outside of draco's door a plate slid under the door, then a locking
sound.
he was not in the greatest of mood's and was wanting to be
alone.
jack got up and went to his room, still clutching his ear
tightly.
maxwell blinked and looked at robin.
''so.... how's life?'' he asked, breaking the awkward silence.
Robin leaned back on his chair, supporting his balance with the
wall. He noticed it had a rather old-fashioned wallpaper. "We're
being chased by cops, Skye just raged, the government wants us
dead, and we're stuck here." He replied flatly. "It's improved from
last year." Robin added, the squirrel looking up at him curiously.
How bad was it? The squirrel questioned. Me and Skye
fought more. Robin replied simply. Holy crap! The
squirrel exclaimed mentally.
maxwell sighed and ran one of his hand's through his hair.
''you could be a bit more nice.. be thankful me and jack allowed
you guy's to stay...'' he grumbled, glaring at robin in
annoyance.
something rubbed up against robin's chair and rounded the table,
claw's lightly tapping the floor.
maxwell pulled a chair out on his left and a pure black wolf with
bright crimson eye's climbed up into the chair next to him.
''hey buddy'' he said, scratching under the wolf's chin.
the wolf's tail wagged happily.
Robin grumbled something offensive and scowled at Maxwell. His
squirrel perched on his shoulder, glaring at the wolf as if waiting
for it to chase after something. Calm down. It won't hurt
you. He stroked the squirrel's head softly with his two
fingers, a green glow reflecting off of them as he revived a
poinsettia that was nearly withered on the table. He blocked out
the sound of the noisy talking in the kitchen and instead listened
to the melody of the birds chirping outdoors.
maxwell glared at robin and then looked to the black wolf next to
him, stroking down his back.
''i'm sorry for how my brother's have been acting... they've always
been annoying idiot's..'' he grumbled, keeping his gaze locked on
the wolf.
the wolf leaned over and rubbed his forehead against maxwell's and
bark quietly, licking maxwell's face.
''gah, shadow..! seriously you silly wolf??'' he questioned.
shadow just had a smug grin on his face while his tail wagged.
Skye's foot tapped on the ground eagerly, her arms crossed as she
looked out of the window. The sun was merely rising above the
horizon, sending a soft golden glow on the fresh grass that was
sparkled wih dew. The sky was a nice Orange, yellow, and pink;
there was no blue yet. Skye's hand touched the top of her left
cheek, right where her fainted scar was. Her fingers delicately
traced it to where it ended on the corner of her lip. It brought
back memories of where her somewhat peaceful childhood collapsed
and she recognized herself as a Darkness Fantasy--a freak.
She glanced towards the couch where Brandon was sleeping, and
snoring softly as his hand draped over the edge. She chuckled very
softly and walked over to him, her hands very faintly glowing a
soft sky blue as a warm blanket of clouds covered her brother up to
his shoulders. It became more solid, an odd thing that any Weather
Fantasy could do (or any Fantasy, for the matter of speaking) and
unmoving, draining no energy from her whatsoever, unlike purposeful
Weather stuff did.
She looked down on the brown carpet at Robin, whom had a tendency
for sleeping on the floor. Skye sighed and sat down on the
armchair, waiting for Draco to awaken despite the early morning.
He promised that we'd move out of this stupid place in the
Spring. She thought, boredom looking at the sunrise.
(Role players block disappears at about 1:00 AM.)
draco walked through the front door carrying a plastic bag full of
fruit.
''morning skye'' he said, a smug grin crossing his face as he went
to the kitchen.
maxwell was in the kitchen cooking breakfast for everyone, as
usual.
his wolf shadow was curled up in the corner of the living room,
enjoying the shadowy corner.
jack was in his room snoring quietly.
alex was sleeping in a room that she had all to herself, and was
just out like a light.
She looked at her, her back straightening and her eyes lighting up
urgently. "We're leaving?" She said, brushing Brandon's hand off
her shoulder. "It's warmer now. You promised." She added almost
challenging-like.
draco walked back out of the kitchen and leaned against the wall
with his arm's crossed.
''chill skye... can't we stay for a bit longer? since this is my
safe house after all....'' he muttered.
"I am calm." She replied flatly, her insistence slightly faltering.
"And no, we can't. I'd lose my sanity, and so would Brandon and
whats-his-face." She replied, pointing over to the sleeping two.
She plucked off an apple from the stalk of berries that Robin had
grown in his sleep, and took a large bite out of the ripe red
thing. It was juicy and one of the best apples she'd ever had.
draco rolled his eye's and sighed.
''after breakfast, then we leave'' he promised, heading back to the
kitchen to help maxwell.
shadow stretched and let out a bit yawn, looking over at skye in
curiosity.
Skye's mix-matched eyes rolled, and dully she gaze at the wolf.
"No, I'm not evil. Unless you want me to be." She grumbled, knowing
the wolf had only come due to her aura of Dark Fantasy. She picked
a blueberry off of Robin's berry stalk and tossed it to the wolf.
Quietly Skye took another munch out of the apple and turned away.
shadow sniffed the berry and huffed, using his nose to roll it away
from him.
the wolf got up and stretched out fully, then went to the kitchen
to see what he could get from maxwell for his own breakfast.
alex came out of her room and yawned, walking out into the living
room.
but all she did was lay down on the other sofa and was soon fast
asleep again.
Skye chuckled lightly, and Robin shifted. The plant did, too, and
slammed into her ankles, making her fall on the ground with a
crash. Brandon woke up with a start and fell onto Robin, making the
plant explode in surprise and orange juice squirt onto the
three. And it all began with a chuckle, Skye thought grimly, pulp
and juice sprinkled across her. Robin dully pushed Brandon off with
a surprise scowl, the look of his face making Skye laugh.
alex woke up and glared at them drowsily.
''keep... it.... down.....'' she grumbled, slowly falling back
asleep.
maxwell, draco, and shadow all walked out of the kitchen to see
what happened.
''do we even want to know...?'' maxwell asked.
Skye glanced at Robin. He looked back at her, but avoided her
crimson-red eye--most people did. "Got anything to pack before we
leave?" She asked. He nodded, and his hand reached under the couch
to grab his weapons. He then strapped the weapons (they had strings
to them) to his back and looked back at her. "Not anymore." He
murmured. Very swiftly, without touching the girl's face, Skye
picked up an orange pulp and took it off of Alex's face.
