"Okay.." Serenity said, following Phoenix. Suddenly she let out a shrill scream and was frozen in her tracks, unable to move no matter how hard she tried, so she looked like a statue.

An evil laugh came from the bushes near by as a dark shadow drifted out. It was black as night, it's eyes were a glowing red, and it floated about 5 feet off the ground. "Scared little Vibrava?" It said in a ghostly voice as it drifted towards Phoenix.

Phoenix responded by creating a small sandstorm around herself. "Who are you?! And what did you do to Serenity?!" She growled a bit, hovering as well.

"I," the shadow said, coming into the light, "am the fabled red Mismagius! A special pokémon such as yourself should know who I am!" She exclaimed, pausing for a moment and then resuming. "As for your friend, she's been frozen in time and her energy is being drained." She said with an evil grin.

Phoenix answered by attacking with Moon Blast, knowing it would hit when she was distracted. Then she went into the tree branches, hideing.

The Moon Blast hit, but didn't appear to have much effect. Mismagius then flew up into the air and used Perish Song.

Phoenix used sandstorm to drown it out and then dove to the ground, using dig.

Phoenix burst out of the ground just as she was attacking where Phoenix went in, and used Bite on her.

Mismagius whirled around in shock. "Hm, you're not as weak as I expected.." She sge said, shrugging her shoulders. She then used Hyper Voice.

Phoenix couldn't dodge in time and took the full hit, getting slammed into a tree and sliding down stunned. She shook her head and looked back up at the Mismagius and started a sandstorm over the battle area, disappearing within it.

Mismagius coughed as the sand hit her. She then flew up into the air and her cold voice echoed," you may have won this time, but you won't win again..." And with that, she vanished. Serenity then unfroze and fell over onto the ground, unconscious.

The sandstorm disapated, revealing Phoenix already next to Serenity. She looked at her worriedly, then looked around. She remembered the lake and figured that there would be berries near there. "Don't worry Serenity..." Phoenix said, looking around again. "I'm still here..."

A couple of hours later. Serenity blinked a couple of times and then shot up, an alert expression on her face. She then let out a breath of relief. "Phew... It's gone.."
