her. "I've got plenty to tell you. Mostly about how wonderful you are."
Melez stayed by his side and leant her head on his shoulder as they walked. "Breakfast already smells good," As if in support of this, her stomach grumbled.
"From now on, being carried will be a good thing, I'll make sure of it." Nathana paused to smile down to Hecate in her arms before emerging into the kitchen. "Morning you two!" She called out to Eona and Drayce, the latter of which replied with a wave and grin.
"But I don't want to hear about me, I want to hear about you," Khaalida wriggled out of his grip and leapt off the bed and out into the hall, leading him to the kitchen were he to follow.
"Good morning all," Azazeal greeted, an arm wrapped around Melez as they entered the kitchen. "This place always smells amazing."
Hecate kissed Nat, nodding. "You already have. Never ha e I felt anything but happy and safe in your arms. Good morning all. So, Eona, Melez, you two ready for your day of pampering and girls?" Hecate asked, head resting on Nat's shoulder.
Faolan chuckled and set off after her. "Looks like we have to compromise and I'll tell you both."
