After a nuclear war that killed off roughly all the citizens on Earth, the world is in chaos. Food is starting to run out for the remaining survivors. Animals that managed to survive have mutated into flesh-eating monsters. Thieves roam the streets, aiming to steal anything they can get their hands on. Very few humans that have been tested on by the Government have obtained eccentric but uncontrollable powers and a guide in their head that is trying to take them over but is also keeping them alive. Their memories have been wiped and comes in flashbacks, and the only reason few of them have survived is because they have been contaminated in a sleeping prison until now. An organization is out to get those special people, and who knows what they will do.

Adrien walked calmly through the city, listening to the quiet clack of his shoes hitting the sidewalks. Really, there was nothing else to listen to - except maybe the wind. Adrien despised the wind. It always ruffled his hair and blew on his face. He might even think that the wind followed him always, if it wasn't for his ability. When he was a shadow, he felt faster than ever. He felt invincible, immortal, and, obviously, invisible. Adrien continued walking. He didn't feel bothered enough by the wind to turn into a shadow, and there was almost nothing to do, thus he walked.

Agana's chin rested on her hand, while her elbow rested on her leg. Her leg was bouncing up and down rapidly, making her elbow bounce, which made her head bounce. She wasn't looking at anything in particular, just a wall. A plain old grey wall which did nothing but keep her in. She knew she could melt the wall with enough effort, but security would no doubt catch her before she finished. With an exasperated sigh, she kept watching the wall, as if expecting a superhero to burst through it at any second. And she kept tapping her foot, as if expecting to stimulate her brain through this monotonous practice.

Crysia lay on a cold metal table, her head aching wildly and every limb that was attached to her numb and almost useless. What the?... She forced herself to sit up, even though it cause her head to spin rapidly and her large blue eyes to water. She didn't remember anything. Why am i here?... What smells like smoke?... Questions filled her mind. Crysia's pale fingers clenched the sides of the metal table. Her bones cowered, and a ringing filled her ears. It was as if there was an earthquake inside her. Crysia was knocked off the table and slammed into the hard concrete floor, groaning in pain. She looked up to see the metal table vibrating and realized that an earthquake had occurred--but only on the table. Confused, Crysia touched the table. It stopped vibrating. She exhaled deeply, got on her feet, and looked around.
There was exactly one exit. It was a window. Crysia walked up to it, and craned her head forwards to glance down at what was outside. About six feet below the window was a lake, and even though Crysia didn't remember what a lake looked like it looked odd. It was a poisonous green-brown and polluted so badly that Crysia did nothing but stare. Her senses returned as she heard the soft clacking of shoes against pavement, and a dark-clothed man walked down the sidewalk, so calmly that Crysia was baffled.
She looked down once more at the lake, and took deep breaths. Crysia climbed up on the window so that the only thing keeping her from falling was the push-up she was doing on the bottom of it (the window was technically just a hole). Crysia released, shutting her eyes tight and covering her nose and mouth as she fell. The wind slashed violently at her face, which only made Crysia shut her eyes tighter. She landed into the polluted water with a splash, and blindly made her way to the surface and scrambled out of the water. Her ankle was hurt from the impact. Crysia got up to her feet and walked straight into the empty road, as if nothing had happened at all.
