(James gave away his Cacnea to Gardenia, and that episode made me sad. Does this mean that that didn't occur in this alternate universe? ^^ If so, YES!!)

(well actually remeber he didnt actually give it away he let her train it he could take it back any time he wanted also this is somewhat yes so some people we meet or fight will have pokemon they had given up)james: cacturn use needle arm!

(OH. Right. I didn't remember the episode very clearly, so that makes sense. ^^)

The balloon exploded. A large number of Drifloon also exploded, but were fainted rather than popped.
