leo made the shield disappear and stood up, carrying flare as he disappeared and reappeared in her house.
he sat down on the sofa and laid flare beside him sighing.
''why did a fire have to be started at the school... trying to clear a path drained both of us..'' he muttered, sitting forward and rubbing his forehead.

he used his hoodie's sleeve to wipe some of the soot off of chloe's face and sighed.
''i'm sorry chloe... i thought you had already left the building'' he said.
shade sat down and held his hand over chloe's mouth, then made a clawing motion away from her making some of the smoke in her lung's disappear.
''there... feel better chloe..?'' he asked.

flare muttered and rubbed her head, sitting up.
''good.. your alright'' leo said smiling.
''what.. happened...?'' she asked.
he sighed.
''i brought you back home.. i didn't want you getting hurt'' he said.
she smiled and hugged him, purring quietly.
leo hugged flare back and sighed.
i wont let anyone hurt you flare... he thought to himself.
