"It's just wet, and cold, and all around... sucks," he muttered,
not really having heard Zorxa.
As the day dragged on, the downfall only increased. By noon, Razar
stumbled and leaned against a tree, panting heavily as if he had
been running instead of walking the whole time.
"I'm thinking... the mountain is our... best bet," he panted, then
plopped down and looked up at the gray sky.
"And I hate the rain..."
Zorxa sighed, wondering if they'd even make it to the mountain, or
further. He plopped down, and looked at the sky before getting up,
and carrying Ray with him the best he could
"I understand that, but you don't have to carry me! Just let me
catch my breath, then I'll be fine. Plus, couldn't you use a break
as well, or is it just me?"
Zorxa started running as the rain came pouring down. He went into a
tiny cave, and set Ray down "We're good for now... Let's hope the
rain clears up soon"
Ray shook out his fur, trying to get dry, but it didn't work that
well. He then brought his tail around and breathed a weak flame,
heating up the metal, then snuggled close to it turning the water
into steam from his fur.
"Horrible rain," he muttered, almost childishly as he glared out of
the mouth of the cave.
Ray turned his head to watch the Zoroark go to a corner and
sleep.
"Rest well," he said as he looked back out of the cave at the
rain.
After about an hour of staying in shelter, the rain started to let
up, so the Arcanine fusion decided to head out and check the area,
since he wanted to make sure they took a safe route out of the cave
towards the mountain, if they started moving forward again. He
rolled his shoulders, feeling stiff from the drenching he got
earlier.
"I hate rain," he growled as he walked out in the slush that used
to be firm ground.
Razar was just easing his way back into the cave when Zorxa
awoke.
"Hm? Yeah, I'm fine. There's a lot of loose ground, so we'll need
to be careful moving forward. Do you want something to eat first,
or are you ready to go?"
