Glaurug growled and activated his wings, the metallic limbs glowing orange. Sliuril snapped her fingers, and she too grew wings - leathery, black draconic wings which looked suspiciously like Faith's. Glaurug's wings absorbed the lightning bolts, and he fired them right back at Jack. Faith shot a fireball at Jack. Sliuril cursed some more, and with her increased speed she darted in, stabbed Jack a few times, and went out again.

Jack laughed, a cold high sound which actually caused Locke to stumble. "Young ones." He said. "You have no idea with whom you battle." He laughed. "Oh my God, please don't give me a lecture." Dutch muttered. "As you wish." Jack said, unleashing a wall of compressed air which swept the soldiers off their feet.

"By the name of the Elder, shut the hell up Jack!" Faith shouted, hissing and taking the compressed air head-on, and then shooting her spikes at Jack. Sliuril dissipated the blast with her sword, while Glaurug retaliated with a stronger, more controlled blast of his own. "Please, someone give him a history lecture about the Elder ones!"

"Elders, back, angry as crap!" Dutch shouted. Jack paused and looked at Sliuril. "Care to explain?"

"Perhaps in seventy years." Sliuril replied. "That is, provided you haven't figured it out yourself, Jack." She sent another lighting bolt at Jack. "Not as useful as I hoped, but whatever!" Glaurug shouted, as he sent several more blades of compressed air at Jack.

"It's a very simple matter. You explain what is going on, and I may just spare you. Though, yes, I do have the general idea by now. Which one?" Jack asked. Locke fired a rocket at him. It impacted, but only minorly injured him. He used magic to start choking Locke slowly. Dutch and the rest of the ODSTS kept firing at him.

"You know which one, and you know why we're here - why have me spell it out for you?" Sliuril asked back. "Besides, as weak as I am compared to a decade or two ago, I can still do this-" She stated, breaking Jack's hold on Locke. "without overexerting myself."

"Do you want me to actually start trying?" Jack asked. "No." Locke gasped. He could feel blood flowing down his neck. Jack had cut as well as choked. "Okay. Say I accept your offer. What next?" Jack asked.

"Oh come on! I have enough trouble dealing with the Seers already, Sliuril! You two don't make sense!" Faith wailed. Sliuril smiled. "We make perfect sense, dear, so long as you understand what we are talking about." She replied.

"And you appear to understand... now, to answer my question." Jack said, expectantly.

Sliuril shrugged. "Simple. We kill the Eldar Dragon. Hopefully without being killed in the process, and also installing Faith as the new Eldar - gods knows she would be so much less trouble for us compared to Dark!"

"A suicide plan." Jack said. "Okay then. Let's go." He said with a shrug.

"Speaking of which - would anyone here except me, Faith and Jack require an actual explanation of what we were talking about? Since as I understand it, Didact in particular cannot even match the with of a hatchling dragon." Sliuril offered. Glaurug raised his hand, and his eyebrows.

"I understand." Dutch said defensively. One of the Helljumpers looked around and raised his hand.

Sliuril sighed. "Alright, first off, in the beginning on the world-" She began, but Glaurug cut her off. "Who gave you permission to talk about the Eldar?" He asked.
"Myself, Glaurug. Now be quiet. In the beginning of the world, there were the Seven Elder Beings, who were, to put it simply, very powerful and practically impossible to kill. They're mostly quite unstable and easily angered, and the most powerful of them - the Dragon - is doubly so. He sired the wryms and the normal dragons - and Discord, apparently. And is capable of high-tier magic, such as the notorious Sol Invictus spell. Recently, he's gone a bit more mad than usual. And he plans on destroying the world and remaking it in his image. As far as I know, he has already killed off the Human and the Mech."

"Oh." The Helljumpers muttered. "Now," said Jack, "Let's go."

"Of course." Glaurug said, as he disappeared into the shadows.

"Uh-huh." Locke said. "And where exactly are we going? As in location? And do we have the firepower to take the dragon on?" He asked.

"We are going to- actually, our destination may pose a problem. How many hours can you Helljumpers stay airborne?" Sliuril asked.

"Err... depending on the angle of trajectory, we can be airborne for a minimum of three seconds, maximum of five hours." One Helljumper offered. Locke nodded to confirm this.
