"Anything you've slain?" Galadriel repeated with disbelief, as she
resisted the urge to poke inside Daphilla's mind. "That... is...
odd. Alright then. And where were you before you ended up here?
What were you doing?"
"I.....don't remember." She was looking really confused, and the
confusion was genuine. She had no idea where she had been before
this or what had happened or anything!!
"You don't remember... And you are telling the truth... Very well.
Take my hand. And for your own sake, transform into something that
can fly." Galadriel said, offering Daphilla her hand.
"But how? There aren't any flying things I've killed...but I guess
I could use my wings.." (She normally doesn't use her wings) She
started flapping her wings.
"Hold on." Galadriel said, as she squeezed Daphilla's hand and
teleported, bringing the mutant with her. The two reappeared again
next to Skye and Kym.
Skye raised an eyebrow at Galadriel. "You know, not everyone is as
comfortable with teleporting as me, Galadriel."
"She has wings."
"That doesn't necessarily mean you can teleport her willy-nilly. So
what's her name, anyway?"
"Daphilla. She a mutant who apparently specializes in transforming
into anything she has slain before. I don't suppose you know if she
is using magic of some sort?"
"Nah, she's not using magic. Only thing I know that can change
shapes are Changelings, and they're stuck to taking equine shapes."
Skye answered.
(OK then. And good grief, don't spam. At his rate I'll have to ban
you. Anyway, you get an additional warning for that.)
"Daphilla, what can you transform to?" Skye asked the mutant. 'I
don't suppose you've ransacked her mind? And how do you not know
about Changelings?'
"I haven't done that since you very loudly and rudely told me not
to." Galadriel answered.
(Spam?! How am I spamming? This is pretty normal for active RPs,
no??)
"Um, nothing yet since I haven't slain anything yet." Daphlia
responded, struggling to fly back to them.
(Sign-up is there for a reason-it also doubles for replies which
have no story-relevant post to them. So it doesn't clutter this up.
Which often annoys me.)
Skye facepalmed. "How con you not have killed and have survived in
this place?" She asked. "That's nearly impossible, even for her!"
Skye pointed at Galadriel.
"No it is not. She could always just have hidden from the mutants.
Still, have you not stepped on an ant? Or squashed a mosquito? Not
that I like doing such things, but apparently they are quite normal
for humans."
(Ok,ok. I won't do it again. >:T)
"Um.....I think I had killed some things, want me to list them? The
list isn't too long.." She was a bit timid as she said this.
"Just do it already." Skye said, irritated by Daphilla. 'Also, I
don't have any information about Changelings because when we first
met, though I claimed to have read every single thing in your mind,
I was in fact bluffing. If I did that, I would have left you a
wreck, your mind torn apart.'
"You can do that?!" Skye shrieked at Galadriel, who had an amused
smile on her face.
"How would a mutated owl even look like? And what species? Hoot
owl? Shriek owl? Barn owl? Eagle owl? Tawny owl? Barn owl?"
Galadriel asked, curious. She had way too much knowledge about
various wildlife. Studying was, frankly, all she could do in the
Undying Lands which didn't bore her much.
"Then I suppose you could morph into that." Skye said.
"Or we could continue heading to Atlantis." Kym offered the
group. "Also, I'm still tossing Quill haphazardly
everywhere." She added.
Daphlia transformed into a snowy owl that was truly beautifully
deadly. It had small wings (6) sticking out from the sides of its
head, it had 2 pairs of wings, it had four talons, and it had
small, feathery spines sticking out of its back. "Hwroo!" Said
Daphlia, hooting.
"That would classify as a totally mutated owl-it's barely
recognizable, unlike the Apex, which obviously is a giant wolf."
Skye said. "Now we really should be going to Atlantis."
