Leona perked up the moment they stepped into the barn. Evangelina
walked over to her mare and stroked her head.
"Morning Leona, my pretty girl. Would you like to go outside,
honey?" Evangelina asked. Leona snorted, making Evangelina smile.
She took Leona out and let her roam around the farm, munching on
sweet grass.
Cassius helped Evangelina feed the horses. Cassius helped other
horses to roam around the field, munching some grasses. Cassius
couldn't control the animals very much. Cassius is too difficult to
handle some animals.
Evangelina helped to show him how to get the animals to respond to
him, showing him how to gain their trust. She took him to the
ducks, feeding them. She took a small, fluffy yellow duckling and
placed it in his hands.
Evangelina puts Cassius a duckling on his hand. He was careful
taking care of it, but he has a small chance that he could take
care of animals, like Evangelina do everyday, taking care of
animals, while she has a free time in he hospital. Cassius suddenly
remembered.
'Lina, I know you take care lots of patients in the hospital,
but... have you been to the hospital working? You have never been
sighted to the hospitals since two weeks ago," Cassius said to
Evangelina, remembering she was a nurse.
"I nearly forgot!" She gasped. "I was so happy and excited to be
home, I forgot all about the hospital!"
"It's okay, Lina," Serafina laughed, "I already let them know
you're back. If you want to go tonight, or today, then I can help
you get there without your mom worrying. She'd probably be alright
with it now if you and Cassius went together."
"Sera's right. You have to rest for a bit. I know you should've
work at the hospital right now, but you've been kidnapped. So, you
must relax for a little longer," Cassius said to Evangelina and
smiled.
Evangelina smiled at him but shook her head. "No, I have got to go
tonight. They need me. It doesn't matter if I'm a little tired.
They have been out in the war, fighting for the freedom of my
friends families. I can not let them down. If I can help one of
them get better, it's worth it. But I want to help them all."
"Okay. I won't stop you from doing anything. You have the rights to
do that. If I stop you from helping patients in the war, all
patients must be on a critical level. I think you should help the
soldiers in need."
"Well, if he didn't like you, he wouldn't be so relaxed. I think
you've made a new friend. Or at least he has decided to make you
his friend," Evangelina laughed lightly. "I wouldn't be surprised
if he started following you around! Do you want to name him?"
Evangelina giggled as Flynn snuggled deeper into Cassius's hands.
"He think he has decided you're his dad. He and the other ducklings
are orphans so he could be your pet if you want."
