Minor Updates
Forum-Index → News → Minor UpdatesSorry about inconvenience #2 today: Due to a weird server hickup, users were unable to properly click on easter eggs today. This bug has now been fixed and the easter egg event has been extended by 24 hours. It now ends tomorrow at midnight. Prizes can also be claimed one day later than expected - sorry again!
Please make sure to click on all easter eggs again which you found today. Make sure that all of them are properly ticked with a green "tick" symbol on the event page.
Due to a typo, Shiny Spring Flaaffy plushies were available for 9 Dream Points each this morning. This was unintentional - this type of plushie wasn't even planned to be purchaseable. Instead, a spring flaaffy plushie event starts tomorrow.
All Shiny Spring Flaaffy plushies bought this morning have now been converted into regular Flaaffy plushies. Additionally, everyone has received a refund of 6 Dream Points per plushie. It is not a full refund as your dream points spent on the shiny plushie still count for the current event distribution - plus, the plushies have not been deleted and just converted. I hope that's a good balance.
Game balancing:
→ The chance of finding a shiny from rumbling has been increased by 25%.
→ The mega-ability boost of mega cuffs has been increased to 500% (before: 400%). Their price remains unchanged. All purchased/activated cuffs are affected by this update as well.
Enjoy!
Game balancing:
→ The chance of finding legendary items in coloured mystery boxes has been increased by 20%.
→ The chance of finding gems in coloured and gold mystery boxes has been increased by 20%.
In both cases, the chance of finding berries has in return been decreased.
The currently on-going Pika-Pika event has been slightly rebalanced:
The Ukulele Pichu now only requires 80 Light Balls instead of 100 Light Balls initially, and the increment for every following egg has also been reduced to +40 Light Balls instead of +50 Light Balls.
In case you already claimed eggs before this update, then you received a "refund" of the Light Balls you "paid" too much.
Additionally, the shiny chance is now shown after you've claimed your 3rd Ukulele Pichu egg for extra motivation :) Good luck!
A new item has been added to the Emera Square: The Celestica Flute!
Combining it with relics of the past unleashes great power."

After analysing the "long-term effects" of the most recent mystery box balancing updates, I was able to go yet another step forward:
-> The amount of gems you receive from mystery boxes has been increased by about 30% on average. Note: Not the occurrence probability has been increased, but the amount you receive when you find gems in there. Exact numbers can't be given, however, since the amount depends on the type of mystery box and the rarity of the gem.
Additionally, Peat Block (evolves Ursaring into Ursaluna) and Black Augurite (evolves Scyther into Kleavor) can now be found in Mystery Boxes (any colour).
Our servers were down today from 3:30PM to 4:50PM (Server time) today due to a database update. I'm sorry for the unannounced inconvenience; it's oftentimes impossible to predict whether an update takes 10 seconds or 2 hours, and whether it even disrupts the service or not. And once the update has started, it cannot be aborted.
As a consolation, all active premium memberships and active flutes/mega cuffs have been extended by 12 hours; and there will be an extra x2 interaction multiplier as well as a 20% higher breeding chance tomorrow!
I can't give you more infos on this "database update", but you'll find out what it's for in the future :) Hope you understand!
A few updates for the GTS have been published:
-> Users on your blocklist can no longer send you private trades nor gifts.
-> The option to add your entire friendlist to your private trade has been removed. This has honestly been more annoying than useful in the past. Instead, you have to add every username manually from now; so think twice about who might actually be interested in your trade.
-> Speaking of being interested: You can now click a "Not interested" button on private trades visible to you. Clicking the button removes the trade from your list of private trades and you will no longer be able to offer on it. The option is not available while you have an active offer on the trade, however.
After yesterday's GTS Update, here is another one for the GTS Item Market:
Item prices at the item market now automatically drop when the item can not be sold for a longer time. There are a bunch of "dead (overpriced) items" on the market at the moment, which will - thanks to this update - now become affordable eventually. This will make it (almost) impossible for overpriced items to stay on the item market forever. Let me explain in detail:
During the first 7 days after an item has been set up on the item market, its price stays the same. Most (fair priced) items are sold within 7 days anyway, so nothing changes about this mechanic.
After 7 days of not having been sold, its price now starts to automatically decrease by 0.5% per day.
After 14 days, its price starts to decrease by 1.0% per day.
And after 28 days, its price starts to decrease by 1.5% per day.
Here are some example figures. Let's say we put an item on the market for 1,000 PD per piece - and no one wants to buy it. This is how its price will automatically change:
After... | New price |
---|---|
1 week | 1,000 PD (unchanged) |
2 weeks | 971 PD |
3 weeks | 908 PD |
4 weeks | 851 PD |
... | ... |
8 week | 569 PD |
... | ... |
16 weeks | 262 PD |
... | ... |
Important notice: Items that are currently set up on the market have now been "reset", so to say. Basically, all items currently on the market count as "set up today" (August 27th, 2022), so prices will not start to decrease within the next 7 days. Make sure to remove your (overpriced) items from the market if you're not actually planning on selling them! Otherwise, they'll become affordable one day.
One small note: Items for 66 PD or less are not affected by this update (since 66 - 1.5% (rounded up) is still 66).
As always: Please let this update play out before making further suggestions on how to improve the item market. The long-term effects of this update will not be visible right away. It will take a few weeks until it even becomes noticeable.
A bug regarding the corn maze in the new fun fair event has been fixed. Please post in this bug thread if you're still experiencing issues. All issues will be fixed as soon as possible!
Also, I would like to give credit to RC_CLOWN for creating the new Mega Pokémon available in this grand event! They submitted it in last year's mega event spriting contest and won. Congratulations and thanks so much for this cool contribution! :)
Minor fix(es) regarding the Fun Fair:
-> The plushie you receive after bobbing an apple on your 5th day is supposed to be a Shiny Applin Plushie, not a regular one. Your plushie has now been updated, in case you've obtained it before the fix.
-> Articuno, Zapdos and Moltres (Retro) are supposed to come as eggs and not hatched. This is now the case. You've also received their eggdex entries now in case you've claimed them before this fix.
The following Hisuian Pokémon have been added:
Basculin (White)
(Evolves from Basculin (Red) or Basculin (Blue) by performing the typical Hisui-evolution which involves the Azure Flute and Arceus)
Basculegion
(Evolves from Basculin (White) at Level 50 or above)
Sneasler
Evolves from Sneasel (Hisuian) using a Razor Claw during the day)
Overqwil
(Evolves from Qwilfish (Hisuian) at Level 35 or above)
Additionally, you can now claim a Dex Completion certificate from Professor Rowan for filling your Hisui Dex. This certificate will allow you to evolve Dialga and Palkia into their origin forms (also using the Azure Flute + Arceus).
Important note: The origin forms are only trade-able among users who own the Hisui Certificate! You cannot ask your friends to perform the evolution for you if you haven't unlocked the certificate yourself yet.
Since Plates now have a second purpose besides changing Arceus' forme, they have been removed from the "Forme-Change" item category and instead been moved to the new category "Plates". In your item bag, this is still listed under "Evo. Stones".
This is relevant, for example, when setting them up as a trade or when searching for them at the item market.
