Damon really didn't like that. He took Saint to the village and landed there. He hated being in his dragon form in front of every one but he didn't want Saint going anywhere. "Joe? I brought back the little boy you wanted. Talk to him and move him out." He stood over Saint as Joe hurried over. Then Damon took to the sky. He was antsy and flew around the waterfall, agitated. Half breed...how had he guessed? Most couldn't figure it out...unless they had some demon in them...but that didn't make you a bad person...

Saint snickered a bit, glancing around the compound as Joe hurried over to him. This was going to be quite easy considering how riled up Damon could get just from a few words.

Joe looked in the direction Damon had gone and frowned at Saint. "So...what was that about?" he asked.

Damon circled the waterfall before diving in, still in his dragon form.

Saint glanced at Joe and shrugged " dude was just annoyed I looked at his girl and that I could smell he had some human in him, no clue why he flipped out over that.."

Lucy lazed on a patch of sunny grass near the waterfall, lost in thought.

Damon landed near her, too agitated to shift back.

Saint made a dismissive gesture " no skin off my back, he didn't physically attack me so its nothing to worry about "

Lucy stood up and walked over to hi, gently resting a hand on him, looking up into his face with concern.

Joe frowned more. "Well...do you mind coming with me? I need to assign you someplace to stay and fill in some information about you for our records."

He turned towards her, leaning into her hand. "He...called me a half breed...I know I am but still...not many people should be able to tell. Normally, only those of demonic descent should he able to tell..."

Saint nodded " sure ok.." best to at least pretend that he was on Joe's side, for now at least.

Saint laced his fingers and stretched a bit before answering. " James, Saint, Watson, age 28 , originally from Houma Lousiana, second form? I'm a gator " he grinned snarkily.

Lucy leaned into him, trying to calm him down with simply her touch. " I just hope I'm wrong.."

He nodded, writing it down. "Do you mind if I see? I've got to list any identifying markers."

He sighed and calmed, coiling around her. "I really hope he's okay...that he has just had a hard life..."

He frowned for a moment, shrugged and stood up. " Fine whatever it ain't all pretty but ya did ask.." a deep red black edged mist surrounded him and with a few nasty bone and liagament popping noises he changed. A minute or two later a huge deep grayish green alligator stood in the tent, narrow eyes glaring, a growling hiss rumbling from its depths.

Lucy nodded " I hope so, I mean it would be bad to have a hard life but , well you know.."

Joe watched, frowning more. Something was off...he couldn't tell exactly what it was but he knew something was wrong. Making notes, Joe got what he needed and thanked Saint. "Now, we just need to get you someplace to stay."

"I know. A hard life is much preferable to what I fear is going to happen..." Damon said, shifting to hold her.

Saint shifted back to his human form, but not before hissing at Joe again. With another grow, a snap of his jaws and a flick of his heavy tail he changed back. " I told you it wasn't a pretty sight but you had to see "

She frowned, snuggling close to him " what are you so worried about? "

Joe gave him a sad smile. "There is a lot of stuff that I must see that isn't pretty. That wasn't bad. Now, do you want a room mate or will you be good on you're own?" he asked.

"I don't know for sure...demons and all things like that make me really uneasy. It really bothers me he knew...But I don't want to focus on that. I want to focus on you," he said, tilting her chin back so he could kiss her.

Saint gave Joe a sad, unassuming little smirk of a smile " I'm fine on my own , in fact some say I'm better off that way.." in fact that was all the better, easier to speak to the boss if he was alone.

Lucy grinned up at him, returning the kiss. " Yes lets focus on just us, like we were planning to earlier.."

Joe nodded and stood. "Alright, this way." Then he led Saint to a tent of his own. It was near the treehouse but far enough away to not be close.

He rumbled and kissed her again. "Sounds good to me..." he whispered, his fingertips slipping under the hem of her shirt and brushing across her stomach.
