Sean shook his head in amusement as Blix presented her captain's badge, seemingly very fond of the shiny piece of silver. The young man held up his hands in a gesture of surrender.

"Alright alright, I believe you kiddo."

At the mention of Eric and his temporary position as guard, Sean's smile dropped as he remembered the rough morning wake up he had received. However, the male just shrugged his shoulders as he replied nonchalantly.

"Yeah, poor Eric fell sick and since I'm such an exceptional guard among other things, they asked me to fill in for him for the day."

Blix poked her head out of the window, a speck of movement catching her eye.
She smiled, turning to Jones.
"Say, have you ever had horde patrol before?"

Sean peeked outside of the window above Blix's shoulder, wondering what had caught the girl's attention. Squinting his tired eyes, the young man leaned slightly closer to get a better look, something was indeed moving in the shadows of the forest but before Sean could take a better look, Blix turned back around and the male took a step back to give her a bit more space.

"Say, have you ever had horde patrol before?"

The young man cocked his head at the question. So it was a horde the female had spotted, she had good eyes.

"Yeah, I've had lots of things."

Which was true. After all, he was the town's handyman.

"Good, you have experience. I hate it when newbies get themselves killed."
Blix cupped her hands around her mouth and shouted down to one of the guards below.
"Mattie, there's a small horde a bit to the left!"
She turned to Jones.
"Hey, I'm gonna go help kill that horde. Cya 'round!"
Blix proceeded to exit the tower and head to the gates, pulling out her twin pistols. She clambered up a tree, waiting for the horde to emerge from the forest. When the zombies finally stumbled into her view, she saw that there were about 20 of them, a fairly average horde.
"There's 'bout twenty of 'em!" She shouted to the guards at the gate, shooting one under her tree branch in the head.
