Melody floats down from her branch and sings. She looks at the
music box in the small bag tied around her leg. She opens it and
listened sadly as she hears it play her late mother's favorite
song. Her mother always called it "The relic song." Melody
remembered reading about a special form Meloetta could take once it
learned the song, ironic. Now she was meloetta and the song might
relieve her of her sadness. Yet, she didn't sing along, she put the
music box away and thought about her life and her friends, that she
hadn't seen since she touched the summon item.
Why was he like this? Why did he have to start this mess? If he
died here, at least he wouldn’t have to deal with the world
anymore... that’s a plus...
He began to wake up, but he couldn’t open his eyes. He just knew
that he was alive, he could feel the grass and hear some rustling,
seemingly footsteps. Something had landed on his shoulder, maybe
they attacked them? He couldn’t worry about that now. He had to
focus on waking up.
He looked at the berry then back at Reye. Why was it giving him a
berry? Why was it being so kind to him? He had a feeling that it
tried to help him, but why? He slowly moved his arm towards the
berry and grabbed it, examined it, then ate it.
He didn’t have a nightmare like he usually did. He would always
have nightmares as a human, but this was different. He wasn’t human
anymore. He was the thing he hated most. But still... shouldn’t he
have something? At least a dream?
