Maxwell went over to the stove and shooed Skye away and looked into the pot, raising an eyebrow before he looked over his shoulder at Marshal, a bit irritated all of a sudden.
''would it have killed you to of at least washed and chopped the vegetables up?'' he questioned, looking back over as he grabbed all of the unchopped veggies from the pot before anyone started cooking and took them and the pot over to the sink to clean both the metal cooking dish and the veggies before hand.
Draco watched his brother and put his hand over his mouth as he grinned, chuckling quietly.

soon enough the bathroom door open and Justin walked out still drying his hair and changed into a pair of night clothes he had packed up, which were a pair of night pants with a galaxy design on them whereas his shirt had a mix of the night sky and a galaxy touch to it.
''tch.... you know, you guy's don't know the meaning of speaking quietly, i heard you guy's talking, even when i was in the freaking shower with the water running.... and for the record on that earlier comment i caught before i hopped into the shower, i do not like being used, so whoever had that little idea about using me like a toy would result in a broken limb for you Jasper, or simply a smack across the back of the head for the girl's'' he said.
he walked in there and sat in and empty chair, setting the towel down beside the chair as he leaned back and crossed his arm's.
''as for me staying here.... i will stay for a while until i can figure a way back home, but i will not just be a free loader, i will help around the house with cleaning, laundry, and cooking, and occasionally help with the shopping....'' Justin muttered.

"Well we didn't quite grow them in the dirt but--oh, are you going to still...? Okay then," Marshall murmured, a bit flustered. Out of the politeness in his heart, he spoke in a tone that was far too low for anyone to hear and didn't stop Maxwell to explain that Robin grew all of his plants out of the ground because his powers didn't quite include anything dirt-related. They all looked over their shoulders at Maxwell, as if they were going to tell him, in silence.
"Robin, uh... he sort of works with his plants via water... and sprouts...? I mean, he grows his carrots on a tree because he can't send nutrients through dirt...?" Skye murmured, coughing a bit.

Jasper's eyes were alight--in that cold and calculating manner of his--and locked on Justin. Belle simply burst, throwing her head back in a manner that suggested she wasn't even trying to keep hold of her laugh. It was a wispy, dreamy laugh that reminded Dawn of Fallow.
She caught sight of the weather fantasy and clenched her jaw. "Jasper!" She hissed, knowing the look on his face. He blinked out of it, turning to her with a mockingly unknowing expression. "What?" He murmured, running a hand through his hair.
Dawn sighed and turned to him, rubbing her temples. "Look, Justin. We're making no effort to keep anything from you because we don't want to. We're keeping ourselves open--well, Jasper's as open as he gets--because we don't really have anything to hide. And if you heard our conversation you'd know that we're not trying to manipulate you."

''just leave him be guy's, once he starts his little process he ignores everything except cooking itself'' Draco said.
Alex went over and buttoned up his shirt the rest of the way, humming quietly to herself.
he blushed faintly and looked down at her.
''hey no fair, your being cute'' he said, pouting as he pulled her into a hug.
she blushed and huffed, lightly hitting him in the chest.
''oi, if you guys are going to start kissing go to your rooms or something, no making out in the kitchen'' Maxwell said, which caused Alex and Draco both to blush brightly out of embarrassment.

The others silently thanked Maxwell for being the one that said something. Fallow and Robin burst through the door, holding large baskets of different kinds of beans. Fallow snatched a separate basket off of the counter, in which she began to prepare the string beans. Since Maxwell had kicked her out of her spot, Skye walked over to Robin and set the basket in a free spot. "How's it working out?" She asked, leaning against the wall.
He replied with a smile and a bashful shrug, "Just fine. The little farm area that we prepared might not be big enough. Honestly, we could just find a bunch of trees and grow stuff on them. We'd have to alter some of the vegetables and plants in terms of growth but it's easier that way. Since most of us don't have control over anything under the grass."

Draco and Alex soon enough had left the kitchen and went off to be alone, both of them still being rather embarrassed.

Maxwell glanced over as he finished rinsing the pot out and the veggies that were in the bot out and looked at the string beans that Fallow was about to prepare.
''we could bake those and made like a sort of veggie straw or whatever with those, they're actually quite tasty and sweet with the right ingredients'' he said, putting the pot back on the stove before he started to chop up the veggies he had just washed.

''and yet you all started to talked about it after i left the room, that's basically the equivalent of talking behind somebodies back in my opinion...'' Justin grumbled.

"Well it's not like we're on a shortage of ingredients," Fallow said, humming as she prepared them. "I'm not too experienced in cooking, anyways," she added for good measure, tossing another green bean in the basket.

"Jasper, I know that look. Quit it! I can't believe you," she snapped at him. He only shrugged and sunk back into his seat. She huffed, turning back to Justin with the frustration suddenly drained out of her face. "Well, we were. I'm sorry that we don't play very nice. But I suppose now you know that we're not trying to kill you," she said, turning and glaring at Jasper. She said this in a manner that suggested she wasn't even trying to defend herself. Jasper leaped off of the couch, walking over to the door. "I'm off to bed," he said happily, waving a bit as he exited the house to go to Cedar. Dawn sighed, putting a hand to her forehead. Belle was now silent, using her fist to support her chin bored-like.

''well, for starters you could put them in a strainer that they can't fall out of and run them under semi-cold water while lightly shaking them'' he suggested, not in the same manner he did when he snapped at his brother and Alex or with how he shooed Skye away from the stove, he was kinder then that, especially with Fallow.

Justin shifted in the chair and leaned forward, rubbing the back of his neck as he stared at the floor.
''look i don't mean to be so snippy or hostile.... i've.. just not had the best life back at home before i found out i had these powers.....'' he muttered.

It only took a few more seconds for everyone (except Fallow) to conclude that they would just be a hassle. Skye and Robin went to the downstairs floor together, whereas Mavis went into the bathroom. Marshall went out on the roof to eat his citrus fruits alone.

Belle paused, not sure whether or not to trust his words. "That might just be why you're here, Justin." She said, taking a moment to think about what she was just about to say. "Jasper is cruel, I can easily admit, but he's logical. He's a bit hard to live with, but he certainly isn't a waste of time... He's incredibly fixated on his goal and it gets the best of him sometimes. But we're all here because we made some sort of mistake." She puffed out her cheeks in thought. "Look, I'm not too good with words, but what I'm trying to say is that... with us, your features are what makes you valuable. Especially your flaws."

Viola was near a nearby tree in sight of the house and was gently running her finger's along the bark, seeming to be talking to herself as she sat there beside it.

Justin looked at Belle and his gaze was unreadable, aside from a small hint of a mix between a hidden pain and sorrow.
he straightened and grabbed his night shirt, bringing it up a bit to reveal a bunch burn marks clustered together that had been left by what looked like a random shaped multiple times over each one.
''you've never had psychotic parents who threatened to end your life if you told the police about what they do and have done... being a toy for them to torture....'' he muttered, then let his shirt go before he went off to go check out the room that was mentioned, carrying his backpack with him as he gripped the arm strap rather tightly.
but he stopped just before he disappeared into the hallway and his grip loosened a bit on his backpack strap, his body seeming to relax as he chuckled.
''but i guess i joined in on they're ways once i found out about my newfound powers... and tortured them in return...... does that make me a bad person..?'' he muttered, an almost psychotic person's tone lacing his voice.

Marshall, spotting Viola in the distance, took a bite out of his lime and leaped off of the roof, a swirl of wind allowing him to float slowly down. He landed on a low branch on the tree that Viola sat by, swinging so that he hung off the tree upside-down. "Hello," he said happily.

Belle turned her face away from Justin. "Yes. It makes you a terrible person. And that's exactly why you're here." Dawn watched in silence as Justin went into his room, and when he did Belle realized that she was smiling.

Viola jumped and blinked as she looked up, staring up at Marshall.
''h-hey'' she stammered, her face a bit red.

once he finally disappeared into the bedroom he simply closed the door behind him and locked it, then went and said down on the bed.
he slapped himself a couple times and shook his head, blinking a bit.
''i'm such an idiot....'' he grumbled, covering his face as he fell back on the bed.

Marshall blinked, his eyes suddenly widened. He dropped, the wind swirling around him and turning him upright so that he landed softly on the ground, his legs crossed. "Did I scare you?" He asked, genuinely concerned.

Belle stared at the door, her cheeks a bit pink. "He locked the door," she murmured, a little less annoyed than usual. Dawn only sighed. "Yeah. You can sleep in the loft if you want. The bed's rather large... unless you want to pick the lock and try to silently sneak into the bunk bed."
Belle shook her head, her gaze still flitting to the door. "No, I think I'll just leave him be," she murmured, standing up and grabbing her bag so that she could shower.

He shrugged, "Well, Maxwell did kick everyone except Fallow out of the kitchen. So I guess I'm here now." He dug in his pack for a citrus. "Tangerine?" He said, holding it flat in his palm.

Marshall shrugged. "To be fair, he's the only one that actually knows what he's doing." He leaned against the back of the tree, his arm over his eyes. "All the rest of us have been too busy to learn, I suppose... how did you end up here, anyway?" He asked, peeking under his arm at Viola.

Marshall, being the terrible people-reader that he was, took the final bite out of his citrus and looked at Viola. "Yeah, well, I know that. I meant... before that. It's occurred to me that we don't know too much about your backstory... or mine, either, but I suppose that's because nobody asked. I'm not calling you suspicious, though. You don't have to say anything if you don't want to... I was just wondering." He idly made little mini-tornadoes in his hands, twirling them around his fingers.

His face softened a bit as he rotated his wrists. The wind in front of him twisted in serpentine coils, rushing fast enough to ruffle his hair a little bit. He sat in silence, not quite sure what else to say.
