"Don't get yourself into trouble, dear.." His grandmother's voice echoed in his head.

Eyes locked to the black sky, Caelan stared at the stars. The wind blew softly on the open field, rustling the grass around the gijinka. From a distance, he could a couple of bells ring, as some of the Miltank switched positions in their sleep. He sighed in relaxation right before stretching his arms that used to be right under his head. The Tyranitar gijinka sat up and looked around. Everything seems to be clear. There were no Houndour or Houndoom in sight, which was his foster grandparents' concern. They would often snatch a baby Miltank here and there, or steal one of their Chansey's eggs.. Of course, he did everything he could to protect his new home and now with his help, the couple was now able to raise more pokemon for their farm. As the Tyranitar gijinka stood up from his place, he walked around to scout the fields, eventually passing by a herd of Mareep who were peacefully sleeping. He couldn's help but smile. Truth be told, he preferred to live as a shepherd and farmer than anything else. It saves him a lot of trouble, which he currently avoids as much as possible. Sadly, even though battling in the arenas wound his conscience from time to time, he still couldn't help but attend to it sometimes as financial problems still occur. Betting and battling is the surest, fastest way to earn a nice amount of money overnight. How will he help his new family without battling if he chose to quit completely?

The thought bugged the gijinka. He did not want to hurt anyone, but at the same time, he also wanted to fully support his foster family. They are the most important people in his life.

Caelan looked down, his eyes tinted with sadness. Though he heard a small rumor about a place existing somewhere that is a home for both humans and gijinkas in peaceful harmony, the thought of moving seems like an expensive and unpractical thing for him. They are doing well in this city, cruel as it is to him, and Caelan is not in the position to risk all the hard work his foster grandparents dedicated to that farm. It's not entirely easy to plant all those crops within a short span of time for it to be able to give them enough supplies.. And the big trees took them more than a year to grow.

Caelan entered the dirt path and closed the farm gate behind him. Nearby, he gently shook the nape of a sleeping Arcanine just outside its doghouse. "Hey buddy.. It's time for your shift.." Hearing a soft yawn from the fire pokemon, he watched him stretch a bit before getting up on all fours. The Arcanine gave Caelan a small nudge on the chest as a small greeting. The gijinka hugged the fire pokemon in return. Well, at least the Pokemon are nice to him. Bidding the Arcanine good bye, he watched him take his post and guard the herds. It was then Caelan proceeded his way to the city. Perhaps a stroll would soothe his bothered nerves like as it always had. Strolling at night was good for him anyway, as there were not a lot of humans around and it was dark.

Drew was frustrated.
If I were still a human, then this wouldn't have happened.
Thoughts like that occurred to him a lot, and it never helped.
So he decided to try to do something that might help.
Maybe I could try using an attack to get myself out of this...
"Night Slash!"
He cut the branch with his horn, freeing himself, and then trapping himself again, because the branch fell on him.
Well, that was a short-lived victory.
Now he was on the ground, a branch on top of him. Needless to say, he was annoyed.
This is what happens when I try to solve my problems! I should've just stayed where I was. I guess that applies to my whole life...
(Sorry again for this post being short.)

With his hands behind him, the Tyranitar gijinka strolled through the dirt road, passing by dim-lit houses that were once so joyful in the morning. Everything changes from midnight onward as what used to be the busy street died down in deep slumber. Beneath him, he could hear the crunching of pebbles on his feet as he took careful steps ahead, and his armored skin somewhat felt the coolness of the breeze. Finally, a smile formed on his lips. Tonight is the night that he should let his guard down, because for once, nobody was there to bother him. Oh, he could very well remember how the little brats threw water balloons at him during the day just for the sake of poking fun at him... Sure it did not really hurt him that much compared to massive Hydro Pumps he would often receive during battles, but that small sting that inflicted him sure got to his nerves. It was until he summoned a sandstorm did he scare the little ones away, of course without them having to escape with no scratches from the powerful storm. Yes, he would let out things that are uncalled for, but at least he tries to tone it down.

But that doesn't mean it doesn't tick him off though.

Twitching as he stopped in his tracks, he could hear the Tyranitar in him growl in annoyance. Something was off tonight. It was not danger that he sensed, but just something that annoyed him. How dare something ruin his moment of peace and quiet right? With that, Caelan huffed in an attempt to understand why he felt this way. Could it be the cold breeze that sent goosebumps all over his spine? Not really. Was it the hooting of the Noctowls? Nope. How about the rustling of leaves?

Yes, that must be it. Something was rustling somewhere and it did not sound normal. Boy, the Tyranitar inside Caelan hated things that were out of place. What more could he do but to head towards the source of the noise, denying the fact that he was as curious as a Skitty as well? It was then he saw what seemed to look like an Absol gijinka, helplessly tangled by what used to be a low hanging branch. With an eye twitching, he watched Drew struggle in an attempt to free himself from that harmless tree. Though the Tyranitar gijinka stood quiet in front of the other male, his brain rushed pages of insults directed at what he saw as idiocracy on the Absol's part.

"Dialga almighty, you have a horn! For Arceus' sake, use it!" He rudely said aloud, with his palm meeting his forehead in exasperation. The kid... Embarrassed him. Who with a horn like that gets stuck on a branch and not able to use it? Caelan stood there for a while, giving the young lad a few seconds more to redeem himself but when he though that all seemed lost, he stomped his way forward and lifted the branch with one hand, and used the other to tear Drew away from the leafy, tangled mess. As he lifted the Absol gijinka by the collar of his shirt, Caelan was able to see how small he was compared to him. It was not really like him to size other people up and mock their features but being a Tyranitar now, well... He just silently did.

Caelan blinked twice as he observed the other gijinka. It was then he found that Drew did not interest him much (probably because of his size) and concluded that he should probably just leave him alone. Caelan released his grip on the boy, purposely letting him fall on the floor. He then swiftly turned and walked away from the other gijinka. Anyway, he wasn't the type who picks up little kids in the dark of the night. That would be too... weird.. And besides, he's a gijinka, he could fend for himself.

.. But then again, seeing how Drew struggled against that branch made him think otherwise. Oh why does his conscience have to get in the way now? Caelan stopped in his tracks. He looked back, as if expecting at least something from the younger gijinka.

Drew stood up, gazing blankly at the Tyranitar gijinka.
What just happened? He thought, though he knew the answer. Someone just helped you out. You should thank him. Drew paused, not knowing what to say.
Was there ever a time in my life when words came easily? He doubted it.
Come on! You have to say something! He'd been on his own for so long, he had a tendency to mentally yell at himself when he was getting on his nerves. Finally, with his usual moment of hesitation, he walked calmly(actually, more like feigned calm,) up to Caelan.
"Err... Th-thank you." He said quietly, his voice shaking more than he'd expected.
Seriously? You couldn't keep your voice steady to say two words? He thought, frustrated with himself.
Panic shot through him like lightning for seemingly no reason, and then he remembered. Something was going to go wrong, though he had no idea who or what it had to do with.

Did he just stutter? Caelan thought to himself. He just stood there for a while, deciding what to do next to this kid beside him. He never really had a gijinka friend before, as he always encounter them face-on only in arenas. This somewhat weighed him down with guilt. If he keep his distance from him, then he could still battle. If not, then his conscience will keep bugging him to set a good example. It was difficult, as he has financial problems.

But of course, he couldn't just leave the young lad here alone, right? He should at least do something about it.

The Tyranitar looked ahead and placed his hands on his waist (after realizing that he had no pockets to stuff his hands in). Caelan cleared his throat a little.

"You be careful next time," He could only say firmly. Nope, he couldn't bring himself to soften up completely to Drew, at least not yet. Fellow gijinkas always get him into trouble, no matter how nice he treats them. Caelan continued. "And get yourself home. It's not safe out here." Of course, Caelan knew that there is a high change that Drew doesn't have a place to stay as he too had a difficult time just coexisting with the humans. He really didn't know why he had to say that.

Drew stood there for a moment, then gave a slight nod.
"Y-yes, sir." He said quietly, then walked off.

What now? He wondered. He looked up at the night sky, his green eyes clouded with uncertainty. Looking back down in front of him, he kept walking, alert for any sign of danger, and flinching at every sound.

Drew was far from being calm in the slightest, and let out a small yelp when a Noctowl flew overhead. I'm such a coward, he thought, Startled by a bird Pokémon.

A cold breeze blew in his direction, and he shivered slightly.

The Tyranitar gijinka felt his feet move as he turned around and began walking. What are you doing, Caelan? He mentally scolded himself as he sighed heavily. Surely, he really couldn't get off his weakness with children. Though he is obviously male, his nurturing instincts couldn't help but kick in. Perhaps it was because of his longing for his real family. After all, he have always wanted to have a little brother and tonight, he somehow saw himself in Drew back when he was younger. Caelan knew he would not be able to leave him alone like this. Maybe he could be a little bit nice tonight for a change?

The Tyranitar gijinka quickened his pace until he was walking beside the younger male. It was then he noticed how startled he got after a Noctowl flew by all of a sudden. It was strange to see an Absol react like that.

"Need a walk home?" He inquired casually still without looking at the boy. Deep down, he convinced himself that he needed a stroll tonight anyway, and that was the reason why he left the farm just like how he usually does every night.

Looking around, he wondered where this boy will lead him. He had also wondered about the kind of place he stays in. Does he have any? If so, then he must be lucky, as it is quite difficult to find a place to stay if one is a gijinka. Perhaps he lives in that rumored town where humans and gijinkas coexist.. If that is the case, then he would end up asking him a lot of questions. In the meantime, he is on the lookout for potential dangers along the way. But why is it that he thinks he is forgetting something? Oh, right..

"What's.. Your name?" He paused for a while, asking himself if it was okay to ask that given the situation right now. He just hoped Drew did not see him as a threat or something. Caelan wasn't the type who would hurt young ones unless attacked, even in arenas.

Drew glanced at Caelan. He hadn't expected to see the Tyranitar gijinka again, but was somehow not startled in the slightest.
"Er... My name's Drew." He answered. For the first time in years, he was letting his guard down. Very rarely did he meet anyone who he trusted enough to go any further than saying his name. But then, he usually avoided everyone.

"What's your name?" He dared to ask. He was letting his hostility fade, and taking a step towards the possibility of... Friendship.

Drew was aware of the risks of letting his guard down, which was the reason it was there in the first place, but despite that, he felt no fear. Only the smallest ray of hope.
It must be possible to trust without getting hurt... right?

Seeing how smoothly this is going so far, Caelan tried to hide a grin which then resulted into a small smile. Truth be told, he is happy to be able to talk to a gijinka casually than to see them in the battlefield. This was something different, and boy his interests to go back to battling began to dwindle to zero. Of course, he could still sense the uncertainty on the boy - he IS a huge Tyranitar after all, and meeting one at night would prove to be a bit.. scary.. Despite that, Caelan tried his hardest to be as accomodating as he could. Perhaps today is the day that he would finally overcome his insolent Tyranitar nature. Though he knew that Drew still hasn't given him a lot of trust tonight, he was relieved to see that he is not as jumpy around him as before. That should be a plus.

When the young lad answered his question, Caelan only glanced at him and nod a little. He answered his question in return.

"Caelan. Pleased to meet you, Drew." He looked ahead. Now what? Is he permitted now to ask further questions? It has been a while since he befriended someone..

"So..." He started, with a hand reaching up to ruffle his green hair at the back of his head. Caelan continued. "Where are we headed at?" Of course it was out of pure curiosity. He also wanted to know if he was alone, if he is working, and so on.. He couldn't help but become a bit overexcited with what is happening right now, too. Back when he was human, he loved making friends.

Sadly with how difficult it is in this kind of form, Caelan missed that feeling of being with those whom you trust.

Drew had always struggled with making friends, but it seemed like everything was going okay so far. He was finally getting over his shyness, at least towards Caelan, the one individual he felt as though he could trust.

But as a wanderer, he was unsure on how to answer the Tyranitar gijinka's question. "Er... I'm not sure. I actually just got here a few hours ago." He responded cautiously.

Drew was unsure of what might happen next, which worried him, but then, he didn't usually know what may happen next in his life. All he knew was what was happening at that point in time, something that had always bothered him.

Saria took a deep breath. "It's basically a place where gijinkas and humans live together in harmony, and it's a secret to everybody. Well, I guess everybody except those who live there. Like me." She puffed up her chest proudly. "I'm a messenger, and I'm kinda like the equivalent of an elite team, if you know what I mean. My assignment is to be a guide to trustworthy humans or gijinkas who want to find a better place. But sometimes I get stuck with boring stuff like helping bring in supplies... Anyways, I could show you what it's like, if you want. And I'm like, the best person ever for the job! Because guess what, my mentor was the one who made the messenger branch! Pretty cool, huh?" Saria bounced up and down. Once she got going on talking about something she was passionate about, it was hard to stop her.

"Yeah, there aren't very many of us messengers right now, because you have to have certain skills, so you're pretty lucky to run into us. You know, if I had to guess on how many of us there are, I'd say about...twenty? I don't know, the number changes every day. Sometimes 'cause of new recruits, but sometimes it's because one of us quits or gets caught."

(Sorry she talks so much...she just seems like a talkative person.)

The girl just went on talking and Jared had barely caught half of it. He hadn't talked half a word to anyone for god knows how long so the sudden burst of speech from the girl was a bit overwhelming. What he had managed to understand was that there was this some kind of secret paradise and a few messengers brought people there and the girl was good at her job because some cool guy taught her. It was all a bit confusing but it didn't sound too bad compared to his life now.

"I..." Jared's reply was cut short as he couldn't bring himself to say those words. He wanted to check the place out, at least it couldn't hurt, right? However, something was holding him back. He simply couldn't go with her, he didn't deserve to live in that magical heaven for gijinkas or whatever it was. If the girl knew what he had done and what he was doing, she wouldn't be asking him to go with her. Criminals like him deserved to live here, being despised by everyone. It was his punishment. "I can't go to that secret happy gijinka land of yours so you just gotta find someone else you can show it to." He felt bad for refusing her offer, she seemed so excited about it, but it couldn't be helped.

(It's fine, it actually makes her quite adorable. XD)

Shadras (me) and Lucy (Celestial) are inside a small diner, Lucy just spilled water everywhere trying to do a bar trick for Shadras. Jared (Finhawk) and Saria (me again) are outside, and Saria just finished telling him about the Underground, where the humans and gijinkas live together peacefully. Caelan (Sadimastika) and Drew (Moonlight) are also on the street having a little chat, kind of opening up to each other.

Pheeeew! I hope I didn't leave anything too important out, feel free to add anything.)

((Gaaah sorry for the late reply! I was having trouble signing in :( Glad the server's working now though..))

"You're kidding, right?" That was the first reaction Caelan made toward Drew's answer. If they boy just got here, then how and where is he going to crash in for the night? Surely it would be a bit risky for him even though he is a gijinka. Caelan, even as a full grown Tyranitar had trouble staying in one place every night - that is until he was taken in by his foster family.

That made him wonder... Would they mind? After all, they seem to be nice to gijinkas..

Caelan then looked down. He is starting to get a bit nervous now, as he did not know how he should offer it to Drew. Of course, they just met, but wouldn't it be too weird for him to offer a place to stay for a young boy lost in the night? Really now, it looked like an impending crime scene. Of course, the young man had no intentions of that whatsoever. He just wanted a friend, or a brother even.

The thought saddened him. There goes his memory of his old family, seeping through his mind again. When will he even get over it? It's been twelve years!

Caelan took a deep breath, readying himself."You know, my grandparents wouldn't mind having you as our guest.." He exhaled, letting the stress out. He continued, "Would you like to join us?" Smiling gently, he hoped he sounded okay.

Drew glanced at the older gijinka.
"Really?" He hadn't ever been offered a place to stay before, at least not that he could remember. Usually he either avoided or was avoided by everyone.

Drew could remember every time he'd ever been hurt, betrayed, or otherwise treated cruelly before, but he couldn't remember anyone ever being nice to him.
Until tonight.

"Sure." Kindness was rare, and Drew had to sleep somewhere at some point. He smiled. It is possible to trust without getting hurt.

Seeing the boy's reactions once more, this made the Tyranitar gijinka smile widely. He nodded. "Yeap! They took me in a few years back. I have never been this pampered since. Hahaha!" By pampered, he meant made to work for them. He always saw these things as wonderful opportunities for him. He was just excited that Drew might get a chance as well.

Caelan turned around and motioned for Drew to follow. "Grandma makes some great Sitrus berry stew. I know it sounds weird to turn these fruits into stew, but trust me, it is really good!" Stopping for a while, he glanced at Drew. "... That is except of course if you don't like sour things.. But nonetheless, they're still good cooks." He said softly, realizing that not a lot of people liked his taste. For some strange reason now, he felt like a child again. Maybe it's because it has been a while since he had a decent conversation with anyone other than the people he's with at home. As a matter of fact, he still doesn't feel like his age, even.

(OOC: Oh my gosh I'm so sorry for taking forever to post! *Bangs head on keyboard* And now I have to backspace some stuff.)
"Hm" Drew's simple, quiet response could've meant anything. He found himself remembering his past, although he'd been so young when he'd ran away that he couldn't remember what his life was like as a human, or what had urged him to leave in the first place.
Will I ever remember? Or will I ever forget? He was often confused by his own thoughts.

Maybe I should just ignore the past, and focus on now. Drew thought, his thoughts making sense for once. His green eyes flickered as he tried to focus on not tripping over anything, if only to keep from thinking about his past.
The past is the past, He thought, The past is over now, so move on. He was actually making sense to himself for once.
(OOC again: Sorry if this post is short. My mind was blank, and I just typed the first thing that came into my head. Sorry.)

OOC: Yay! another Semi-lit RP >_< Before I start on ahead, I need to clear who will be 'Argonaut' He is just a very minor character who will appear one or maybe even two times in this post :3 He is a pet pokemon(Growlithe) that belongs to Sapphire and Lucifer...

The fresh mountain air bristled against the trees and made them sway side-ways. Pokemon of different types either chirped or ran along between the stumps and shrubs in the forest, enjoying the pleasures of the free non-polluted life, the life where there are no worries of being discriminated and criticized by another, where there were no hesitations on how to live life, every thing was moving at it's own pace and there was perfect harmony between both people and pokemon living it. There was nothing that threatened the forest nor the mountains, it was either guarded by pokemon or some very noble and generous people who were adamant in their opinions on how the forest should be 'Trouble-free'.

In the center of this harmonious place was the residence belonging to one of the very first lab-made gijinka's, it belonged to a couple who chose to live away from the havoc and disturbance of the rough city life. They were happy with how they were living, they had each other and that was all that they longed for, well atleast one of them did. Lucifer Xavier and Sapphire Storms, the perfect example of a steady relationship, had just retired from the walk in the forest and were having a discussion regarding the construction of a movie shoot that is to be held in this forest. Lucifer was stubborn with his beliefs that all men are cursed with greed and that no one was good enough for anything while Sapphire had her own opinion on how the outside world really was, confused, adventurous and well heaven if we put it in simple words.

Sapphire's POV
Lucifer was just being one of the typical lonely and dark type guys, I had a feeling he'll go emo after seeing that brochure. I wouldn't blame him for being this way though, he has a right to blame that most of his sorrows and difficulties were caused by men with their twisted and vile way's, but who are we to judge all of humanity by the actions of a few? He was muttering something inaudible, which made me smile and sigh, why was he acting so childish? It is because he is too short-tempered and impatient to accept the fact that I am right and he is wrong.

I put my hand on his shoulder and smiled slighty before saying, Look sweety, I know your upset but that doesn't mean you ruin your whole day just because of that one memory, okay? I know he took it nicely because he let out a frustrated sigh, Lucifer only does that when he needs to calm down or think about something. I smiled satisfyingly and then made my way into the kitchen to prepare lunch.

Lucifer's POV
I was wrong about most of the situation yet I couldn't help but to feel right about it, something was telling me that one day I would regret letting this matter slide down to nothing. Muttering to myself about the possibilities of how to kill a man I turned away and scratched the tuft of fur on Argonaut's head and shook my head after doing so. Sapphire was slowly humming a melodious tune to herself as she chopped something down while Argonaut just slept on his small bed.

I sighed and got up to her, I needed good advise on how to calm myself down, Sapph, I need your help...I can't think or do anything! She smiled slyly and held the minced food in her hands, this made me think, was she really going to suggest-? Well you could go down to the lake and fix your little other problem... I shook my head violently and face-palmed, I am afraid of those little sausage-tailed arm-less antenna thingies, you don't need to rub it in...

Sapphire just smiled and patted by head before implying, There is always a short walk to town you know... I smiled and nodded in agreement, Yeah...That's a good idea! the leaped into the air, being a Blaziken gijinka, I had some powerful legs which are Handy in most cases. Before going out-side, I grabbed the door frame and looked back at her, See you in an hour...Love ya! She smiled and nodded, I swear, her smiles are the best cure for a sickened heart.

((My apologies as well >.< I had been away for a while because of work, and I realized that I wasn't subscribed to this which is lame hahaha
@Blackscorpion2: Welcome to the RP!))

Caelan, upon noticing the other male's silence, toned down his excitement a bit and continued to lead the way. He still kept that smile on his face though, as he could not wait to introduce Drew to the family that took care of him. As the soft grassy ground soon transitioned into gravel, the Tyranitar gijinka looked ahead and was pleased to see the view of the farm. He saw Tala, the Arcanine, perched high and mightily on a boulder looking over the mareep who are slumbering in the fields, all clustered together for warmth. He noticed how the Arcanine's eyes were so full of focus and determination that his piercing gaze would send off any tired Murkrow from perching on the fence. Indeed this pokemon was a great guardian, or perhaps too great, as when his gaze landed on Caelan and Drew, the fire pokemon jumped off his perch and rushed towards them in great speed. Caelan's smile immediately disappeared, as he knew what Tala was about to do.

He was going to attack Drew, seeing him as an intruder of the night.

His hands in the air, Caelan called out to the Arcanine, waving his arms about in an attempt to cease the Arcanine from charging but it was too late. The next thing he knew, the large pokemon was in the air above him and landed in front the Absol gijinka, his mouth wide open with a fireball beginning to form between his sharp fangs.

"Tala! NO!" Turning around, Caelan grabbed for the Arcanine's collar and pulled the pokemon's head to the side, just in time when the flamethrower was released. The fire missed a foot away from Drew's face.

Restrained but not willing to stop intimidating the so-called intruder, Tala bared his fangs and growled at the Absol gijinka, barking and biting on the air as if he was facing the devil. Caelan tried to calm him down but the best of his efforts did not seem to soothe the flaming beast in front of him. It was then a man and woman both in their old age came out from the nearby house, curious as to what the noise was all about.

"Caelan! What is this?!" The old man called out, now approaching the fence with the old lady still waiting by the porch. Caelan looked back and smiled a little, now grunting a bit from using a lot of his strength to keep the snarling Arcanine from biting Drew's head off. He threw an apologetic glance at the younger male before answering his foster grandfather. "Sorry about that gramps, but I found someone here who is in need of food and shelter. Can we let him stay?" He asked politely, still while struggling to keep the Arcanine in his place. The old man eyed Drew in a serious manner, crossing his arms and thinking thoroughly about his decision. With how he looked so stern tonight, it showed that he was still a bit wary of the gijinka stranger. He sighed, taking note of his trust with Caelan.

"That's enough now, Tala. Come." Immediately, the Arcanine was silenced. He moved away from Drew's direction and sat beside the old man, thus earning him an appreciated pet on the head as a reward. As the struggle with the beast finally ended, Caelan sighed almost loudly. He wiped the beads of sweat on his forehead with the back of his hand. Seeing how he failed controlling the powerful pokemon that only listened to his grandfather's short command, he took note as to how Old Man Arturo used to be a great pokemon trainer back in his youth. Tala was only this obedient to him and no one else. The thought made Caelan smile once more. Before he could thank his foster grandfather, the old lady was already approaching the small group. "Is this a friend of yours, Caelan?" She sweetly inquired.

"Yes. Ma, Pops, this is Drew. I met him earlier. Don't worry, he's no trouble."
"Better not be trouble. An Absol is bad luck and Tala saw it too."
"Oh shush it Arturo dear, he's just a child! You and Tala need to loosen up a little, haha!"
"I-If you say so, Felicia.."
"We apologize for the ruckus, child. Tala here has been our sole protector for years.. Come now, let me fix you up some warm stew and hot chocolate to make up for it. Caelan, kindly set the room for our guest."
"Sure thing, Ma."

Looking back, he slung an arm around the younger gijinka. He grinned happily. "Ehehe.. Sorry about that, Drew.." He said, still feeling bad for the incident.
