Counter reflected Skarmory's Air Slash at twice the power, dealing moderate damage. (The Air Slash itself had barely done a thing.)

(Wait, was Burmy's Hidden Power Fire-type? Also, how many Pokémon per trainer in this battle?)

After Feint Attack hit, Skarmory was at relatively low health.
"Skarmory, return! Burmy, it's your time to shine!!" Skarmory was switched for Burmy. "Burmy, I know Pawniard looks intimidating, but please, use Hidden Power!!" A swirl of light surrounded Burmy, who suddenly released a concentrated beam of fiery energy at Pawniard.
