Luckily, Cassius wasn't enable to see some Confederate Armies there in Tennessee in the inspection, Cassius landed in Baton Rouge, carries along his letter. Then, escapes at the vehicle. Then, he puts the letter in the door, knocks it and hides from the porch.
As his mother opened the door, she saw a letter from Cassius and reads it. Few minutes later, Cassius shows up and hugs him.
"Cassius? Cassius!" Her mom hugged Cassius.
"Oh, hon. I miss you so much. I was kinda worried about you. Anyway, people here in Louisiana is looking for you, because you're an outlaw now."
"I know, Mom. I know. Anyway, can I go inside?"
"Sure."
Cassius and her mom went inside to their house and Cassius sits in the couch for a while.

"You want some juice and... wait, Cassius, what's wrong?" Her mother came to sit down and starting a conversation with Cassius.
"What's the problem, Cassius? Is it because you're an outlaw now?"
"No. It's because I miss her," said Cassius, while crying.
"Who?"
"Evangelina Lightwood. She's the daughter of the general in the Union. She's the cause why I become an outlaw. I save her, just to get her away from Confederate States, but I don't know."
His mother was shocked and comforted him.

"Our family receives threats in Baton Rouge, because our family thinks that our family and you are a monster and an outlaw. They think we deserve to leave in Baton Rouge. Also, I don't know why your father isn't here yet for weeks."
"Oh! I hope Dad will be fine, Mom."
"I hope so, hon," said his mom.

"No, thank you. I need water, Mom."
"Sure thing, hon."
Her mom gets a glass of water and gives it to Cassius. Her mom comes closer to her.
"Wait, where's Jennifer?"
"I set her free, away from the states."
"Why?"
"I don't want Jennifer to suffer his ancestors, too. So, I think I should set her free. I think your dad will do the same, too."
"That's nice, Mom."
