Whenever you call that Pokemon out of his/her/its pokeball, you'll gain one of its prominent features. (For example a flame on your back for a charmander, a sprout for Bulbasaur, water cannons for blastoise etc.)

You could bring your best friend back to life, who died some months ago from an accident and he/she will come back to life with no getting sick from anything anymore
but
you have to kill your currently best friend, who even is like a brother or sister for you, but you haven't spend much time with him/her as your other best friend did.
(It's a hard decision I know...)
