"Well I just keep to myself mainly, no one really likes me, and
that's just because I'm different. We both saw today that humans
don't like me. You and maybe a few Caterpie like me. But that's
only because I protected them," she smiled at him, curious on what
he meant still. "Why, where do you come from that you are surprised
I survived from?" she spoke in a curious and caring tone, her body
sitting still where she was. She looked at a pidgey that flew
overhead.
The Sableye nodded to show that he understood. He thought back on
his past once more, so he could fully answer her question. Getting
away from Team Eros was the first hardest thing he had done. They
had wanted to keep him in order to help their works on other
mutations.
"Well," he began, his voice still raspy, "soon after I managed to
escape from Team Eros, there had been a few members that came out
and searched for me. They wanted to keep me for their mutations, to
keep me to fuel the fire."
He thought back once again to the first days of his life that he
spent there. He remembered seeing some of the mutations working and
helping the members on several other Pokemon mutations. "Did anyone
from Team Eros come after you?"
Confused more than ever she looked at him oddly, speaking as she
did so. "Who's Team Eros?" She hadn't ever heard of any Team Eros,
or anything like that. "Why would they be after you?" Aurabelle
moved closer the Sam, wondering if he was willing to explain or
not. She heard something at her side, a man yelling and screaming
their way. "Should we go somewhere else?" she asked Sam, not
wanting to have another scene because of ignorant humans.
Sam had become more annoyed by the humans by now. In response to
her question, he nodded. "Yes, let's get out of here. There's a
forest close to this town, and I'm sure it's going to be much more
quiet there."
The shadow-ed Pokemon got to his feet, clutching both bones in his
hands once again. He looked up at his trainer and made eye contact,
then started walking the opposite way, away from town. His trainer
understood, and followed behind, looking back at the Ninetails,
figuring that she would be coming along also.
The Sableye was walking in front of his trainer like he always did,
holding the bones close to his sides.
Walking into the forest as Sam and Renee did too, she lead them to
a clearing she had found just days before. It was untouched by
humans, as though it was not seen to their eyes, but only
Pokemon's. She looked up, the trees blocked out a wall around the
place, as though it were a hidden grotto of some sort. The sun
shown down on the small pond that was in the center of it, making
the water twinkle like a star at midnight. She smiled and looked at
Sam before running over and looking down into the water. "I've
always loved this place since I found it. I don't think many know
about it, but still. At least I can share it with you." she giggled
and smiled as she spoke, looking over her shoulder at Sam.
The Cubone and Sableye mix walked over to the Ninetails. He kept
some distance between himself and the water, afraid that he'd
accidentally drop his bones in there. The sun's rays made the water
bright, reflecting on the Pokemon's jeweled eyes, which now
sparkled. He settled down on the soft, grassy ground.
"It's nice and peaceful here," Sam remarked as he kept his gaze on
the water, "Is this where you've been staying?"
He could hear his trainer sit down against one of the trees nearby.
He was surprised that she wasn't bothered by him following this
other mutated Pokemon.
She looked at him, half smiling as she answered. "Kinda. I've been
staying between here and a ditch I dug out beneath a tree. I want
to try and preserve this place as much as possible." She looked
down at the water then sipped some up and giggled. Turning to Sam,
she spit it playfully at him. "Look! I used watergun!" she laughed.
Looking at the trainer, she noticed she looked bored.
He stared back at her, feeling the water drip down the Cubone skull
that was over his head. He took his right arm and attempted to wipe
the water off, but it barely helped. He looked a bit disappointed
at first, but seconds later, a huge grin spread across his face and
he laughed. "Nice one," he commented, following the direction in
which her gaze was going.
He looked back at his trainer, then looked back at the Ninetails.
"She looks a bit bored, don't you think? Maybe she wants to leave?"
Aurabelle nodded to him, still staring at his trainer. "Maybe we
should leave so she isn't bored." Looking at Sam, she smiled
slightly, giggling as she did so. "So where off to now on our
adventure?" She sprung up from where she sat at the water's edge,
playfully circling around him as she giggled.
