The Hunger Games
Forum-Index → Roleplay → The Hunger Games"I'm not as stupid as someone from the Capitol, nor am I as ruthless as a tribute from District 2. If you meant harm, you would of left me to die. If you think I'd actually try to kill you in this state, then it's either you suppose I'm from District 2 or I'm just an idiot." Jade hissed.
The glint of gold in sunlit of their mockingjay accessories made Jade notice the charms.
No, they're the idiots. They didn't kill me on the spot and they're wearing signs of rebellion in front of the Gamemakers. Grimly, Jade's hand reached for a stick as she quickly hoisted herself to her feet, using it for support. She looked up at them. "What, are you here to watch me struggle? Aren't you going to go?" She hissed.
''gee, i'd like to sink my sword's into any district kid here, but i've had enough blood on my hand's from the twenty-third annual hunger game's, and i do not want any more blood on my hand's now'' he said, his tone of voice sounding slightly irritated.
madeline had already been acting uncomfortable just because of the other two tribute's.
''jackson.. let's just go, please...?'' she asked quietly, sheathing her sword.
''alright maddie...'' he grumbled and sheathed both sword.
and with that, they ran off, disappearing through a few tall bushes.
jackson spotted a small camara and just stared for a moment, then when his anger passed boiling he raised his hand up and gave the gamemakers watching a one fingured sign and lowered his hand.
''nice, tick the gamemakers even more....'' madeline grumbled.
''i'm more ticked maddie... the peacekeepers are idiotic moron's and so are the gamemaker's, and you know what? i don't flipping care... the peacekeeper's killed my family because they tried rebelling and never regretted it, i knocked a peacekeeper out and a gun was pulled out right on the spot and i never even regretted punching him, and i accepted my fate... i am part of the rebellion and always have been ever sense i seen the thing's they did, and before all that when i got reaped and i got stuck in that death ridden arena to fight, i was scared, i didn't think i'd make to the end... but when i allied with you i found new hope and wanted for both of us to be able to go home.... but when it came to it there wasn't a choice and i regretted that day ever since madeline jewel, and i never got rid of this mockingjay charm'' he said raising up his chain necklace with the charm.
she held up the charm on her necklace and smiled.
''hated this sick game of kill or be killed for year's jack... trust me'' she said.
(yea... jackson is ticked, lol)
they both put their mockingjay charm's under their shirt collar's and got up, heading off to go hunt.
jackson was walking ahead when he glanced back to make sure madeline was still right behind him.
i won't let anyone hurt you maddie... i promise.. he thought, miserably promising himself knowing that anything bad would happen to either of them.
Jade's ears rung as she heard someone's cannon fire. Nellie! She thought. Jade grabbed at her sheath for her sword, but all she felt was the the leather that had held it to her waist. Right. The stupid rockfall crushed my sword. She thought with anger, now wanting to use her bare hands the choke slam the head Gamemaker. Sadly, she couldn't. She glanced up at the sky, which had turned a pale pink due to the sunset.
She still was worrying about Nellie. Suddenly she jumped, whipping around to face what was behind her and planting her walking stick into the ground harshly. A boy with a saw (Jade was rather surprised at his choice of weapon) stood two feet behind her, his face grim and his hands clenched around his weapon. Jade's heart pounded in her rib cage, more worried about her ally rather than herself. He walked towards her, his elbow slamming in her chest and knocking her to the ground with a thump.
Jade felt like her back had been broken by force, making her knuckles turn white from clenching her stick too tightly. Her brunette hair fell in her face, but not very much of it since she had it in a sloppy ponytail. Jade glared straight into the tribute's green eyes, his saw raised above her. His knees sank into her thighs so she couldn't get up. "Say goodbye, tree-girl." He hissed in a raspy voice that indicated he was thirsty. Jade's broken leg still hurt. Without thinking, she slammed her stick at the side of the boy's head.
With him being a bit of the scrawny side, he shook off balance and gave Jade the opening to knee her leg into his stomach. He fell on his side, but his hands (which were surprisingly strong) gripped firmly onto her arm. He dragged Jade to his chest, his left arm closing around her neck in a motion that showed she was about to have her neck snapped. Her working foot stepped on his saw, dragging it forward and picked it up with her hands. She shoved the saw into his arm, making him squeal and let go of her. Without another thought, Jade dug the saw into the other tribute's neck, and she heard another cannon fire.

(I guess I start off like Daniel was already in the game.)
Daniel, whom was a very scared boy, was on the lookout for any other tributes. He was hiding from people, he held on to his axe. "I can't believe it had to be me from district four." He sighed. Daniel decided to run into the forest. He tried to stay down. Even though he was fast, others could have bows, he didn't want to take the risk of being killed. He looked towards the clock and wondered, "This sure is a survival area. It's like a camping trip.. but dangerous."
they turned around and a tribute threw a spear.
madeline ducked and charged, sinking her sword into the enemy tribute's chest.
there was a thud on the ground behind her and when she turned around jackson was flat on his back with a spear in his stomach.
''jackson!!!'' she shrieked and ran over, carefully pulling the spear out and setting him up.
he coughed and looked up at madeline, a small smile crossing his face.
''sorry maddie.... i wasn't fast enough.....'' he muttered.
she cupped her hand's on his cheek's and put her forehead against his, tear's streaming.
''i'm so sorry jackson....!'' she cried.
''hey... don't cry maddie.... just stay strong and stay focused.. never give up alright...? for me..'' jackson murmured, coughing faintly.
he put a hand on her cheek and pulled her head down, lightly kissing her before slowly going limp.
she was stunned for just a moment before breaking down into tear's, hugging him tightly.
two cannon's went off, one for the tribute madeline killed and one for jackson.
she grabbed her sword and started walking, her expression cold and murderous now, no trace of kindness left in her crimson red eye's.
when will this sick and twisted game ever end... she wondered, walking on and holding her long sword's hilt tightly.
If it would make you happy,
I'll give my most precious thing to you.
Even if it turns out we can't meet for a second time,
A smile will always bloom in my heart.
Goodbye..
