Hello everyone!

I guess you all noticed it - there's huge lag when browsing on this site from time to time.
I worked the whole day now to search for the problem. And I think I found the reason for this now:
This website is currently hosted on a so called "Virtual Server", which is shared with other websites. You can imagine it as a big computer while the websites are simple software programs.
What you might have experienced with your own computer, is, that when you have opened MANY windows simultaneously, than everything is working very slow.

I presume that there's another website (or even more) on the same Virtual Server that has MANY visitors from time to time and occupies a lot of traffic and bandwidth.

I have researched and there is the possibility to move to a better Virtual Server: This server guarantees two cores specifically and only for this site.
That means that we don't have to share our traffic with any other website anymore.
That's pretty cool, yeah.


Long story short, I'm going to do this upgrade in the next few days and there is going to be a short downtime (most likely between 13 and 19 o'clock server time) when I move the database/files etc. to the new Server.

This Server is going to cost twice as much as the current one does, but some supportive users already bought Nuggets so this could be financed by a small part already. Thank you!
