Fernshade's ears perked. She'd hadn't of told Gingerleaf yet.... Then again, her friend here was a master of stealth and battle. Yet she didn't have the patience for hunting, so she and Fernshade were on the same page.
The brambles making a protected roof were hung down as if they had been crashed through. Splats of blood, gravel, and dust were trashed across the ground.
Fernshade felt a sharp pain in her stomach. Kits. she immediantly thought to herself, but she was shocked. The next thing she knew, she was curled around a broad tabby-brown tom-kit and a tortoise-shell she-kit.
A silvery tom padded up, his shoulder knocking across a vine as he arrived in the nursery. "Father!" Fernshade exclaimed as she saw the tom. However, her father was suppose to be in StarClan.
"They will arrive at a bad time," he meowed flatly and the dream had ended.
\At the crack of sunlight, Fernshade awoken, with Acornfur lapping at her head. They were the only two awake. A nightmare had struck her thoughts during the night, as Fernshade had to force herself to stop shivering.
Brushing past the thick curtain of ivy of the entrance, Acornfur leaded the she-cat out of camp.
They passed a large tree stump, bigger than any in the forest, several more trees surronded it, a river roaring in the backround. The clan's gathering area. "Isn't it full-moon?" Fernshade asked as the tom nodded.
The tom had lead her to the hills of the meadow, were the two sat down pressed to each other as they awed at the horizon. Their tails entwined as the lithe brown tom lapped at his mate's ear, as they both purred in harmony. Alone, the tom-cat broke the silence with a simple question. "So, kits-" the broad she-cat grew warm and lured him away from the conversation. "In another moon," she meowed as the brown cat nodded, and nuzzled her affectionately. Their muzzles pressed as the wind blew softly at their fur.
The silence was broken as a familiar ginger-tabby sat next to Fernshade. "Gingerleaf!" she meowed. Acornfur jerked away as his pelt grew warm. He didn't like to show affection to Fernshade in front of the ginger-tabby. "Should I go now?" Gingerleaf laughed, not waiting for a reply. "See you around, lovebirds!" she chuckled as she padded away, her fluffy tail waving behind her. Growing even warmer, Acornfur waited until Gingerleaf was out of sight until he pressed to Fernshade again. Gingerleaf is probably going to tell Nightshade where we are, Fernshade kept that thought to herself as the two pressed muzzles. The she-cat gazed at the horizon once more.
Padding down the valley, the ginger-brown tabby was lost in her marvelous daydreams. Her paws sun in shallow river waters, her bushy tail lashing behind her. Glad to have the lithe, skinny brown tom pressed to her side, she nuzzled the clumsy warriors' ear as he recovered his almost-lost balance. (And gtg, i'll edit later)
