There is an option to make it so that a thread can have 0 characters in its title, literally! I'm not sure if I'm the only one or not, but I can't visit those threads, at all.

My suggestion is to make it so that each thread needs a 1 character minimum in the title. For old threads this either won't count or maybe they'll get locked or something? Not sure about the old threads.
