Scrounge rubbed her hands together furiously, shivering slightly.
Whoever thought having a competition in the middle of winter were
complete idiots. "At least they've got heaters in the building..."
she murmured, shoving her hands into her pockets. She'd heard the
schedulesong for the performances had finally been released, and
she was on her way to pick up her group's. "Why do they get to
sleep in.." she mumbled for the hundredth time.
Lance: //he stood outside the building looking rather frustrated.
He let out a heavy sigh pushing his warm breath from his lungs and
into the cold, crisp air. He adjusted his scarf to hi covered his
nose. He stared at the ground softly, his arms crossed and he
leaned back against the outer wall of the building, only to simply
get lost in thought.
Scrounge grumbled and mumbled, paying little attention to where she
was walking- she definitely knew the route though, she knew she'd
get there. She tried focusing on the dance routine she needed to
memorize by next week- she hummed the song that would play quietly.
She glanced up, completely forgetting what step she was on when she
noticed a familar figure, standing outside the competition
building. "Uh, hey-"
Lance: //he hesitated to look up at her, then pulled his hand out
of his pocket to wave and acknowledge her greeting. He returned his
hand to his pocket, and looked away before letting out onther
gentle sigh.
She frowned, and walked to stand beside him. "Well, it's better
than if you'd just ignored me, I guess-" she murmured, before
leaning against the wall. "So - why the long face? Get mugged on
the way here? Have your bike stolen?" She asked, trying not to show
her concern.
Lance: //he groaned before actually answering her./ Neil's really
been bothering me lately is all. And its way worse than usual.
//his voice was slightly muffled by his scarf, but his voice was
still audible enough to understand what he said
Meg and Steven arrived to the Lumiose City looking at the amazing
sights, "We are Lumiose City, this should be a good one", Meg said.
Then Steven asked, "But we got to find the building that holds the
music competition but where?". Meg and Steven looked high and low
then Meg spotted the building, "There it is Steven, let's go in",
so Steven and Meg grabbed their music stuff and began to run inside
to the building and as they arrived inside Steven then asked, "Is
this the building for musician?".
Scrounge raised her eyebrows. "Well? What's he doing?" She asked,
before bumping him with her shoulder. "I mean, you're used to
whatever he does- what's new?" She clarified, before nudging him
again. "And speak up- it's rude to mumble, you know."
Steven looked at the person, "Excuse me, I need to know who you
are?", then Meg spoke up, "Steven and I are here for a music
competition and I think I'm ready along with Steven".
The Ampharos gijinka grumbled under her breath as she hurried
towards the competition building, not wanting to be later than she
originally was. "Hope Scrounge won't get mad..." Nikki hissed
silently as someone elbowed her hard in the shoulder while trying
to get through the crowd.
Lance: //he grumbled before responding/ He's being way more
controlling then normal. He wanted me to help him with this stupid
band when its just us, when i want to do things on my own. I do my
own music and he does his own. I dont see why he has to make me do
things i dont want to do. I mean he forced me to get this thing!
//he pulled down his scarf, revealing the shiny septum ring that
hung from his prominent nose
Scrounge leaned forward, and whistled. "Whoa- nice." She murmured,
before clearing her throat. "Not the uh, whole 'over-controlling
Neil' part. That really sucks. Have you like, talked about it?" She
asked, still focused on the other's piercing. She really
liked how it looked on him.
Lance: The thing is that i dont want to ruin this for him. He seems
to be having fun. He doesnt really have the chance to express
himself musically. //he scratched his nose a little bit/ I mean i
was excited myself about this whole thing, but Neil kinda ruined
it. I mean i'll still perform, its just i lost a bit of my feel for
this whole thing.
Scrounge frowned. "There's really no point in doing anything if
your heart's not in it, ya' know?" She shook her head. "It's like,
if you don't wanna do it, why bother? I guess if you're doing it
for Neil, it'd explain why, but it's just totally unfair to
you. And to Neil too- he probably thinks you're having fun with
him.." she mumbled. She wasn't the best with getting her point
across verbally- but she doubted she could just show him what she
meant.
Steven grabbed his guitar and began to play it, "Maybe I'm a
dreamer, maybe I'm misunderstood", Meg looked at Steven and asked,
"Already practicing?". Steven stopped playing his guitar, "Yeah,
but shouldn't you be practicing too?", Meg looked at Steven, "I
wish I would".
Lance: Nono I am having fun with him, really. Its just i dont know
how to tell him that he's being a bit controlling. He doesnt want
to ruin anything for himself so hes trying to make everything
perfect. So I'm trying not to ruin this experience for him. Neil
doesnt get opportunities like this ever. And I wanna be there for
him because I know how he gets under pressure. I mean i live with
him. //he looked down at the ground and shuffled his feet a bit,
thinking of what to do
Scrounge sighed, leaning back against the wall. "Well, that's a
real mess you're in." She murmured, tapping her finger against the
wall as she thought. "Well, I still think you should talk about it.
Like just say 'hey Neil, chill out a bit' Or sonething, ya know?"
She hummed, glancing at him briefly. "Plus, if he's deciding
everything himself, and trying to make it all good and fun, he's
probably super stressed too. I know I got like that, a lot.." she
reached into her purse, glancing back at the other. "Hey, mind if I
smoke a bit?.." she asked quietly.
Meg then grabbed the microphone from the studio and sang, "If you
feel my beat, you can hear the rhythm of my heart, yet I only see
what most can see", then Steven stepped in with the guitar, "But I
can only imagine, what I can imagine, my vision will be open to
your heart", then Meg sang again, "Vision to your heart will lead
me home".
Scrounge grinned. "Sweet.." she mumbled, grabbing a cigarette and a
lighter. "Anyways, try to talk something out with Neil. That's
usually how most bands end up breaking up." She murmured, trying to
light her cigarette.
