Akira sprawled out onto the floor, she shifted into a tiger to
sleep and think about her choices. She wanted to change what she
had done in the past, she wanted to become a new person. She wished
she had known her parents more but she didn't, all she wanted right
now was to find her parents and blame them for ruining her
life.
A flies as high as he can get in the building (which isnt high,
because if it's small size and his large wings, but it should do),
then he swoops down, diving at the door with his claw, and jamming
it into place. He shifts into a human. "Okay, that should be good."
He observes it a little more, checking, and when he's satisfied, A
says: "Okay, lets just put on the bolts."
John turns back into his human form and grabs the bolts. "So how do
we put them in?" he asked. He had literally no idea. Which tool
were they supposed to use? He was confused.
A wipes his brow. "I... don't know." He laughs. "I just know that
doors need to have bolts... my old friend was always a lot better
with tools than I was..." He pauses, looking sad for a moment. "I
think they're supposed to go on the side, but I'm not sure if
there's an optimal height or distance you need between them, or
what tool to use."
Akira awoken from her sleep, she had gotten the answer, all she
needed do was keep helping and at some point she would have to be
excepted. She hopped all the way to the task board, only to realize
by the time she got there, that there were no tasks left. She
immeidiatly felt her heart hurt, she wanted to help so bad that she
didn't even listen to reality. She started to walk around town to
see what else she could do.
A looked around for help. The little weretiger caught his eye. She
wasn't a human, so she might not be great with tools either... but
A was always more comfortable talking to werecreatures like himself
than humans. "Hey!" He calls out friendily. "Please can you help us
over here?"
Akira looked at them, this was finally her chance to help someone.
She rushed over and asked. "What should I help do?" She was hoping
she wouldn't screw this up, it looked to be pretty hard. She just
wanted to prove to others that she was actually a good weretiger.
"Do you know hoe to attach the door to a wall?" he asked. He really
needed this. He thought, "Please let her know please let her know"
but didn't show it on his face. This was the one emotion that he
could hide.
"We were wondering if you knew how to put bolts on a door, y'know,
so it can open and close," A answered a little sheepishly. "We were
finishing up building this place, but we don't know how to do the
final step." A observantly notices that Akira looks a little sad...
He wasn't very good with people, or at least, wasn't used to
talking so much...
"Why yes I do, you have to attach certain things to the door and to
the wall with screws, it sort of like something that can make it
some the door to open and close, if you don't attach that than the
door will just be stuck to the wall" Akira was wondering if they
knew what she was talking about?
A nodds along, but he doesn't fully understand. He's always been
terrible with tools (and hes tried countless times, to no avail),
but he was doing his best. He always prefered solving problems with
animal forms though.
"So... can you help us attatch them, please?" A reaches out his
hand with the bolts to Akira, hoping that she would know how to
work them.
"Sure!" She took the bolts from A's hand and started attaching the
to the connector thing. She got them as tight as they possible
could go, then she made sure it was secure by trying to move it,
making sure it couldn't get lose at some point.
A looked carefully at the door, the gears whirring furiously in his
mind. He understood it a little better now. He nodded to Akira.
"Thanks!" He gave her a friendly smile. Apparently, some
werecreatures were much better with tools than he was, which A
thought was pretty cool.
Chandi still thinking carefully about which werecreature did that
quill came from, but her thoughts came to something else, "Another
day, another thoughts and ideas of which drinks the tavern should
have", Chandi said. So Chandi continue to think of new drinks for
the tavern, and she's very hopeful that it will please Valto and
the other staff members, however Chandi's mind was continued to be
on the quill that Chandi found, "I guess I will have to wait til
tomorrow then".
John says to the weretiger, "Thanks for helping." and then gave
Akira 2 pieces of silver. "For helping." and smiles, then gives A
his payment. "And your reward." he said. "I will be in the Tavern
if you guys want me for anything." he said and walks off.
A smiles. "Thank you!" The day is coming to a close, and the sun is
setting. A wanted to get one last look of the town before the day
ended. He put the coins away, and shifted into a small eagle in a
flurry of dusty brown feathers, and soared away. He would head to
the Inn soon to meet up with Loparu, but he wanted to admire the
town some more.
John gets there and orders a drink to go, then he starts walking
home as an elephant. He drinks as he walks, his elephant trunk
acting as a 3rd hand. Maybe he could practice what he secretly does
at night, trying to get better at what he does. He'll probably just
go to sleep though. He gets there, finishing his drink and falls
asleep as a human.
Akira heads back to her house with a warm feeling inside, she felt
good about what she did today. She layed down on her bed and fell
into a deep slumber.
A flies down and meets Loparu at his Inn room. "Hi!" He says
cheerfully. "It's getting late," Loparu mentions. "Lets get some
sleep." Loparu had collected some straw for an extra bed, and put
it beside his own in advance. A nodded thankfully, and lay down as
a bird to sleep. Loparu feels he can trust A... he turns into a
coyote and drifts to sleep.
