Fading Light
Forum-Index → Roleplay → Pokémon RP → Fading LightYou wake up one morning. Or, do you? It's still dark outside...you check your clock. It's 9:00 AM! But...it's black as night outside...a black starless sky...
For context, you aren't a trainer...yet. The big day is in just a few months, or so you thought. Seems a certain...thing is making that day come faster....
Back to the story. You go out for the day, all your neighbors are confused, panicking, even. "Why is the light gone?" "What's going on here? Where is the sun?" You agree, it's supposed to be light out. It was supposed to be a normal summer day...plus it was fine just the day before...
As you go further out, to the restaurant area, you find the sky is blue and the sun is shining. No one suspects a thing. You start to believe you had just imagined the darkness thing. You go about your day.
But...as you come home, the sky is still black and starless around your neighborhood. You assume it's because it's late, despite the fact that it's only 7:00 PM. You walk into your house and walk into your bedroom.
It was then you blacked out
You wake up in a forest, and a voice whispers to you. "I knew this would happen..." You look around, but can't find the maker of the voice. "The darkness is spreading! Help us, chosen!" You wake up in bed, a pokeball firmly in your hands, containing a Pokemon of Legend. You are a chosen one, you will meet others, and by combining your powers, you will work to save the light. Your light, that's fading before your eyes.

Meanwhile, Snowflake was still laying down, surprised to still be in bed. Though she wasn't looking at it, she could feel the smooth, cold surface of the pokeball in her hands, the pokeball that hadn't been there before. Now, Snow had never been very superstitious, things like prophetic dreams always seemed the stuff of science fiction to her. Yet the Pokeball was real, in her hand...or was it? She pinched herself, hard. Wincing at the pain and not waking up, she shook her head. "Nope, not dreaming." She pushed herself into a sitting position and looked at the bright red, shiny capsule in her grasp. Though the surface was heat-sucking, she could feel an energy from within the Pokeball. A hot energy, in fact. A burning eternal flame. The Pokemon inside was fire type, no doubt.
Still clutching the Pokeball firmly, she slid out of bed, heading to her largest room, the living room, to release her new Pokemon. The room was as vast as her hous could get, with a high ceiling. Best thing she could hope for without walking into the void that was the outside. Honestly she had no idea what to expect. The message in the dream had been so...vague, but she knew the pokemon had to be strong...if she was supposed to save the world from darkness or whatever. "Alright, here goes..." She muttered, and rolled the sphere into one hand, and slowly pressed the button in the center, releasing her new best friend. Her new partner.
Back in Snowflake's abode, a winged dragonic goddess was emerging. In a ball of blue light that turned to a large lump of white feathers. As the creature spread its wings, revealing it's face, fiery blue eyes met with Snowflake's own. She gazed at it, awestruck. Was this...? Reshiram. Her hands trembled at the very sight of it. The dream was real! She had some sort of destiny chosen by some divine, higher power! She had to clutch the ball tighter and breath before taking a baby step closer to it. "Resh...Reshiram?" She stammered, her voice failing her.
Xerneas nodded, speaking to her individually now. "Yes. They have been instructed to seek you out as well."
Snowflake gazed at Reshiram's flowing horns and bright blue eyes and nodded, feeling small in its presence. "Of course I'll help." She clutched the pokeball, not wanting to let go. She went to the door to the outside, opening it to a pitch black sky. By now it was 7 AM, long before the sun usually came up. She returned Reshiram briefly to her pokeball and took a deep breath. "Time to find the others, right?" She whispered into the capsule. The pokeball shook up slightly, as if Reshiram inside was nodding.

Eturnatus's pokeball began to shake violently in Akine's hands, as if demanding to be opened.
Enternatus emerged from it's pokeball, it's intense gaze resting on its new trainer.
