Like it was said - Premium users have a lot of advantage as it is right now - Faster hunts, chain doesn't break, higher chance of finding shinies, event passes, banner etc. plus tax isn't really that high in the first place. I mean it's not like you lose a ton of pd when you gift someone pd and you have to bay a little bit of tax along with it.
