Crysia blinked and shook her head in surprise, leaning her cheek into her fist and keeping her eyes locked on the young child that had suddenly appeared before her. "You've got a son?" She asked, raising her eyebrow and looking at Jackson. Crysia was still a bit void of emotion from the bind. After learning that he was Monty's son, there wasn't much that could surprise her anyways.

Jackson tensed up a little, having forgotten Crysia had been sitting there, and looked at her blinking.
''a-adopted son, actually... his real family, humans, had the unfortunate fate of being slaughtered by a rogue vampire.... Percy here being one of the victims... go ahead and show miss Crysia your scar'' he said, saying the last bit to the young vampire as he looked down and nudged him towards her.
Percy nodded and walked over to where Crysia was sitting and tilted his head, moving his cloaks hood a bit so an old scarred vampire's bite was revealed.

Crysia just nodded, greeting Percy softly. "You're too kind to be the Queen's son," she said aloud, Celestial silently judging her for not keeping her thoughts to herself.

''that's something you can at least thank my father for, since he was a bit kinder than my mother was'' Jackson laughed, closing the door to the basement.
Percy smiled brightly and then looked over at Jackson, running back over as his Malachite colored eyes gleaming as he held his phone up to him.
''there was a man singing at the castle papa, he seems sad'' he said as Jackson took the phone and pulled up the video Percy recorded, turning the volume up and listened before his eyes widened.
Jackson looked at Crysia then back at the video before he paused and rewound the video, the handed the cellphone to her.
''you may want to watch this....'' he muttered.

Crysia smiled softly, morose lightly imprinted on her saccharine lips. She had instantly recognized it as Lucifer when the volume was turned up. "It's quite alright," she replied, lightly clicking the pause button that she had seen Jackson click before. "It's... good to know where he went, though."

''i did tell you he gave up fighting his binding.... that's why he left your little group...'' he sighed, picking Percy up and took Percy's phone back once Crysia finished and returned it to the young boy who happily took it back.
Jackson soon picked the cellphone he sat down and sat beside her, setting Percy down as he started showing Crysia how it worked.
Percy looked at Celestial and held his hand out towards the raven.

Celestial, happy to entertain the child, lightly rubbed her cheek against Percy's hand. Her dark eyes opened, glittering with starlight. When she parted her beak constellations were projected on her feathers, barely luminescent.

Rain's eyes fluttered open to the sunset, incredibly annoyed by the vibrant reds that had been plastered across the sky and the scintillating sun barely peeking through. He could hardly see it through the forests, but any light was annoying to him, especially when he'd just woken up. He shifted ever so slightly and buried his face back into Scarlet's hair to get away from the light. There was the sound of a sword unsheathing nearby. Rain ignored it until his tired brain processed it, and he lifted his head ever so slightly. Reign's head whipped around the perimeter, his stance widened and his sword ready to attack.

Percy beamed as he petted Celestial's head happily, watching her feathers come to life with glittering constellations and just smiled even more and giggled cheerfully.
''pretty raven'' he said, picking her up as he hugged the raven lightly so he didn't crush poor Celestial.
Jackson looked down at his son and chuckled as he watched him hug Crysia's raven.
''you may have lost your raven Crysia'' he joked, laughing quietly.

Scarlet slept soundly nestled up against Rain, but slowly started to wake up and opened her eyes, looking around drowsily before looking over at Reign.
''whats going on.....?'' she asked sleepily, still not fully awake.
she looked up at Rain where her head laid against his shoulder and sat up a little, kissing him under the chin before snuggling up against him again.

She smiled, warmed by the wholesome interaction. She figured she needed more of it in her life anyways. "Celeste has always been fond of children. Maybe it has something to do with her having to take care of me all the time," Crysia replied. Celestial lightly nipped Percy's chin, a small sign of affection.

"Wait, no." His mumbled were still drunken from sleep, "I think it's actually important." Rain lightly tapped her shoulder and pulled away, standing up and looking at his brother with concern. Crimson sat crisscrossed on a nearby tree branch, his cheeks cupped in his hands as he intently watched Reign.
"What's--" Rain began, but his brother shot him a glare and put up a pointer finger to his lips. He quickly returned his hands back to the blade, glaring and scanning the premise. Something's... hidden? Rain thought, still incredibly tired.

Percy laughed and gently rubbed the top of Celestial's beak.
''heh.... then i'm guessing if you ever did adopt or started a family Celeste would be in heaven'' Jackson chuckled softly, looking back up at her with a genuine smile on his face.

Scarlet pouted a little but reluctantly sat up and rubbed one of her eyes, looking over at Reign drowsily.

Reign glared around before nodding to a specific tree, which Rain squinted at. He slowly stood up and skimmed through the leaves for danger before realizing that a pulsing lump of shadows was crawling up the bark, a feat that he only noticed once he had stared at the trunk for several seconds. Otherwise, his gaze would have passed over it as a normal tree.

''you never know Crysia, your motherly instincts would probably kick in if you ever did, i honestly think you'd be a wonderful mother'' he said truthfully, cause he truly meant what he said.
Jackson then looked off to the side as an annoyed look on his face.
''though my mother almost seemed entirely void of her motherly instincts once i was somewhat old enough to fend for myself and sent me to my father... she never did pay much attention to me and had the servants care for me....'' he grumbled quietly.

Crysia grimaced when he talked about her maternal instincts, biting her bottom lip softly to refrain from insulting him. Instead, she listened intently to what Jackson said about his mother with her cheek cupped in her hand.
"I've seen the way she talks about you, Jackson," she responded, her voice softening and her words careful, "everyone in the palace damn well knows that you're the only thing she truly cares about. I do believe that's why she never carefully mothered you--because she didn't know how, but she feared ruining you. Monty is a kind soul and, diplomatically, I'm sure it was safer to have her only soft spot stowed away."

Rain lightly tapped Scarlet's shoulder and pointed, weakly, in the direction of the tree. By now the darkness had completely overtaken it, dripping from what used to be its leaves. A small rumbling noise emitted from it and Reign glanced back at his brother before taking small steps towards it with his weapon raised. The mass began to redirect and slowly spread towards Reign as if it had suddenly acknowledged him, to which Rain nervously lurched forward to put a hand on his brother's shoulder to stop him from walking even closer.

Jackson leaned back a little while letting Pecry, who still had a hold of Celestial, get up and go sit on the beanbag chair, before perking up at what Crysia said about how his mother talked about him.
he rolled his eye's and looked off to the side, already assuming it was bad things, but looked at her with a bit of a surprised expression when she spoke next, kinda stunned as he stared at her for a few minutes before he looked away and his shoulder's slumped.
''maybe.... maybe i should try and bond with her more then...'' he mumbled.

he jumped slightly when he felt a soft humming against his chest and pulled on the small chain necklace that the cross he wore hung from and noticed it was shimmering a bit, brows furrowing a little and sighing.
''i'm gonna have to cut out chitchat short for a little bit Crysia, i got a bit of some work to do.... keep and eye on Percy please...? i'd really appreciate it'' Jackson said, then got up.
he scooped up a a leather backpack up and went over to where his cloak hung, tossing it on before he swiftly went to the door and left into the quickly fading rays of light from the sunset.

Scarlet looked at the tree once she got up and blinked, just seeming to shrink slightly with the way it moved freaking her out.
there was a small flash of light off to the side of where the group was and soon a cloaked figure, face hidden with shadow cast from the hood, walked over and stopped in front of the twins, back turned to them as they looked at the tree.
''stand back....'' the stranger muttered, rummaging through the backpack they had without taking they're eye's of the tree, pulling out what looked like a mason jar filled with a clear sparkling liquid, holy water.

(i read back a bit and just realized Jackson's hair is still white, he didn't change it back, lmao....)

"I--uh. Okay," Crysia stammered, not having enough time to object. She looked over at Percy and awkwardly waved, not knowing how to feel now that she was stuck with the child. She had been planning to go back to everyone else, anyways, to avoid suspicion. Celestial seemed happy to stay, ruffling her feathers and glimmering with constellations to entertain the child.

The twins' eyes went wide at the sight of the water--they knew exactly what it was, and in that moment the stranger became much more of a threat to them than the tree had been. The flash of light, even more so. The shadows of the tree writhed before constricting itself into nonexistence and Reign immediately leaped forward to pin the stranger against it, holding the tip of his blade at their throat.
Reign, you idiot, Rain thought, leaping forth to remove the backpack and making a move to take off the hood. His hand was stopped by Crimson, who shocked him in such a way that he froze.
"I cannot see his face," Crimson hissed, knowing that doing so would alert the Queen.

Percy laughed happily and hugged Celestial, watching her feather's contently now.

Scarlet simply hid up in another tree with her cat and raven.
the cloaked figured grunted from the impact of being pinned to the tree and coughed, the wind being knocked out of him.
the impact of being pinned was enough for the jar to fall out of his hand and to the ground without shattering and tried to keep a hold of the backpack, though it was taken from him anyway since he didn't react fast enough, and it was just enough to cause the hood to move to reveal white hair, but there was just enough of a shadow to hide his face.
''get the f--k off of me you ignorant idiot...! i was trying to help with whatever was inside the tree!'' he hissed, obviously agitated now at the twin's interference, but stayed still since he didn't want his throat sliced open.

Reign silently raised an eyebrow as he noticed the silver chain that barely poked out around the stranger's neck. He reached out a hand to fish it out, unwisely, and flinched back and hissed in pain when his skin made contact with it. The light tug was still enough to reveal the cross pendant, which now sat on top of the stranger's clothes. Reign's suspicions had been confirmed and he was now regretful that he had dropped his confidently outstretched arm when he felt the slightest bit of pain (which would later leave a faint burn mark on his hand, but he wasn't concerned with checking).
"Get out of here, priest. We don't want to fight you," Rain said, surprisingly boldly. He flanked Scarlet closely, his hands raised in case of attack.

once the cross was pulled free from hiding and he felt the weight keeping him pinned lifted, he pulled his hood back up and was swift and he yanked his backpack out of Rain's hands and leaped back away from everyone.
he picked the jar up and tucked it away into the backpack, then looked at them with a half shadowed face with the help of the hood.
he growled and bared hia fangs, his eye's gaining a faint red hue of annoyance.

''your so lucky i can't knock you around.... i really don't want to loose your cousin's trust, especially since since she is keeping an eye on my son'' he said, calming down a little bit now as the glow disappeared, though he kept his fangs bared slightly.
Scarlet soon perked up and her eye's widened, looking around now that she realized Crysia wasn't with them.
she left her companion's up in the tree as she hopped down and whispered to Rain.

Rain gritted his teeth and protectively stood next to Scarlet, skimming his perimeters and silently chastising himself for not realizing she was gone. He stared at the stranger with bubbling hatred--the idea of losing Crysia again made him livid--and it was only then that he realized that fangs were bared at him. A vampire with holy water? Rain's anger was now immediately overshadowed with confusion, perplexed to the point that he was frozen as he tried to think of a normal, realistic answer for this.
Reign was too provoked to care. "The hell did you do to her?" He snapped, his knuckles turning white on his sword handle.

the cloaked figure sighed and looked at Crimson, pointing his hand at him as a blindfold and noise-cancelling headphones kept him from seeing and hearing him.
he soon looked back at the other three and pulled his hood down, looking at them while running a hand through his white hair.

''shut up already, your anger annoy's me.... but she's fine alright? Crysia is back at my place and i asked her to keep an eye on my son...'' he muttered.
Scarlet's eye's widened and she scooted back behind Rain a bit to hide.
Jackson looked at her and sighed, looking back at the twins as he crossed his arm's.
''look, i'm... sorry for anything that i've done to you guys in the past, and also you, with the sword, you actually have ran into me before... just throwing that out there, since you and Crysia had both broken into my house the other night, i simply erased that memory'' he said.
