The Honey Apricorn should be got in Honey Tree (Located in Route 53).Once you put at least 2 Honey Jars,and the Honey is not eaten, a Honey Apricorn will be generated under the tree and you can get it.
(Like a normal Apricorn got from a Tree in original Pokémon games)

What would the use of it be?
All i know at the moment is that it is located in Route 53 that's all i understand, from your explanation.

It would be used to generate PD (to sell for 100 PD) and for making even more Honey though the math is not so fair.
2 Honey Jars and 15 minutes:1 Honey Apricorn
1 Honey Apricorn:50 PD and 1 Honey Jar.

Is it possible that your honey is never eaten?
And Wouldn't it be a waste of you honey jars? You can never get any Pokemon if Pokemon do not appear in the Honey Tree....
And the apricorn is generally of no use...
