"Yep!" Rythim nodded. She looked at the board announcing who was facing whom only to find that they where against the Clauncher and Skrelp first.

Rythim followed Ryu onto the stage as the Clauncher and Skrelp came out on the other side of the stadium.

Ryu began the battle with a Signal Beam, aiming at Skrelp. "Remember," he said, "in a double Contest, we only need to beat one of them!"

"Because of that, we can just immobilize Clauncher and focus on Skrelp!" he explained, sending a Thunder Wave to Clauncher and then using Discharge on Skrelp and Clauncher.

Ryu used a Thunderpunch attack on Skrelp, who countered with a Sludge Bomb, which burst into a purple explosion.

Clauncher remained unable to move as Skrelp sent a sudden burst of scalding-hot water from his mouth.

Ryu launched a final attack, Thunder. Skrelp appeared to be fried, and fell over to be taken away by the medical team. Clauncher ate a Lum Berry from his pocket and then followed, now able to move and no longer dizzy.

Rythim bowed before leaving the stage for the intermission between rounds. their next match was between Spritzee and swirlix.

"Its not perfume, they smell like that naturally" She said. "like theyre constantly using sweet scent or something." Rythim said. She totally hadnt read a ton about the Kalos region the second news had hit her that it had been discovered. of course not.

Ryu's tail started to glow silver, and gradually appeared to harden. He suddenly flipped and brought it down on Swirlix's head, with the Iron Tail attack being super-effective.

Rythim used Thundershock to paralyze the Spritzee. She than used Take Down on the Swirlix.
