Here's my suggestion:
You know how some people save up for things (Pokeradar, auctions, etc) but always spend the money? Well I think there should be an addon for the bank/maybe alarm clock that reminds you to save your money! It could be useful for users who tend to forget things (like me somedays)
I'm sorry if this sounds stupid.

@MidnightRein you need to look at the times the forum posts were created, mine was created a month ago and that one was created 11 days ago xD
But yes, I think they'd go together quite well!

Bump
This is a good idea
I like a bank option where you could deposit money. Possibly gain interest over extended periods of time? Regardless a bank feature does sound like a good tool for those saving type

What if you're saving up for that mega powered and mega stone, but you're prone to spending all your PD. well, now you can put it in the bank and watch it grow until you can afford your dream Pokemon or whatever

No support. If you really want to save up for something, then you would be able to save for it. You're not dedicated to a specific thing if you're just using your money for other stuff.

@forever the problem is though, there are loads of different people and personalities on this site, and I at least often get distracted by "OOH! PIECE OF CANDY IN THE MALL!" or the Game Center. It's hard to be dedicated to a specific thing on a site like this when you're trying to go through and just play. I mean, look at Neopets, that had a similar structure, a bank helped a lot of players do a lot better when it was opened to them. And depositing money into a bank would help us dedicate ourselves to one thing, kinda like an allowance or savings account in real life, we know how much of what we have we can spend, and how much we would need to put away.

Exactly. I'm not saying I don't know how to save, it's just be nice to have an option to do it so I don't even have to worry about touching it

So you want more options on the Alarm clock, like a warning alarm, or like a bank storage account where once you reached the quota for whatever you were saving for you could withdraw the money?

@Firewolf that is exactly it! There would be an Alarm Clock notification that says:
"Ding dong!
Don't forget to save some Pokedollar!
"
Or, for the bank, there would be a button that says "Start a Savings Account"(or something like that xD)

I'm going to try and revive this.

Why?
Because, A) this is a really common mechanic that almost every video game and browser game already has, and it just makes sense. It wouldn't already be a thing in the industry if it weren't practical, and as a "kid's" site, it teaches a lesson in practicality and real-world applications. Save aside some pennies today, be able to buy what you want tomorrow. B) two words. Friendly. Charity. There are two types of people on the internet. Those that hold their money to themselves and don't help other users when they ask and those that give everything to give a friend a leg up. I'm one of the second types, I try and help everyone and often end up even more poor than I should be. Forever, I've put in almost as much hours as you, with less months, and by all means I probably should be just as rich as you, but I don't have the mentality to "just save". Like I said in my last post, it's hard when stuff is expensive to just save up if you need something, and it turns into a sand trap that you can't get out of.

No support, I wouldn't use it and people make their own choices about this so I don't think it's usefull.

It's not like the feature would force you to stash PD. It's a safety net. Not necessary, but comfort and help to players who may use it.

Supported by me! I have issues with money, and like Midnight Rein said before, I help others all the time. That's the reason I have a shop that ADVERTISES being cheap with good items. I know that I've had a few people on here say that they are also bad with money management. The way I get around that in real life: I use a Savings Account.
Here's an idea I just thought of as I was typing this: Make it so you set a goal for the bank, and then after the goal has been met you can take the Pokedollars out. That's just an idea, though.
Also, here's what my parents always tell me: Put money in a bank, keep some for cheap expenses, and put a good portion of it away for later. If you do this, you're less likely to spend your money all at once, and instead just spend it when you feel strongly about it. It makes your choices better for you, and it could help interacting because if you put Pokedollars into the bank daily, then you will deplete some of your expenses, and are more likely to notice "I'm low on Pokedollars, I should interact to get some more." This is some of the main reasons why I not only agree with, but completely support, this suggestion!
Just remember: You can't prove God didn't crawl out of the ocean.
