favorite SU character: Garnet
why do you like steven universe?: There are so many reasons Steven Universe has quickly become my favorite cartoon. First reason being the animation. I find the style of the cartoon to be very unique and pretty. Another reason I love Steven U is because of the amazing backstory and character development! Every episode I watch makes me want to know the characters better. Lastly, I love how the show is so light-hearted and full of magic.

Since I haven't made a post on this thread besides the form I had to fill to get accepted into the fanclub, I figured I'd throw a topic of discussion out there! I've noticed throughout the series, there are many references to different animes and videogames, and Pokemon is one of the things they've referenced several times (Y)

SPOILER ALERT: do not read if you have not seen Episode 39 or 49.

In episode 39 where Steven finds out about Garnet's future vision, he thinks about different scenarios in which he could die. In one of those scenarios, he is getting attacked by two Beedrills.
I also noticed that Steven owns a stuffed animal that resembles Pikachu. And lastly, I'm quite positive that Ruby and Sapphire were named after the Pokemon games.
