@blizzard: The reasons for not wanting one hanging around is obvious.

Also sometimes multiple can appear right after the other. So you could potentially end up with a party of Celebi eggs. Egg storage is an option however the cost isn't reasonable for the Pokemon in question.

So in short, I support because Celebi is such an annoyance.

There's also the fact that people trying to get a certain pokemon from the Honey Tree might not necessarily want Celebi taking the spot.

As a resource to everyone in this thread, the scare link does work on the portal, it just doesn't have a clickable option.

Someone I know discovered this by accident by hitting the forward/back button and going to the scare link by accident

yesss, and since the shinyness is locked to the image of celeby, it will be less frustrating to find one just to be a normal one.

I agree, either this or one other thing needs to happen. Either be able to chase away Celebi (with a warning of "Do you really want to chase away Celebi? This cannot be undone") or be able to just yeet eggs into unexistence (for example, in Celebi's case as it's not tall grass huntable) or to toss them to the tall grass. Either way it works and gets rid of the egg that no one wanted and lets you not have to deal with your honey going bye-bye because you chased it away.

Just remember: You can't prove God didn't crawl out of the ocean.
