Faith's eyes narrowed. Her eye twitched ever so slightly. Her whole body tensed up. Would she give the ultimate sacrifice protecting the tree? Yes, she would. She knew she was going to survive the blast. Most likely, anyway. But the little Order person wasn't brave enough. No, he still had more out of life. "Push it. I dare you."

Dutch did it. He pushed the button. But just before he could, Locke had used an EMP jammer which temporarily disabled the nuke. Dutch pressed the button again, surprised. "Forget it, kid." Locke said, getting up. "I've disabled it. You do know that it wouldn't kill the dragon, right?" Dutch looked at him. "Sir..." he said the single word.

"Smart." Faith admitted as she twisted her tail around Dutch, as the tip of her tail took the small nuke from his hands and crushed it. It was officially utterly destroyed. She got off Dutch, though her long tail was still holding his two legs. "But you have more, don't you? Stupid useless humans and their ****ing technology." She muttered.

"Many more. The only reason I didn't let Dutch set off the nuke was because you wouldn't have died and stopped the next group as well. We may be the only ORIONs, but we aren't the only good soldiers. So, as soon as my radio comes back online, I can call for an entire twelve man strike team to come, each with a nuke." Locke said. Dutch got up, finding it hard to balance due to Faith's tail, and looked at the crushed remnants of the nuke. He marked the mission as a failure on his HUD. Locke did the same. "That Chaos base is going down, one way or another."

Faith groaned. She knew exactly where this was going. "Fine! I'll help you get rid the ****ing base! Just don't blow the tree up!" She said, frustrated. Her eyes weren't glowing as much though, and she was no longer inclined to kill the two. She began to drag Dutch across the ground, intent on getting to the stupid base as soon as possible.

"Thanks." Locke said, his voice drenched in sarcastic sweetness. Dutch swore viciously as Faith started dragging him. "Would you mind letting the kid go?" asked Locke. He jogged to keep up with them. His radio and other electrical technology eventually came back online.

Faith, of course, answered back with more grumbling and a lot of cursing. But she did, of course, let Dutch go from her tail's grip. Then, she cussed some more.

Dutch got up and started walking. Locke noticed a transmission going out from the Chaos base. He hacked into it and played it out loud. "The message just repeats itself." he told Dutch, ignoring Faith. "'Regret, regret, regret'. Catchy. Any ideas?" he asked. "Dear Humanity," Dutch said, "We regret being Chaos b******s. We regret ever going up against Order. And we most definitely regret that we got two ORIONs and a dragon about to blow up our raggedy a** fleet!"
They both chorused 'Hoo-rah!' Locke got serious again.
"Negative. It's the base commander, code-name Regret. I think he's bugging out and requesting assistance."

"Assistance for what? They better not be cutting down the tree, I swear if I find a scratch on it that they made..." Faith swore, as she began to curse in a rough and choppy language, one which she was certain only few would know. Her ears perked up as she heard the sound of Chaos minions in the distance, as she became very quiet.

"Oh, you'll find a lot more than just scratches if there are Chaos people there." Locke said and quietened down as well. He made another gesture. Dutch and Locke went to opposite tree-lines and started creeping forwards.

Faith growled as she heard and smelled something to her left. Her purple eyes narrowed ever so slightly, but she gave no other warning that she had heard anything. But then another rustle came, and she swiftly lunged, and her claws had pinned a little stayr to the grass. But he was old enough to join the army. In fact, he had seen to many winters. Faith's eyes began to glow once more. Her tail curled around the stayr, reaching its throat. "Speak. What have you done."

"What you got there?" asked Dutch, approaching the satyr. Locke remained on point. "Dutch..." he said. "Don't worry, Jamey. The dragon's got it."
"Please don't call me Jamey." Locke said, a hint of annoyance in his voice at his overused nickname, "My name is Jameson. Either say that or say Locke."

Faith's tail twitched, as she drew a very, very thin scratch across the stayr's neck. She grinned. "I'll give you two options. You can spill the beans... the easy way, or perhaps the hard way." The last part was punctuated with Faith putting more pressure upon the stayr, causing him to flinch. "Speak..." She whispered into the stayr's ears. He whimpered.
"I will never tell you anything!" He squeaked out. Faith rolled her eyes. She released her tail, and just as the stayr began to run away she ate it whole. "Fool."

"Dear Lord..." Dutch said. "What did I tell ya, kid?" Locke said. "Let's keep moving."
But Dutch wasn't having any of it. "What did that satyr ever do to you? How can you even be sure it was with Chaos?"
"Stand down-"
"No, you stand-" Dutch stopped suddenly. When he had turned around, he had found Locke's pistol firmly pressed against his visor. "The dragon did what the dragon had to do. Stand down." Locke said, lowering the weapon. "Let's go." he said. Dutch followed silently.

Faith glanced at Locke for a milisecond. She could find even footing with him, it seems. You had to do what you had to do. How did she know it was with Chaos? It was a stayr, and it was spying on them. Obviously, Dutch was a sentimental fool. What an idiot She thought, as she finally began to smell the stink of Chaos minions nearby. There were a lot of them, too. She regarded the two in front of her. Dutch would be useless. When in a war, everything which is not an ally is to be killed. Simple as that. Locke might fare better, but technology had it's limits. Faith thought about herself. She was a trained drake, and she wielded magic, which was an added plus. But she would be overwhelmed, even while drawing on the criclet's power.

Locke sensed them too. "Get ready, Dutch." he said. Dutch gave a stiff nod and raised his rifle. Something flew out of the bushes and he shot at it. A single chaos minion fell to his feet. A scout. "Attaboy." Locke said. "Stay ready, there's more coming." he said.

Faith heard them coming before they showed their faces. Her eyes dimmed as she blended into the shadows, as from behind she impaled them with her barbed tail. She didn't use anything flashy yet. Many of the Chaos minion began to notice her thought, and they blindly threw their weapons and spells at her. She easily wove between them. And what she didn't avoid, she took head on.

Locke and Dutch opened fire simultaneously. "Reloading, cover me!" shouted Locke. "I got you." said Dutch and started killing enemies near Locke. He ran out of ammo as well but Locke's rifle had jammed so he switched to his combat knife and started taking enemies up close. Locke managed to un-jam his rifle and started shooting again. Dutch reloaded and joined him

Faith huffed as a haphazard fire spell hit her head. She was a dragon, so it really didn't affect her that much-if it did at all. The glow in her eyes intensified, as she lunged and tore the wizard's hand from him. She growled. "Wanna play fetch?" She taunted, tearing the limb apart. The wizard healed himself with magic. "NO? Too bad." She said, making the wizard die in a fire.

"Dutch, take the sniper, get to higher ground. Lay down some cover!" Locke commanded. Dutch did so. 50 Cal. rounds rained onto the enemy. Locke switched from his Assault Rifle to his Battle Rifle and set it to three round bursts. An enemy wizard deflected the bullets and started shooting spells at Locke. Dutch soon changed that by blowing the wizard's brains out. "Owe you one." said Locke over the Tac-Com.
