"I've heard of them," he said, letting out a small sigh. "I... I'm not sure what to believe. I want to think that the Guardians were good, but with all the negativity around them now, such hope is easily stomped out." He paused, biting his lip. "Do you think they'll really be on the island?"
Lee hoped not. If there were no Guardians looking for recruits, he could just forget about the whole thing. Take the ferry back to town and laugh it off, wondering what he had been so nervous about. But yet, he knew his fantasy would likely be crushed. He looked over the ocean, trying to catch a glimpse of the island. Soon he would know for sure.
Title: The Vault (Beach)
It was much warmer here, considering they were living atop a mountain for who-knows-how-long, where they were living in much lower oxygen levels. Anyway, she was currently flying, not very far above ground level. Up ahead, other than the beach, were a couple of pokemon and other gijinka. Let's see, there was a Froslass, Milotic and a Flygon gijinka.
His hands felt his the sides of his arms. Rubbing them as if her were cold. "I think that The Guardians were real. I think that The true Guardians are heros. But...I think that those who just wore they title gave it a bad name. People depict them as bad, but the truth is, no one knows the truth. They said they wanted to release vile creatures on the world, but what creature could be so vile? Who are we to say the creatures ever excised? The only way to know the truth is to fine a Guardian...to find the creatures...and find the Legendary Pokemon and ask them. If a Legendary Pokemon trusts you, you must be good. There was rumor that the Legendary Pokemon helped them. We need all sides of the story from who was there. Only then can faith be restored. Only then will we know the truth. That is why I am going. To reveal the truth."

Yuki looked in the direction of Kiyomi, yet she said not a word. Snowrunt, kept working trying to help the freezing Gijinka. Due to the brightness of it all she looked directly down. It was too much. She required shade.
Once at the forest line she sat down to see how it would all play out. Again staring into the ocean. What a lovely ice ring it would make.

"Selene, I think you're ready for something."
Selene looked up as she turned her Capture Styler off. The rounded glass on top of the device flickered and dimmed, and the Styler emitted a soft whirring sound as it shut off. The Hoothoot she had just captured fluttered onto Selene's shoulder, in Beethoven's usual spot, and hooted softly. A Chatot squawked in indignation, but the Hoothoot simply turned around and glared at Beethoven with wide eyes. Unnerved by the round, unblinking circles, Beethoven settled on a nearby tree branch instead,
"Ready for what?" she asked, her heart thumping loudly in her chest. Maybe she was going to go on a Ranger Mission. Her mentor smiled down at her, the corners of his mouth turned up to make a lopsided grin. "I'm getting old, Selene. I've got grey hairs on my head no, and no energy for an adventure." Adventure... Selene shuddered at the word. Adventure meant journeys, danger, and risk. Excitement. "I would do this myself, but I'm just too... Old. I've taught you a lot, Selene. Maybe you should do this for me." The Ranger handed Selene a slightly wrinkled, yellowing paper. "Have you heard of the Guardians?" he asked gently. Selene nodded.
"Well, let me tell you what this slip of paper is..."
"I guess that even if the legend wasn't true, we're going to make it true. We're going to be Guardians!" she chirped. "The thing that's strange, though, are Gjinkas. It's hard to believe they could be real. Half Pokemon, half human? I just don't know..."
"Yeah!" Raffaellu chimed in, starting to chuckle at Kirlia. He had never seen her so excited, but at the same time, she had never seen or felt him reflect so much life. "Sorry, Kirlia is a white bipedal Pokémon that loves to dance, I mean my Kirlia. She does so when she is excited." he told them.
"The two red horns look like hairpins. These horns are used to amplify its psychokinetic power and distort the air around it. The distortion in the air causes scenery mirages. It can also use its horns to cause a rip in dimensions and see into the future. It grows beautiful when exposed to positive emotions from its Trainer. It likes to dance on sunny mornings. It is known to inhabit urban areas. Kirlia must love the positive energy you give of Selene."
Ralts, Gliscore, and Swablu.
She let her anger cool a bit before she said, "I think Gijinka's are real. I'm sure it must be cool to be part Pokemon." She turned to the new boy Lee and continued, "And the only reason the guardians got that bad reputation is because they thought the Gijinka's should have equal rights... that's what my parents told me. Everyone thought they were monsters but, that's not what I think...." She trailed off as she said that. Great, I was too mad and it all rushed out. If i wasn't suspicious before I probably am now for knowing so much about them.

Selene's words echoed in his mind. We're going to be Guardians. It was such a simple statement, but it had brought such joy to the group. Lee occupied himself with watching the two Pokemon dance across the floor, trying to share in that happiness as well, but he felt his smile grow smaller instead. It belonged to them, he realized. He could have no part in it.
Kirlia didn't seem to notice the uproar at all. She was in her own little ball, amused, and happy that Gale was trying to go along with her. She looked over her shoulder and pointed out the window. An island was coming into view. That must be it. Sanctuary Island. She ran to the window, jumping on it and taking her seat. The Pokemon crossed her legs and looked over at Gale and the humans. "Kirlia." she pointed outward excited to see their destination so close.
Raffaellu looked at Kirlia and too the island. He was awe stuck by the forest that surrounded it. It protected it, but within the island it would be teeming with life, business, and Pokemon. "We made it." he said relieved, rejoicing silently.
Ralts, Gliscore, and Swablu.

Lee closed his eyes, collecting his thoughts. You can do this. Just act natural and everything will be fine. His attempts to soothe himself sounded hollow and cliche, but yet they made him feel calmer than he had been all day. Maybe it was the fact that the island was in sight. Having gotten this far, this was nothing left for him but to do.
Then, just like that, he felt the temperature rise. He sighed happily, taking in the much needed warmth. After a while, he was finally able to feel his legs and arms again. He stood up, his balance a bit wobbly, but none worse for wear. The Murkrow flew up and perched on his shoulder, giving a quiet caw.
Euan looked up and saw that Yuki had gone over to the shade of the forest while Aqua still stood on the beach. His gaze fell to the sand. He really should apologize. Even if it came out wrong and made everything worse, he would at least know that he'd tried. Slowly, taking it step by unconfident step, he walked up to her.
"Er, sorry," he said, not able to meet her eyes. "I didn't mean to offend you or anything. I guess it just was a bit sudden and I reacted without thinking."
"Wow..." was all she could utter. The forest looked so lush, so teeming with life. Selene couldn't wait until she set foot on that island. Beethoven opened his eyes and chirped as he peered out of the clear glass to see the blue ocean reflecting the sunlight and the land and future that lay ahead of them.
Beethoven opened his eyes and stretched his wings. Following Selene's gaze, he hopped off of her shoulder and fluttered around the ferry in a blur of colorful feathers. Selene giggled as she pulled down the window, allowing the bright sunlight to stream inside. The Chatot flew out the window, soaring over the water before returning to the ferry. "Chat... Chatot!" he chirped, too overwhelmed to speak the human language at the moment. Selene could tell what he was trying to say, though.
We're here.
