Grovyle stood still for a couple minutes, contemplating his
question. He finally looked at Salamence, and smiled "Would....
Would you like to form a team with me?"
"I..." Salamence blinked. "I don't... know." Salamence hesitated.
If we form a team, could I still keep him out of this? I don't
want him or anyone else getting hurt... "Perhaps, but only on
one condition. I will need to leave you often. Please, do not go
after me if I do. I will return to be in your team as often as I
can, but I cannot stay with you all the time."
Grovyle nodded "I remember somebody mentioning a town in this
region. I'm not sure where it is, but I hear it has a great guild.
We could probably form our team there, if you wanted to."
"Then... alright," Salamence agreed. "However, just remember that I
can't fly due to my broken wing. We'll need to go on foot; it could
be several days' time before we can reach it. There will likely be
several Dungeons along the way as well."
"Ah, no, it's nothing new," Salamence said. "I've been unable to
fly for a while, so I'm used to it; I was only clarifying since the
idea of a flightless Salamence is an unusual one to most, given why
my kind reaches this evolution stage to begin with, and you might
expect me to be able to fly you to some places."
"Where exactly is this guild? Depending on how far it is, there may
be a faster method," Salamence said. "Still, if it's close enough
to here, it would only take longer."
"This appears to be the start of a Mystery Dungeon," Salamence
observed. "There's a Kangaskhan Rock there; shall we prepare before
heading in, or do you have nothing in particular that you'd like to
withdraw or deposit?" Salamence then seemed to realize something.
"Ah, yes, I'd best deposit the Haze Relic first."
"Ah, alright," Salamence said. After depositing the Haze Relic, he
set off in the direction of the Boundless Steppe, the first Mystery
Dungeon the two would traverse entirely as a team. "Boundless
Steppe should be fifteen floors," he said. "I do hope I'm not
mixing it up with anything else, however. I could be entirely
incorrect."
