What I'm thinking of is having some sort of widget that we can use on every page on the site, and each page has a separate widget that has room for notes. Just away for us to have little reminders and to-do lists in places like our storage boxes and item bag to keep organized.
This way, rather than having to have multiple tabs (which produces server lag and at-home problems if you don't have good connection), or wasting paper by having a notepad on hand (which not everyone has on-hand), you can put a sticky note on a page where you need to remember something. You could use it in your bag to remind yourself what Gems you need for a certain exchange, over on the auction page and GTS to remind yourself what pokemon or keys and boxes you or your friends need, and in your Storage Boxes to remind yourself what pokemon are where so you can sort better, and also keep track of the hashtags and raffles you need to check up on!
You could put a sticky anywhere on the page, and it would stay there. From a user's page, they can manage them by colo(u)r or page, and can toggle if certain notes are visible to other users (friends, public, or private).
I just think it would help users in general, as I know my near OCD gets hold of me, and would probably save a lot of new users quite a few mistakes.

I also thought of a fun little thing for Art contests to! You could set up the notes in your storage boxes in the same place and put a bunch of your art on each. Then as someone clicks through it'd be like a little flip-book animation.

@KrazyKat Right, I'm well aware of programs like that existing, but they do cause some lag and it's hard to find ones that don't have a million and one bits of malware attached to them, especially since most of the population of the site are kids and haven't learned what sites look suspicious just from reading the description.
