I think drawing fusions must be much better than drawing normal Pokemon, I mean, it's just different xD
Do you know about this page that lets you randomly fuse any two pokemon from first gen? It's so popular on a Spanish videogame funny stuff web. There are many strange ones xD

Actually some people used it as base to make some awesome or funny fusions. Like these - One day I'll try to do something like that xD I'm sure that you can inspire yourself with that, Toothie .3. fusions are awesome.

Hehe, and one I tried drawing a Zubat + Charmeleon fusion which I randomly got on the site. But I don't know where the drawing is now :P

I don't normally look into the spriting forum lol.
I made a sprite of this fusion a few years ago, and I so happened to find it in my folders and decided to draw a fusion lol.

Just something I quickly did on SAI.
But guess what? No curve tool, or linework layer was used here. Just the amazing water brush, my hand, and a mouse. :b
