There were no Pokémon in the first few rooms; however, a Leafeon
and a Lilligant appeared after a while. "Watch out for the
Lilligant's Teeter Dance," Salamence warned. He used Twister
immediately, hoping to keep the Lilligant from using the move.
Salamence had to recharge, leaving him open as Lilligant used
Quiver Dance - doubling her speed, Special Attack and Special
Defense - and Leafeon used Trump Card, which accomplished very
little.
Salamence used Hyper Beam on Lilligant, finishing her off (the
Quiver Dance would have made even it fail to knock her out if not
for Grovyle's attack), but was Paused for the next turn as a
result. Leafeon used Trump Card once more, and the move increased
in power due to its slightly reduced PP.
(Also, I thought I had said Hyper Beam before, too. XD That was why
I said I was recharging. (I had planned on Hyper Beam initially but
then decided on Twister instead, so of course I still THOUGHT I
said Hyper Beam. XD))
Leafeon was weakened severely, and Salamence, no longer paused,
used Flamethrower to finish it off. Leafeon dropped a Blast
Seed.
"Let's keep going," Salamence said as he picked up the Seed. "We
can't afford to wait for too long. It's dangerous here."
Salamence sighed. "I most sincerely hope that that is the case,
Grovyle. Please be on the lookout for danger; there are some
Pokémon around here that... that I would rather not meet."
A Weavile stared, spying in the bushes undetectably. Keh heh
heh. Master Golurk will be pleased indeed. Right where we need
them... Keep talking, you two. Stay put here in the Nocturne Wilds
while we prepare... to get rid of you. ♥ The bushes rustled as,
through a variation of Shadow Sneak, Weavile disappeared
completely. Salamence turned his head, but Weavile had already
vanished.
Oh, please no. Please don't find us here... Not while Grovyle is
here... Please don't bring him into this, Salamence wished.
Salamence hurried to the entrance of Nocturne Wilds and prepared to
traverse the dungeon. "I believe there to be only seven floors here
before the waypoint. We should make it with little difficulty."
