Ash sighed and leaned against the wall, trying his best to explain to Damon what had gone on between him and Eona before they came to be at the village.
Lucy smiled " He probably likes you in the same way and is just too shy to say it, since he's been hurt for so long "

You saw me and Lucy interact, right? Do you think you'd want to imitate what I did until you can figure out what works best for you? But don't do something you aren't comfortable with either. You've got to be happy in the relationship too. Did I ever tell you how Lucy and I met?" Damon asked, leaning against the wall with him. "Would you be interested in it? "I think so. We kissed this morning and...oh, Lucy...fireworks like you wouldn't believe! I just have to remember he's been hurt and I have to go slow with him," Eona said.

Damon nodded. "Most likely. But that doesn't make it right that we never got to meet. I'm not going to be mean and make fun of you. I don't want to. So if that's keeping you from going after love, don't let how the rest of the world thinks hold you back. If that was the case, I'd be dead or holed up on some dark cave and snarling at the world. Good people are out there. I think you found one."
"You should have seen it last night," Eona said, smiling at the memory. "He made me this little nest. It was the sweetest thing! And he's so worried that I'd hurt myself from this scratch. It's nice to have someone worry like that. I've always been alone that being treated like that is different."

He shook his head " well, that was a bit of it, but.. mostly I'm just worried that since father still has some control over me , he could make me snap and hurt her, or worse.."

"Well...I'm not sure he'd be able to. I think you really like her. You certainly care deeply for her. You didn't kill her when he demanded you kill her. And you didn't even know her then. I think she knows the risks and is okay with them. I think you could both benefit from talking about it. But I'm willing to bet you did and she stubbornly refused to see it?" Damon guessed.
"They certainly share characteristics, don't they?" Eona laughed, relaxing. She felt better now.

Eona smiled and moved so she was sitting next to Lucy. She hugged her then, enjoying the comfort of it. "Thank you. I really like talking with you. You're really nice."

Eona smiled. "Thank you. I try to be. I don't get to interact with people much..." she paused, thinking about that. "That sounded better in my head...now I'm just making myself sound insane."

Damon nodded, leaning back against the wall. "Things will never be the same. I like having a brother. Makes me feel less alone. I mean, Cole is my best friend and like a brother but he doesn't know what it's like."
Eona smiled, looking at Lucy. "Thanks. I think I'm going to be doing some learning from here on too."
