(Karden's POV)

Laughing, I caught her in my arms, dipping her slightly. "My lady! Never fear! I am here. I will appreciate your passion for life." Looking down into her eyes, I found myself getting lost. What were we doing again? Something....a festival? I couldn't focus. She was looking at me.

(Aurora's POV)

The sun had almost set as I led them to my village. We had made it next to the base of a waterfall. The river continued on and gave us fresh water and other necessary uses. Personally, I liked the cave hidden behind it. It was perfect to practice singing in. The sun glistened off of the water as we neared and my people, my tribe, were all smiling to greet us. Grinning, I danced over to my mother and father, kissing their cheeks and then hugging my younger siblings. I was the oldest and while it could be hard, I enjoyed it. Turning, I introduced my new friends. My father, a Gallade moved forward to greet them. He bowed low, but still retaining his honor as chief.
"Welcome," he said, "We're honored to have you stay here and be apart of our festival. I hope you all enjoy your stay here."

(Emily's POV)

I stared into his large eyes. They were so pretty, captivating me. I felt something in my chest that I had never felt before. I wasn't sure what it was, but I liked it. I put my arms around his neck, pulling myself into a standing position. They remained there for a few moments. We were so close together, our face no more than a hands breadth away. I was confused. What was I feeling? I wasn't sure. And I didn't really care. I felt a tug on my pant leg. Looking down I saw that it was Vanisster. His face was not the most pleasant of expressions. He pointed in the direction the Gardevoir had gone, signaling that we had arrived. Reluctantly, I pulled away. Vanisster immediately reached out and grabbed my hand, giving it a gentle squeeze.

(Dreamscape's POV)

At the chiefs words I floated forward. "The honor is ours noble lord. We thank you for your generous invitation" I noticed the obvious surprise on several of the Pokemon's faces. Oops. I had forgot how important my species is to them. I also noticed that the glow from Vanisster and Aurora's horns had subsided to a dull gleam, as if they had been polished. I decided it would be pertinent to break the ice a bit. "If it is acceptable to you, I would like to give you a gift." Concentrating, I imagined the item from Emily's bag in my hands. It appeared with a small pop. A long strip of black cloth hung from my small hands. I moved forward, holding it out to him. "This item, when worn, will boost the power of your fighting type moves immensely."

(Kaden's POV)

I should have leaned in! I should have kissed her! But then her Kirlia pulled her away. I would have to see if I could win him over. But how? Something that would truly show him that I cared for Emily and wanted to take care of her. Hmmmm.....

(Aurora's POV)

Oh! Dream had done perfect! A gift and all! My father was impressed for sure. He smiled broadly and embraced the smaller girl. "Thank you. You are wise and very generous. May I ask if it was you who gave us the family tie we all enjoy?" he asked. I looked around and noticed that my new group of friends was not the only group arriving on the scene tonight. A tribe of warriors was coming down another path.

(Dreamscape's POV)

I shook my head slightly, still speaking in a respectful tone. "Not I my lord, but my grandmother." I couldn't help but giggle. "My kind lives for generations, but not quite that long." I composed myself, gesturing to the approaching tribe. "Are these the other tribe that will be joining us? Your daughter spoke very well of them to us." After bowing again, a floated backwards to rest on Sky's head. Hopefully I had done well. My parents had taught me the art of diplomacy, as many legendaries can be a bit touchy.

(Emily's POV)

I was a bit peeved that Sky had dragged me away from that moment in the woods, but I soon got over it. I was to excited to be mad! A large group was headed towards us, moving at a slow, metered step. Dream had been talking to the chief, but now sat in her usual spot. Skylark had apparently forgot about holding my hand, and was lost in thought. I could feel Kaden beside me, his body giving of a lovely warmth. Reaching out, I took his hand, needing someone to share this moment with.

(Aurora's POV)

It was Roland's tribe. So, he was finally here. I was nervous and afraid, happy and excited, all at once! Taking a deep breath, I waited for them to come close enough. Then my father and their chief, my future father-in-law, talked. Roland was brought forward and I had to admit, he was very attractive. I stepped forward when my father introduced me and curtsied to them. Roland bowed back. "We have been graced by not only my daughters new friends, a noble and magnificent Jirachi among them, but with Roland and his family. We will feast tonight! Roland and Aurora, it will be in your honor!" my father called. I smiled and curtsied again.

(Jasper's POV)

What? What did that even mean? "Hey Dream, Vanisster...you two know what's going on?" I asked, unknowingly drawing Van's attention away from his trainer.

(Kaden's POV)

Emily grabbed my hand! Oh my gods! What did I do?! Jus stay cool, hold her hand back. Thinking to be all slick and sly, I brought her hand up to my lips and kissed it. There! Not exactly the kiss that could have been, but for me, it was better then not at all! I glanced over at her, trying to gauge her reaction. Was it okay? Not okay? I had to know!

(Vanisster's POV)

Oh sh*t. I hadn't know about this. Poor Japser! I spoke to his mind. "Oh man. You are not going to like this. Don't do anything rash ok? And try not to change your expression when you hear this. That Gallade is to be her husband. Her parents probably promised her to him as a way to get on the Chiefs good graces." I frowned. I had never liked the idea of an arranged marriage, but there really wasn't anything we could do.

(Dreamscape's POV)

So that's her would be husband? I had to admit, he was a fine piece of man. Not as nice as Sky would be, but nice nonetheless. This would be tough competition for Jasper. I began to think of way to prevent the marriage. There was one obvious way, but it would not help Jasper in the least. The marriage was tonight so I would have to come up with something quick.

(Emily's POV)

His kiss sent shivers down my spine. I had never been kissed by anyone other than my parents before, so I wasn't sure how to react. I giggled nervously, my face turning red. "You sure know how to make special, don't you?"

(Jasper's POV)

"Oh...oh..." I murmured, then, hoping he could still read my mind I added, "Please, can you help me? She...she shouldn't have to! Look at him! He doesn't even know her. He had to be introduced to her. Can you and Dream help give me a shot?"

(Aurora's POV)

I looked over at my friends and found them all thinking hard. I couldn't help but blush. I had thought the wedding wasn't for a while. Well, I guess I knew why everyone was so excited. I asked my mother if it was alright for Dream to be apart of it if she agreed. My mother nodded and told me to go ask her. I kissed her cheek then glided over to Dream, Van, and Jasper.

(Kaden's POV)

She liked it! At least, I think she did. She didn't get mad. So I turned to face Emily, smiling and keeping her hand in mine. "Emily, you are special. You know that, right? You're special in the best way. Unlike anyone I've meet. I like that a lot."

(Dreamscape's POV)

I felt the question before I heard it. "Of course I'll be in your wedding! How exciting." I clapped my hands. Hopefully it would be easier to take down this thing from the inside. "Though I must say, I'm not exactly a fan of the method of your betrothal. Planned marriages aren't exactly my cup of tea, but to each their own." I twirled in the air, before giving her a wink. "Though you could do much better than Roland" I made sure to lower my voice at that. Wouldn't want to ruin my diplomatic efforts.

(Vanisster's POV)

"Of course we can! We'll do whatever we can to get her out of this stupid facade." I patted his side. Aurora had walked back over to us. Dream said something I couldn't make out, and twirled. I turned to let Emily know we were all set, only to see her HOLDING KADEN'S HAND AND STARING DREAMILY INTO HIS EYES. This was just about the least ok thing I had ever experienced, even worse than fighting Groudon in his volcano. I gave Emily a mental jab, hoping to wake her up

(Emily's POV)

It was perfect; everything I had ever imagined it would be. I wasn't sure I would ever find it in real life, but it had apparently found me. I had completely fallen in love. This boy had somehow stolen my heart like no one else had. I had had many boys, and a few girls, try to get me over the years, but this was different. I didn't even know what it was. Sure he was good looking, but I had seen handsome guys before. Whatever it was, it had captivated me. I was about to say something, when I felt a dull thud against my mind. I turned to see Sky, looking more mad than I had ever seen him. He may not have given any outward signs, besides a cold glare, but he was pissed. Last time he was this mad was wHen I made him fight Groudon. He hates heat. I returned the glare. Why couldn't he just be happy that I had found someone I really liked? He turned back to the group of Pokemon I walked with him, pulling Kaden along. He passed the Gardevoir, I really got to learn her name, and up to the chief. He bowed low, speaking in poketalk, while giving me a mental translation. "My lord, if it pleases you, I would ask a question. The Gallade nodded his head. "I wish to take part in the Light of Dawn, but I am shelter-born and do not know the proper ceremony. Is there someone her who could help me?" The chief nodded again. "You wish to become a warrior? Very noble child. The process requires a daughter of noble blood. My daughter shall fill that roll." I noticed a tall Gallade in the second group cock his head slightly. His eyes narrowed, but he said nothing. The chief continued, "The ritual will take place tomorrow before the marital ceremony." He then turned to his people. "We have yet another reason for jubilation. Tomorrow, this child becomes a warrior of dawn!" The Gallades made a cheering cry, while a few of the Gardevoir made a pretty singing noise.

(Aurora's POV)

I was thrilled that I was going to help Vanisster evolve! My mother had always performed the ceremony so I wasn't sure what I was to do but I was excited. Though, I wasn't sure what Dream meant. Do better then Roland? He had been picked by my family. He was to be chief. Besides, I had never been in love before. Though when I looked over at Jasper my heart did this weird flopping thing. But now the feast was to start. Everyone began to take their seats at tables that had been set out. I was seated next to Roland and I was nervous about being so close to the guy I would marry in a few short hours.

(Kaden's POV)

"What's happening?" I asked Emily, thrilled to have her hand in mine. I really needed to talk to Sky though. Perhaps I could do that tonight. If I could stop losing myself in her eyes long enough to do so. For now, we followed our Pokémon to some tables to sit. I wanted to lean in and kiss her so much. But I would wait until we had a more private setting.

(Emily's POV)

"It's time to eat." I said, my stomach growling softly. It looked like the feast was about to start, but I wasn't sure where to sit. I stood confused for a moment, before Dream gently nudged me towards a small table where Sky was already seated. The chief and his family were sitting at their own raised table, as a few Kirlia carried trays of food to the tables. I sat next to Dream, and was about to motion for Kaden to sit, when Sky moved quickly into the chair on my other side. I frowned at him, but was then distracted by the plates of food. The trays held mostly brightly colored fruits and vegetables, with some grilled fish scattered throughout. I should have expected the lack of meat, but I was still a bit disappointed. Pitchers of water were next, with two going to each table. The Kirlia moved one of the tables aside to give Jasper room, even bringing a large platter for him to eat off of.

(Vannister's POV)

I sat next to Emily, glad that I had gotten to the seat first. I would have been even happier if there hadn't been any more chairs, but no such luck. As the food arrived, I couldn't help but wonder what the ceremony would involve. Where would they get the Dawn Stone? Did they have some on hand? What would be Aurora's role in it? How long and complicated would it be? Unconsciously, I use Psychic to ready a plate of food for Emiy and Dream. I looked over at Aurora. She seemed very nervous. Probably because of the Gallade next to her. I would be nervous in her situation. An idea suddenly came to me. What if Kaden caught her? She said she wanted a trainer. If Kaden caught her, then he could just leave and she would free from her binding. I spoke to Japser's mind, explaining the idea. "If Kaden were to catch her, then you would have as much time as you needed with her. As long as we can convince her before tomorrow, then it should work perfectly!"

(Kaden's POV)

Oh! That guy was slick. Shaking my head, I sat across from Emily. At least we could still talk. I wanted to kiss her, to tell her so much. But right now, I couldn't. Not in our present condition. Perhaps tomorrow at the festival? Who knew?

(Aurora's POV)

Smiling up at Roland, I tried to have a conversation with him. I tried to get him to talk about himself, his home, anything! But he gave shorter answers and looked around. Perhaps he was nervous too? I sighed and sat back, thinking. Looking over, I caught my new friends looking up at me. I smiled and waved over at them. This reminded me of the helping Vannister tomorrow. I still wasn't quite sure what it entitled. I'd have to ask my father.

(Jasper's POV)

"Catch her? It sounds like it would work. but...do you think she'd want to? She seems to be honor bound. I don't want to make her not like me for helping to rip her from her family. We'll have to talk to her," I told Vannister. He was so cool and he was so helpful. I hoped his plan worked.

(Time is now 7:30 pm, just after the feast. 12 hours until the wedding.)

(Dreamscape's POV)

A pair of Gardevoir had shown us to a small hut, where we would be spending the night. I sat lazily on Sky's head, to full to put effort into flying. The two each have a short bow, before hurrying off. I gazed around the small building. Nothing special, but it had everything you might need. Several sleeping mats, a low counter, a table. The floor was made of something akin to a tatami mat, and look fairly comfortable. All in all, not a bad place. I floated up, lookiing back at the humans. I smirked, winking at Kaden. "At least we won't have trouble keeping an eye on you two, with only one room!" Sky's face twisted as if he had swallowed a lemon. "Jasper better have a separate place to sleep though, cause I'd rather not try to share a bunk with a 10 ton metal snake." I peeked out at the snake in question. "No offense."

(Emily's POV)

I blushed slightly at Dreams words. She just couldn't help teasing me huh? I ignored her statement, opting to explore the hut more thoroughly. "This is pretty cool, huh Kaden? Much better than sleeping on rock outside." I glanced up at the thatched roof. "Though a view of the stars would be kind of nice." A yawn escaped me, revealing how tired I was. "I think Sky and I should get some sleep. I wouldn't miss that Dawn ceremony for the world!"

(Aurora's POV)

Nervously, I fiddled with my latest weaving. It was suppose to be a gift for my betrothed. I had thought I had more time. Maybe if I hurried, I could get it done. There was no way I was going to be sleeping tonight. Looking up, I saw the flowers my mother had gathered to decorate me with for tomorrow. They were beautiful. I could only hope that Roland wasn't as brisk tomorrow. I would be leaving with him once the festivals were over.

(Jasper's POV)

"Hey! I'm not that big. And you wouldn't notice me at all!" I said, indignantly. Feeling the need to prove myself, I moved to the floor mate set out and curled up. And looked completely ridiculous. "Okay, okay, so I am kind of a big Pokémon. But maybe I can sleep in my PokeBall. I won't take up much room there. I can go there if you want me to," I told her, being sincere. If it made things easier for the night, it was cool.

(Kaden's POV)

Smiling, I took her hand in mine and planted a kiss to her knuckles. "I agree! If Sky wants me there, of course. It's his morning and I don't want to ruin it for him. I think I'll ask him," I told her, then moved over to where the three Pokémon sat. Sitting down, I cleared my throat. "Sky? I would be honored if I could come to your Dawn ceremony tomorrow. But I don't want to make you mad. If you do not want me there, then could you shake your head no. If it's okay for me to come, can you nod your head yes?"

(Vannister's POV)

I stared at the boy, unsure what to do. Emily would want him to be there, and she would not be happy if I said no, but I didn't like him! Why should he get to watch the most important moment of my life? A thought came to me. He should come watch. Perhaps, if he saw my transformation, he might respect my wishes a bit more... I looked up into his eyes before nodding my head sharply. I walked over to Emily, pulled my pokeball out of her bag, and entered it. Floating in the calm darkness soothed my nerves, and soon I was dreaming peacefully.

(Dreamscape's POV)

"Only if you are ok with it." I said with a smile. "I don't want you to feel like I'm forcing you into it." I floated up to him and gave him a friendly pat. "I'm just trying to find something so that we will all be comfortable." I floated to a shelf on the wall, landing gently on it. "I think we should all get some sleep though. It's a big day tomorrow." Emily nodded. "I'm going to sleep now." She lay down on one of the matts.

(Kaden's POV)

Smiling, I stood and walked over to Emily and laid down on a matt near her. "I think I might have made progress with him! I am so excited to see his ceremony," I told her. Settling in, I smiled at her again and said, "Good night and sweet dreams, Emily." Jasper came over and touched his pokeball. "Sleep tight, buddy," I told him.

(Aurora's POV)

I had finished the weaving a little after midnight. And with hours to go before Dawn, I stood and headed outside to walk around. Perhaps the stars and moon could help me figure everything out. Gliding forward, I went to the small pool of water to listen to the water flow. It was so relaxing out here. Suddenly, there was giggling from nearby and I felt like something was coming. One of the older girls of my villiage, another Gardevoir like myself came running out of the woods a little ways over. I was hidden by the plants and could see but not be seen. She was looking at someone. He ran after her and into the moonlight, scooping her into his arms. Roland. I let out a soft squeak and covered my mouth. "Did you hear something?" the girl asked. "Just my pounding heart," he smirked at her. Then he kissed her and I crawled far enough away to stand up and run. I ran past my family's tent and into the forest.

(Emily's POV)

I lay in the dark, staring at the ceiling. Sleep seemed to be avoiding me like the plague. I couldn't take it anymore. Standing silently I moved towards the doorway, stopping just short. Turning back, I stepped over to Kaden's mat. I heard a giggle from Dreamscape. I shot her a look, to which she replied with a shushing motion, and a crossing of her heart. I turned back to Kaden, giving him a gentle shake. "Come look at the stars with me Kaden." I said, before moving out the door. I walked a few yards up a grassy hill, before lying down to wait. I wasn't sure whether I wanted him to come or not, but the decision was out of her hands now.

(Kaden's POV)

I'd woken at to Emily shaking me and asking me to go look at the stars. Still half out of it, I stood and followed her, wanting to know what was up. Seeing her on a hill, I walked over to her and laid down next to her, facing the stars. "Can't sleep?"

(Aurora's POV)

He...he'd just... I couldn't believe it! My betrothed...the man I was going to marry in less then twelve hours! was out seducing the girls I'd grown up with? I couldn't possibly follow through! But...It was for the good of my tribe. I had to do it. And I would. Just...just not yet. I needed to try to compose myself. A few minutes later, I calmly walked back to my family tent and laid down on my bedroll. Mercifully, sleep found me and I managed to get a few hours in.

(Emily's POV)

I lay there looking up at the stars. So bright. So huge. So immensely far from me. I didn't answer his question at first. I didn't know what to say. Finally I answered. "I don't know. I'm just a bit nervous about Sky. He's wanted this for his whole life, but now that it's happening, I don't know what to think. How is he going to change? He's always been my little Skylark, and now he might not be." I sighed. "Maybe I'm just worrying to much." A light streaked across the sky. Falling stars. How coincidental. I turned my head to look at Kaden. "Make a wish."

(What?! Neverlight posted?! Inconceivable!!)

(Kaden's POV)

Smiling, I did as she asked, wishing to kiss her once more and make her happy. I also wished that maybe, just maybe, Skylark would be okay with me one day. Turning back to look at her, I smiled. "I think he will do wonderful and still remain your Skylark. Just more grown up and knightly, if that is possible." Settled down better in the grass, I looked back up at the sky. "This is going to be interesting."


(I love that movie! If you start saying "As you wish" I swear I will swoon! Also, I have no idea's on how to do the Dawn Ceremony. Any idea's?)

(I need to stop procrastinating... And don't worry about the Dawn ceremony. I already have that planned out.)

(Emily's POV)

I frowned at the boy as he looked up at the stars. "Seriously? You had the perfect opportunity and you let it slip by! Boys can be so clueless sometimes..." I sighed. "Do I have to do everything myself?" Leaning over the boy, I pressed my lips firmly to his. I stayed like that for who knows how long. Finally I lifted myself up slightly, staring into his eyes for a moment. I smirked at him before speaking. "Yes. Very interesting."

(Dreamscape's POV)

Sitting on the roof of the hut gave me a great view of the two on the hill. This was turning out to be quite the show! I could feel Emily's pleasure as if it were my own. Hopefully she didn't get to intense and scare him off. I noticed movement in the distance, near the tree line. Curious, I fluttered quickly towards it, being careful not to disturb Emily and Kaden. As I got closer I could tell it was to people, a Gardevoir and a Gallade. Then I heard their voices and knew who it was. Roland, Aurora's betrothed, but with a different Gardevoir. "THE LITTLE MAN !" I was furious, even though it didn't effect me all that much. [/I]"I thought Gallade's were supposed to be noble! Hmm..., but this could be the info that gets Aurora out of the marriage..."[/I] Using my psychic powers, I made a mental scan of the scene. Now I would have proof! Silently, I flew back to the hut. Once inside, I snuggled up to Vanni. A few moments later and I was sound asleep.
