Mine was actually Emerald - I didn't even know that games exsisted
until one of my friends was like: "Let's play Pokemon games!" so we
started playing :3 It was pretty much new for me - I only knew
pokemon up to second generation than they stopped translating them
and showing the anime on the TV here :(
XD: Gale Of Darkness. So my first Pokémon was an Eevee that I
evolved into an Umbreon, which is one of the reasons Umbreon is my
favorite Pokémon, my first legendary was XD001(Lugia), and the
first Pokémon I ever caught was a Teddiursa. I am a very
sentimental person.
Umbreon is epic! Made by Wraitheon1! Made by Yoru! Made by NeverEndingStory! Made
by Umbreon 014! Made by Celestial!
The first game I ever played was Pokemon-Red version. (I know,
pretty old, right?)
My First caught pokemon was a pidgey, she was a female. and first
starter was a Charmander he was male.
My first game was Fire Red, my first starter was Charmander (Which
I hate to this day...), any first caught Pokémon was Geodude, and
my first legend, Zapdos.
I started with Pokemon Red (for FIREred, but the normal red), being
proud to play the first version ever until a few years I found out
there was a Green edition that never came out in germany. I then
continued with Yellow, Gold, Crystal, Sapphire (sadly no Emeral),
Platinum only once as an emulation because my parents wouldn't buy
me a NDS ("You play too much on your computer, no DS, no PS,
nothing!") or the game itself ("You are too old for Pokemon!"
bleh), then Black (I got the old DS from a friend and had some
leftover money).
I guess Pokemon Y will be an Emulation, too, because I have no
money for a 3DS and the game :/
Yellow in 2000. It was the only game I initially knew existed
because my best friend had been telling me about hers and when she
eventually showed me I had to have it. The first Pokemon I ever
captured was a Pidgey whose name, Windy, I had come up with before
I had obtained the game inspired by my best friend's Pigeotto's
name. I'd also modeled my Pikachu's name after hers. Hers was Zappy
and I came up with Zapper. I wasn't as creative then as I try to be
now. I would never name a Pikachu Zapper anymore! XD
Next came Silver in which I begun with Totadile but because it had
been my first time actually choosing a starter I had done it
absentmindedly and once it fully evolved I ceased using it for a
long time but later after completing it restored it to my team. It
didn't have a nickname at first but I later called it Surfer USA.
At one point I transferred all my valuable pokemon from Yellow to
Silver except Zapper. This included Windy, Mewtwo and the three
birds. Windy had made it to level 100 along with two other pokemon;
a Dragonite named Norbert and a Furret named Muffin. My best friend
and I beaten it and her Gold side by side, we traded, mystery
gifted, link battled and bred together a bunch. Good memories.
My silver cartridge died in 2007 taking everything with it. I had
Stadium 2 so I could have saved my pokemon but I hadn't any
knowledge of save batteries dying.
Yellow has still been working fine but I haven't turned it on for a
while it could very well be dead by now. It doesn't have the
original file on it anymore I have restarted it about 4 times at
least. I'm surprised my red and blue survived as long as they did
since I had gamesharked the heck out of them. XD
My first was PMD: Explorers of Sky. >_<
I feel so embarrassed...
The first one I ever knew about, though, was Colosseum. I always
watched my sister play it when I was a little kid. ^-^ I love GCN,
and Colosseum, because of it. SADX, too, but that doesn't relate to
this, does it? xD
I think I played Green once at a friends house when I was a Kid,
But Officially it would be Diamond. It was the first game I Played
through and the only reason I Got a DSlite in the first place
Today I turned on my original Yellow cartridge for the first time
in a while, changed some of my pokemon's nicknames and caught a
gastly for Sabrina (it's so unfamiliar now how the dark type
doesn't exist in Yellow hehe). I am in quite a bit of shock that it
hasn't died yet.
I've been a Pokemon fan since it first came to the States (and a
little before then, since I had a friend whose family had Japanese
connections), but it wasn't until middle school that I realized
what the games really were. I saw a couple friends playing them,
but it was mainly the show and cards that had my attention back
then. I can't remember why it was Sapphire, though. I guess it was
the only used Pokemon game the store had at the time.
I miss that cartridge. :C I think it got stolen right after I
transferred my first starter over to my brand new Diamond
game...which later was stolen, too. A couple girls I knew traded me
their old Sapphire cartridge, which is collecting dust in my game
holder.

add you, too!
My first Pokemon game was Fire Red. I was never interested in
Pokemon that much when I was young, until my big brother got me
into the games and I've played every single new release ever since.
I even got a 3DS just for Pokemon X.
The first I've ever played was Yellow. I was five though, and I
wasted my Masterball on something in the Cerulean Cave haha oops.
I've played a game from every generation though except II. I missed
out on GSC.
